I booked a Challenger R/T at the Oakland Airport at Budget car rental and they got me into a Challenger GT. When I turn on the car, it didn't have a rumble what get out of a HEMI. I pop the hood it's obvious you have the Pentastar 3.6L V6. I told the rental car company I rented a V8 and they got me into a Mustang GT 20 mins later. Overall, I rented a non GT Charger before and it drives like a regular car. The front grill makes it look aggressive (a little), but it's a regular car that can drive at highway speed.

Tbh the only benefit I see from suvs is internal height . Otherwise the chargers have fairly big trunks and cabin space is roomy . And you can drop the seats in the back if you need more room . Subs use weak engines for their size often and are clumsier with barely any more useful space . I like the idea of an suv but fuel economy and pricing for barely a huge difference doesn’t seem worth it.

The Charger SXT and GT trims with na 3.6L V6 are larger (more comfy), about 700 lb heavier, 300 hp and 270 lb ft, yet quicker at about 6.5 sec 0-60 and get 19/30 mpg.
Ding ding ding. Winner winner chicken dinner. Got one for my wife and our 3 kids. Tired of my Sequoia that only gets 15mpg. This is funner and still roomy enough.

I have a 2020 GT AWD. I know first hand it's faster from 60 to 90 MPH than a similar Scat Pack. The SP aero bits may actually be hurting it in a straight line. I know it can do a 4 wheel burnout (sometimes). I feel like that's an electronic limitation more than a powertrain limitation. Mine doesn't have a hellcat logo in the climate control.
Sure. Your R/T has more power. I'm just saying a GT is an amazing awesome car. I also have adaptive cruise control which you probably don't have, and AWD which you DEFINTELY don't have. I have sport mode, launch control, 1/4 mile timers, AC seats, nav, wifi onboard internet, and everything else you have. I also get over 20 mpg all the time, and over 30 at 80+mph driving cross-country. What do you get? 10? The GT is a great car. I sacrifice about 60 hp and get everything else. Pretty good trade.
