    You did a nice job showing content of different colors. In the US a couple of reviews on the U8 N is the black crush. I'm shocked that you didn't complain about it as a major flaw. When played the game Silent Hill 2 game At 9:57 the left arm is lost within the black wall. To me this looks real authentic with no artificial light like a POV from behind in a pitch black room. I can tell that if this game was played on a oled or mini led from the top highend or second tier TV's from Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, or LG that the black crush would just be lifted to creating artificial light to add shadow detail from the wall to the jacket at 9:58. At 10:02 you have black crush again losing blond hair into the black wall. At 10:11 the man becomes one with the wall. At that point there is no defined separation.
    I like how you showed your window reflections. My window is on the left side. I like how you put the camera off angle because your viewing angle choice doesn't show worse contrast like other USA reviews. I tried doing it at Best Buy myself and I couldn't tell if the picture quality diminished or not on the store content that was playing.
    Maybe with next year's model on the U8 Hisense will add better processing to fix the black crush to add more shadow detail but if that happens reviewers will just complain that all black will be so lifted with no dark black and dark shadow contrast.
    I'm watching the video on a Vizio M7 50" LCD. I'm going to add this video to my watch list and see how this video will look on a Hisense U8 N that I plan on buying.

    • @GLITCHEDZA
      @GLITCHEDZA  2 месяца назад +3

      Thanks for watching. Some of the black crush you see might also be the colour coding on the video so keep that in mind. I didn't notice any significant crush on my side and I really look for that because I can't stand it. Silent Hill looked great. During this scene, I did have to tweak the shadows on the video to reduce the camera glow and intentionally show off the black detail.
      As for the viewing angle, I am not sure why a lot of people think the U8N has the "worst" viewing angle when it was actually much better than most LED TVs I review. I was surprised to see how much hate the TV gets for this and I can't agree with it. There is a diminishing image but it holds up well.
      Let me know how this video looks on the TV. Be sure to max out the format so you can watch it in HDR.

      @GLITCHEDZA On my Vizio I did watch this at the highest setting. It probably helps that when you see the game on multiple displays and it looks the same on all of them then it's the game content and the TV because it can't show detail that the game studio didn't add.

    • @Yoga_Tv_buying

      That Black Crush is Def some sort of filming from camera. Because d Surrounding object is black, and the mid part is Dim so the camera in order to focus on Bright object the--VIDEO itself would experience Black crushing by the natrue of filming. I am very certain that in real life it does not happen. Because I have been using Hisnse U8s.
      2nd reason is if he has- local dimming set to High that the algorithm will dim the OUTSIDE edge of image more . Like how a STAGE LIGHT--to Zoom the Brightness in the smaller spot circle ⭕️ or STRETCH the Zoom to little bit Wider, or expend that circle ⭕️ to much Wider.
      So when ppl - try to OVER doing Local Dimming on Already VERY Dim Image like this- like Game of Thrones (already OVERLY dim) n ppl Dim it again , the TV software would Dim it more.
      Also for Film reason sometimes ppl DIM the video MORE to Show ppl HOW black/clean it CAN look like . But in real life they will set the --Black level- up lifted a little to SEE more shadow details.
      OR they can JUST set Back light Higher , n LOWER Contrast(brightest white) to have --OVER ALL IMAGE Brighter without Blinding the eye balls. Yet all he has to do is to “ADD COLOR VOLUE” in color options .
      If ppl want --Revese Black Crush, they can just Change Settings.
      So in MOST of reviews(NOT this one) those so called “experts” will PUT the TV in weird ass FILM Mode or Dolby this n that to show u.
      IN Hisense vs SONY vs TCL reviews. In ALL content from -Stop d Fromo to whatever. SONY is always set with Contrast --at 90% (Contrast controls brightest whites), Hisense is usualy set at 44-50%. Yeah. Those much older dudes do NOT even play much video games. And they made clear” MY WIFE ONLY WATCH SONY. She Declared for years SHE doesnt like anything else”
      There is clear bias there.

    • @GLITCHEDZA

      @@Yoga_Tv_buying Yeah it is difficult to film these dark shots because you can easily overexpose the TV and show more blooming than it actually has. Then you can also darken it too much to clean up the exposure but then the TV looks too dark.
      In this case, the HLG video format will also be a different experience for everyone depending on how their display is calibrated. But my video editing tweaks on this video were intentionally done to show the most accurate depiction of the TV experience. Unless I have stated otherwise in the video where I overexposed to show the backlight bleed and dimming.
      The point of the Silent Hill 2 part was to show how well the TV dimmed on "High" local dimming while still maintaining the details in the dark corridors. You will likely see more detail in real life. The shot is darkened to clean up the scene which did result in some loss of detail.

