One of THE best, creepiest and most beautiful songs, not only by Rammstein, but in general. However, I agree that you have to listen to the studio version. It is experience that you, definitely, shouldn't miss. 🖤
A versão de estúdio é a melhor, totalmente macabra e te deixa perturbado porque o sentimento é passado de maneira tão direta que ela "machuca"
I was here just to say the same, the studio version is much darker, but also one Off their best songs
For me, its Wiener Blut, but Puppe is right behind it.
You MUST listen to studio version of this song!
AMEN!! The first time I heard this song on the album I got some massive chills when intense part started!
@@TheErikBallew me too!
I've heard this song live yesterday and the moment Till starts to scream it hits so hard live I cannot describe it! The moment all those black papers were launched it started to block the sun a lot, almost apocalyptic!
yeah, the black papers gave a weird feeling
The black confetti and burning carriage were perfect live.
I love how it completely fills the air around the stadium, too. By the time the song ends it's like you're looking at the stage through static, and it's so surreal and so cool live
Till Lindemann is actually real poet, publishing his own poetry in German. And that can be heard in the lyrics of Rammstein songs. They are very dark, yet somehow very beautifull at the same time. Only Rammstein is able to do that.
On the album version the harsh vocals feel fucking RAW in a visceral way
It`s not a child,it`s a doll - Puppe means doll
The studio version of Puppe is the one Rammstein song that my adult son always asks me to switch off. Till's delivery on it is at another level of harrowing altogether. The live performance is outstanding, the props, the acting (Till as the young boy sucking his thumb and toddling like a small child and then mimicking what he's seen through the keyhole), the pyro on their own tell the story but the Till's delivery progressing from calm and accepting to rage-filled is a treat for the ears. The music, unsettling from the start, brutal when that drop comes and ending on an even more unsettling note. The use of black ash to signify death is so, so clever-you're left in no doubt that things have not ended well here. Glorious but punching the listener between the eyes and wrenching at your soul with the desperate screaming. Outstanding.
I've seen Puppe live (16th of this May in Prague), and there's a lot that this video doesn't capture. The performance, how much the sudden change of a demeanor and music in the middle hits, camera is hidden in the stroller, so you see on screens the creepy twisted face of a doll framed firstly in flames, then in black confetti that reminds a lot of swarms of insects, all podium drowned in sickly green light... It's bomb, I loved this song before, but after actually seeing live in person, this is just OMG.
Oh je, the meaning behind the lyrics is, a young boy lives with his sister, who is a prostitute, and whenever she has clients he is left alone in another room with a doll (Puppe), and is taking his medicine. When he spies through the door and sees how a client kill his sister, he tears the head of the doll off, tears it apart, because he does not feel so good....and the tearing apart (destruction) of the doll made him feel better. It's actually a very very sad song about a child with traumatic experiences and his reactions thereof. The live show is not really proper to the meaning, but I consider it still very good and I am so happy that they play it live. Its one of the highlights of their show. Everybody loves the song, despite never being released as a single.
Jup! I always have thought the child was confused about the doll and it was an actual baby born to his sister, but because brother doesn't have a good hold on reality, he doesn't recognize the baby as a human and kills it in trauma. The song is both dark and sad. Soooo gut, aber so erschreckend.
korrekt!
I am so glad that you will get to the live Rammstein concert!) I have been a fan of Rammstein since 2003, in 2019 I visited the concert for the first time AND IT WAS INCREDIBLE !!! I remember taking a selfie before and after the concert, and in the second photo my eyes shone with tears and happiness! (try this experiment on yourself) I'm from Ukraine and now only music helps me hold on, especially the new album of my favorite band!
Slava Ukrainie! Hugs from Poland!
@@PanAramMaram1 Heroyam slava! Thanks a lot! I am very grateful to the Poles for their help! All Ukrainians in Poland are unbelievably grateful to you! You are true friends!!! 🤍❤💙💛
Niech żyje Polska!!!
JA ICH BEIß DER PUPPE DEN HALS AB! ES GEHT MIR NICHT GUT, NEIN!!!!!! Really excited for this one!! ❤️ ✨
If you are interested in learning the different sides of Til then i can only recommend their live performance of "Wiener Blut". The story that the song is based on is really unsettling and Til`s harsh vocals and persona for this show are absolutely amazing and very unique in my opinion.
PS love the reactions. You are listening to a broad spectrum of genres to broaden your Horizon. Keep doing what you doing!!
I second that.
Yes! I just suggested that one too lol
best live Version so far: ruclips.net/video/Dwh5XIqEGxs/видео.html
Saw them 2 days ago in Zürich, Puppe was the "Glauque" (as we say in french) song, the staging was amazing, I wasn't able to see the musicians directly on scene since we were 50'000 people but the whole staging made it for me. I speak a little bit German and understand a lot. It was amazing. Till is an incredible actor.
Yes!!! Puppe - one of their darkest songs.I can't wait to see your reaction :-) Greetings from Germany
The deepest Rammstein story ever. Puppe...
The horrendous truth of sex child trafficking.
I love how you feel about music, I saw your reaction to Deutschland and I've been watching all your Rammstein videos for two hours; it is very difficult to find someone who not only heard the music but felt it, and it is beautiful when you hear and feel it; with Rammstein sometimes I see people who only say that it sounds very good (and he is very right) but I feel that they lose that background that there is, both in their lyrics and what they mean, which is something that I love about them and I don't I can describe better than you do, his lyrics are provocative poems that make you think and reason, they tell very direct truths and also express feelings and desires and they do it in a raw way without censoring anything; their last album i loved there are two songs there that are so beautiful Was Ich Liebe and Diamant i would like you to listen to them; I like that you not only stay with what you heard but that you go further, you search and inform yourself, I don't know you but keep it up, I think there is nothing better in life than being natural and feeling, greetings from Mexico (sorry for me English).
thank you so much! I really appreciate that! I also speak spanish if that helps :)
Yes, one of their best songs.
Also, after studio version check out clip for "Radio" and "Ohne Dich" - this is just gold
Don't forget Klavier
Nice reaction when Till stroked his mic.
For some songs it is good to understand the lyrics but your descriptions hit the nail on the head without understanding all of it. I am impressed by your interpretation at all Rammstein songs they are so accurate done.
Its allways worth to wait for your reations. Thank You
You're the best!
For the first impression you should have listened to the studio version. It's a pity that you're missing out on this first-listen experience.
1000% yes
I agree. The studio version of their songs should be heard before watching the live performance.
yes
Sadly, it's not usable for RUclips then... Gotta die one death there I guess..
For sure!
Can't wait to see them tomorrow and hear this song live finally!
I will see Rammstein live for the first time this summer. I am German and I've been a fan for several years, yet I never had the opportunity to see them in concert. I'm so glad that my friend managed to buy a few tickets for one of their shows.
My take: it´s a song about how violence and cruelty not only destroys children´s souls but also often takes possession of the person they grow up to be - often overshadowing their whole life. The little boy pulls that dolls head of, adding:"now I feel fine". He can´t process his feelings of inner torture other than giving torture cause he´s only experienced pain and despair. I think the act is a metaphor: That baby is the soul of Til´s character who´s now trying to get rid of the pain by setting fire himself. It´s as dark as it can get. The pain and desperate anger in Til´s voice is even more audible and chilling in the studio version since the sound on this one is not that great.
No song gave me this much chills since listening Weiner Blut. The song is uncomfortably violent but speaks of uncertainties prostitutes around the world have to face in their work. It’s tragic and uncomfortable and Rammstein doesn’t shy away from telling it
You must listen the Studio Version 😉
Studio version. Go go.
Agree!
Rammstein are absolute geniuses, and pure artists in every sense of the word.
i just went through this in San Antonio... the song got so.... SO MUCH darker being there and watching her face on the big screen screaming down at us while the flies poured out...i was in the feuerzone and we got absolutely covered... it was sooooo creepy... it was a just a whole new level you had to experience
Saw it life in Odense, Denmark, June the 3rd - this song doesn't loose its power, it's mindblowing !!!
Wow Puppe! pretty dark song and a great performance by Till Lindemann. Thank you dear Aileen for this post....👍

When the sister must go to work
Locks me in a room
Gives me a doll
And i am not alone anymore
When sister must go to work
She doesn't use the train
Her work place is not far
It is the room next door
Dark clouds gather in the sky
I nicely take my medicine
And wait here in my bed
Until the sun goes down
They come and go
Sometimes as couples too
Late birds sing
And sister screams
Dark clouds gather in the sky
I nicely take my medicine
And wait here in my bed
Until the sun goes down
And then I tear off the doll's head
Then I tear off the doll's head
Yeah I bite off the doll's neck

Tellement sous estimée ...
@@starforce224 oui , c‘est vrai
Wiener Blut is inspired by the kidnapping/incest case of Amstetten in Austria. Before releasing the song with their "Liebe ist für alle da" Album back in 2009, the band visited the survivor and asked her for permission to publish the song. Apparently they were all deeply moved by that encounter.

Some people think the doll is her child
@@burnsZY85 i think the first time was a real doll the boy was tearing apart but after seeing his sister get murdered by a client he went completly mad and murdered the client thinkig its the doll he is tearing apart but its feels good now.