    Hi, your reviews are always good bro, thanks. So I'm still struggling with making a choice between a 75inch U7N and 65inch U8H as they're priced the same. Please try to answer what you'd do if it were you? Are they worlds apart? Difficult choice as I'll probably push 5 years+ with whatever I go with.

    • @GLITCHEDZA
      @GLITCHEDZA  2 месяца назад +2

      I would go for the U8H. I remember last year's TV and it was very good. Almost identical to this U8N. Crazy blacks and a very bright panel. Yeah, 75 U7N is good but the U7N has just a bit too much blooming for me. I would rather go smaller, better panel, less blooming, brighter display etc. You'll probably regret the 10-inches for a week and get over it when you start watching the TV.

    Can i just say how much I appreciate your content bruh. We need more local reviewers.
    I'm looking for 2 65" tvs for my house. I would absolutely love a U8K or U8N but the N is too pricy for me right now, and the u8k is sold out everywhere. How would Hisense Q7N, U6N compare to something like Samsung Q70D? Or how would the Samsung compare to the U8N? Any advice ?

    • @GLITCHEDZA
      @GLITCHEDZA  2 месяца назад +2

      Haha thanks for watching and supporting. Always helps motivate to do more.
      The Samsung Q70D doesn’t have any local dimming. The same as the Hisense Q7N (also known as the QD7N in the US btw). So if you’re looking into these TVs then you need to know that black levels aren’t great. The general peak brightness isn’t anything remarkable on these TVs either.
      The Hisense U6N Pro, however does have local dimming and quite decent panel. Peak brightness is also good for the TV’s price tag. It’s likely the best entry-level Mini LED TV. Great value for what it does.
      Tough compare U6N it to the U8N though because this U8N has triple the peak brightness and local dimming zones. It’s in a league against the Samsung Neo QLED range.
      So if you’re looking for good TVs, you’ll need to look at U6N, U7N, U8N, Samsung Neo QLED (QN90D). The latter bunch are more higher-end tbh.
      If you’re not worried about peak brightness, HDR, local dimming etc, the Q7N and Q70D are good TVs. But they aren’t for those who want the “better” features. TLDR - try avoid TVs with no local dimming. It’s a big deal for picture quality.

To my shocking discovery , all the VAs had drastic Mark down , d ADS pro 75” U8K has almost d same price as new release of 75” U8N (they release all d U8s in Late Dec and even Early Jan ) much ahead of time to test d market . The ADS- Pro is seen as the Newest Most premium in Asian Premium tv market .

    Nobody says if there is a power button on this TV, I can't find one anywhere. Sometimes i just want to hit a button on the tv if i'm walking by.

      Good point! The button is under the middle of the TV on this model. Near the light. It is tiny.

      I didn’t have any issues with WiFi. I have, however had the same issue with my Bravia which makes me think it might be an android TV issue.

      I feel like my hisense just has a weak wifi signal range. When its within 10 feet of the router it doesn't drop ever. Same with Vizio. I used to use an ethernet cable to my TV before I moved the router.

    Will the 65" version handle dark scenes better with its VA panel?

      It will have better contrast. Much better contrast than the 75-inch actually. Around 280,000:1

    • @GLITCHEDZA
      @GLITCHEDZA  2 месяца назад

      To add, the contrast on the 75-inch is really good. You'll hardly even notice the difference. To sacrifice a larger display with more dimming zones and a higher peak brightness just for contrast isn't worth it IMO. That is if you're deciding between the 75 and 65 that is.

      @GLITCHEDZA 75" is way out of the budget. Just waiting till Cyber Monday to see if the prices will drop. The lowest I've seen was R18999 so far. Missed out on a deal that Makro had on the Samsung 55" S90c oled for 17k

    I'm in the market to buy a new TV and I'm stuck between choosing,I already own a LG 55 CS OLED and I want something bigger but not pricey,mostly for movies but occasional gaming if friends come over once in a while,so far I'm looking at games specials for the 85" Q6 at 19999 ,the TCL 85" C655 or C755 I think at 19999 and the 75 U7N at also 19999,I'm struggling with fear of missing out hence me stuck,if I go 85 then I miss out on superior quality with Mini-LEd (how much movie picture quality I'm missing out on from the Q6 against the U7,I don't know),if I go Mini Led then I miss out on that extra 10",what would you do?