@@burnsZY85 He is the child, that is why his puppy-waggon is as large as if he was a child. Because he is a boy forced to play with a doll, he does what a boy would do. He destroys the doll and feels better...
Yes, thank you, puppe means doll. There is no baby just the doll, the sister's representation, both in the lyrics and in the stage performance, in true Rammstein artistry.
The chorus with the heavy drums before the guitars kick in is so dope
YES!!
You're in for a treat seeing Rammstein live. For most people, there is a before and after their first Rammstein concert. A Rammstein concert is a concert for most of your senses.
Everything is thought through and you will see live concerts, in general, in a different light. Enjoy the show! It probably won't be your last. 😉
100%! Mei wife is a huge fan and took me to the concert in vienna in 2023. Now I am a fan too
That was one of the creepier moments of the concert when that baby was vomiting insects and the fire towers were spewing out them so they filled the night sky. Looked real...
I like how the heart beats go up when talking about seeing Rammstein live
I'm still trying to figure out where the sensor is... Never anything on her chest, wrists or neck to measure it.
Every hard message, every pint of fake blood and every explosion is purposeful, that is the allure of Rammstein. They never stray from their message.
This is without doubt the most brutal song they’ve ever written.
Forgotten Weisses Fleisch?
@@Biring1 or Wiener Blut
Quite some older Rammstein songs are about "damaged"people that sometimes do shocking or hurtful things, but not because they are evil.
When the child is becoming a psychotic narcissist ( Psychopath) , he’s not yet evil. He’s in crazyness ( Psychic agony).
In general about the last album where this song came from, after the first listen it left me with a slight disturbed or creepy feeling, was definitely a new experience for me
i've seen them in paris a few years ago , this song live was incredible , when the coffin blew these black flakes they floated in the air for a few minutes like ashes from silent hill , it was beautifull and weirdly creepy at the same time , and the emotion live where chilling ! one of the best show ever ! ( also , if you go the a rammstein concert take some earbuds with you because the sound is loud as hell )
I heard this song the first time two days ago live at Gillette stadium. I was blown away!
I am deeply emotional with this band...I am glad that you are using your plattform to give an understanding for this amazing band. I wouldne lie if I said that they changed my life. I started with writing music just because of their incredible music. They have the deepest emotional and technical understanding behind what they are doing.
Black confetti spitting in your face and that hissing sound. Brilliant
I love the way you say Rammstein,it's so beautiful 🤩
This is my favorite song alongside Deutschland and I can't wait to see them live this year
In case you are still wondering what the song is about, It's about a little boy whose sister is working as a prostitute in their home. She gives him "medicine" whenever she has a client (or sometimes two) and locks him in his room, and being a good boy he takes it and sleeps through it. Until he doesn't and finds out that his sister is regularly mistreated by her clients, often watching it through the keyhole. He does not understand at first what is happening, but internalizing until he needs a release, he mutilates his dolls (the "Puppe" of the title - he rips their heads off, bites their throats out). Till plays the boy from a young age (the crib coming on stage, even sucking his thumb), slowly growing up with all this happening (turning on the camera showing he is seeing what is happening), later even stroking his mic in a HJ motion, his crib going up in flames just like his innocence. Watching and learning what happens to his sister puts him in a deep depression ("Es geht mir nicht gut!" - I am not alright). There is some debate as to him just watching his sister getting beaten to death, or him killing her as a way to end both their suffering (the last verse changes "Es geht mir nicht gut!" to "Jetzt geht es mir gut!" - NOW i am feeling alright ).
I dont know how they recorded the sound for this one but this is the very first video where you can actually feel how it would be like to actually be there in the live concert!🤩
What hasn't been shown in this video is the POV from Till when he looks at the doll in the carriage the moment it is engulfed in the flames: the head is powered by mechatronics, and it looks like the doll is screaming in agony while being burned alive.
Puppe is such a thrilling song. It's incredible how they can pick any - not necessarily happy - topic and make a great performance out of it.
For the next Rammstein's song I recommend "Weisses Fleisch" live at Madison Sq. Garden. It's quite unique - Awesome movement, solos and Flake having fun. You're gonna love it
Richard Z. Kruspe the Guitarist is a God
Going by what some people interpt of the song, the 'puppe' her brother is holding is actually a child, his sister's child.......
Recommend Lindemann's performance of "Alle Tage ist kein Sonntag" for a very different type of piece for him that is also very beautiful.
on the live stadium tour 2023 ( I saw them in Budapest ), the black smoke and the black confetti, the complete scene and air around went total black, it was awesome!
Your going to love this
Reise Reise next ✌️
Got to see Rammstein live in 2016, had crappy mid level seats(they were positioned with a view from the side of the stage) still was the best concert I have been too! You will love it!!
Just saw Rammstein 8/31 talk about an amazing show! This song was so amazing in person.
you've very well summarized my feelings about Rammstein ^^
I've seen them for the first time in concert in Montreal 3 weeks ago, and that was amazing! you'll have a lot of fun! :)
UPDATE: Another incredible reaction. Can't wait for future Rammstein and other reactions!

Was eine Kraft , was ein Schmerz....das ist Rammstein..... unglaubliches Lied
Honestly, this is one of the rarer live performances that i feel is not inferior to the studio version (vocaly/mixing wise)
Definitely one my top 5 favourite Rammstein songs
Oh wow, pretty cool you were at the concert. I've been a fan since i was 13 and i had learned that were banned from the US, i waited 13 years to see them and it was a literal dream come true singing my heart out
I love this performance, one of my favourite live performances of Rammstein. Till vocals became a little scary at some point, the guitars and drums as usual are unique....Another Great reaction , Aileen
Love Rammstein , your reactions and your smile
Greetings from Bulgaria
I never was to any concert that was that intense like a Rammstein performance.
I just saw them live and it was totally badass!
I was so waiting for you to react to this, one of my favourites, awesome reaction and analogy, I’m seeing them again in June, stay safe thanks 🙏
I'll be at the Foxburough show in September! Super stoked! Been a fan since the mid-90's
Great song and especially the story behind it and the way the band presents it live is incredible, I love your reactions, I hope you can bring more of Rammstein, a song that is very cool especially because of how they interact with it public is ich will, you will love it.
Holy shit this I gotta catch them live
I've listened to this band for many years but Holy schmaltz! I definitely need to see them live!
from Belgium , i love this band crazy ..
Live Rammstein is amazing ✨🙌 great channel your reactions are fantastic, thank you so much 🎶💕

Rammstein 🔥❤🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love your reactions to Rammstein. I saw them on Saturday. THEY ARE EVERYTHING! Best concert EVER. Please do more reactions to their live performances. Maybe "Du Hast" live in Paris.
This might be my favorite Rammstein song. I made an entire d&d encounter around it, lol.
one of the best Rammstein's songs ever
I could be wrong but it looks to me that in the beginning he meets his sisters creepy "clients". It's very haunting.
The black confetti reminds me of the movie The Green Mile, where the actor releases all the evil and the bad feelings in a swarm of flies.
Maybe you can react on "Le Jardin des larmes" from ZAZ and Till. Till sings frech, very soft side but as always with a catchy message
I love till's vocals especially in this song. I wish I haven't missed the oportunity to see them this year
Another example that Rammsteins songwriting is most of the time ingenious.
And i am pretty sure that his "sister" is in fact his mother and because she is still very young as well she tells everyone (incl. him) that he is her brother, but in fact he is her son. The outcome of her job she has done until her unfortunate demise. At least that is what i think.
Recommendations: Rammstein - Weisses Fleisch & Asche zu Asche (Big Day Out Festival 2001) and Rammstein: Paris - Mann Gegen Mann (Official Video). LOVE your reactions, you're the best!
Forgot Rammstein - Wiener Blut Live at Wacken 2013 (English Lyrics) by educatedmarine!
I don’t know if you have heard some songs from their first album but I highly recommend it! Also, you‘re such an awesome reaction channel
prepare to have your mind absolutely blown when you go see them live >:)
Always the best in the world rammstein
If you haven't heard it yet, Führe Mich is another good song. If I understand the translation (I am still learning German), it makes me think of a person with Dissociative Identity Disorder who is experiencing a psychotic break and their identities are talking to each other.
Best Reaction Ever!!! Love Rammstein, Love you sis. Thank you for share ur perspective of my favorite band. One of my favorite songs. Yes!!!! do the studio version reaction!
I saw them live in SLC opening up for KMFDM...they blew my mind.
what a songgg
One of my favorite bands. Would love to see them live in September at metlife stadium (sadly a big Jets fan) but its on a tuesday.
Being Rammstein’s prop designer must be a hell of a job.
“Yes, we need a baby stroller that catches fire with a demon baby in it, oh and a giant pot so that we can cook our keyboard player on stage, and a giant pair of steel angel wings that spit fire, oh don’t forget the firebreathing masks, also a crossbow that sparks up, oh and also a giant pen!s device used to spray the audience in white foam. Got it?”
Got to see Rammstein in concert years ago in Cleveland. An amazing show but since it was a small indoor club I didn't get to experience the full majesty of their shows.
"Keine Lust","Rosenrot" - epic