      I always recommend smaller TVs with better tech. I know size is important but in a TV case, these larger TVs really sacrifice more than just one feature to get to that size. You end up with fewer dimming zones, a dimmer panel, no local dimming and a pretty meh TV just because it is big.
      Mini LED compared to LED is a big difference. I can tell the Q6 is not a very bright TV. Doesn't have HDR 400 certification. So this is quite dim.
      As for the TCLs, the C655 is similar to the TCL Q6 in the US. The local model is named differently for some reason. That is why it is hard to find reviews on the TLC range here. C755 is similar to the QM8B.
      I say "similar" because TCL has very big differences between the US models and local models. A few hundred dimming zones less here and lowe peak brightness too.
      I know Hisense TVs are "almost" the same but they are really almost the same now. Besides VIDAA, the specs are identical across US and ZA.
      I would recommend the TLC brand but I haven't had any hands-on with the TVs. I have reached out and they have even contacted me to start reviewing content but they go silent and forget.
      Not sure if this helps haha. TLDR - Don't go bigger if you appreciate better technology.

      @@GLITCHEDZA it does help a lot,I guess I just have FOMO, I had a look at games TCL it is c655 ,but there is C755 available online for a little bit more, the surprising bit is ,the 85 TCL c655 I wasn't really impressed with it's image quality,on the display model at game sitting next to the Hisense 85 Q6 ,but it could also be the content that was on compared to the Hisense, eventually I the 75" U7N caught my eye online and saw the quality in-store ,so when I have time ,the helpful gents at game said I can bring a USB stick with the 4k movie to demo all 3 models(85 Hisense Q6,TCL 85 C655 and Hisense 75 U7N) quality,I'm going to load a dark quality movie like the Batman to see the quality and brightness.
      Funny enough,I was supposed to buy a TCL 65 C745 on last year's black Friday,but then it was sold out on takealot,I ended up getting the LG CS OLED,I was inlove especially gaming with my PS5,and movies are beautiful on the OLED,the only problem is it is small,so you don't get a fully immersive experience.
      So I will definitely be leaning towards the TCL now.

      😊 FYI -- TCL Qm7/C755 has matted screen like sony X90L .
      Hisense U7N - This year Stepped UP using Last year Flagahip U8K screen very GLOSSY side of (Semi gloss) . Also 75” U7N has d epic ADS- Pro screen in those $20000 110” UX ( only 75” has it )
      Those r next level premium . They have 2X contrast ratio of ADS . Also has 500hz screen refresh rate !

    So you are one of the very few reviewers who have properly reviewed the 75" U8N ADS Pro!!
    Now this is the whole debate for those who want a 75": yes in principle and even measureably, ADS has worst contrast and it seems even a bit of a loss in brightest. BUT is it truly noticeable in normal use???
    Have you seen a VA panel U8N with your own eyes?
    I don't want to stick to 65" but that ADS panel is killing me! A 400% difference in contrast is nuts!

      I’ve had the TV for a month. Daily use and it’s never been something that I’ve worried about. Sure, on paper the stats are different but I can’t say I would take a 65-inch TV instead of a 75-inch because of that. It will likely be something you’ll think about for a week while using the TV but you’ll get over it because there’s a lot more to like about the TV. Once you have it, play some HDR demo reels on YT, let it burn your retinas for a bit and you won’t regret it.
      Granted, VA is nice to have but there are perks with ADS too. I enjoy the better viewing angles. It also handles bloom better imo. Well, the way it cleans up bloom anyway. I’ve just finished the U6N VA review and the panel is nice but I found clouding sort of “faded away” when bright objects dimmed. The ADS Pro panel responds to this bloom faster and result in an instantaneous clean up. Just from what I’ve witnessed this week with the VA right next to the ADS Pro.
      Not sure what else to say. I’m really happy with the U8N. I usually unbox these TVs, test them for a few days, film them and pack them up asap to get my Bravia back on the stand. The U8N has stayed on the stand and I don’t want my Bravia back.

      😊I Support GLITCHED. Yeah I was in same boat iffy about ADS-PRO. I am lucky that i live in 4th largest City in North America plenty stores to look /compare diff Brands/models yearsly. That I HAVE seen SONY/ LG / Samnsung Flagshiop against Hisense YEARLY. ADS-PRO had LOOKED Significantly BETTER than SONY A95L in PERSON> I am NOT making this up.
      😅I walked in store to look for 65” U8 VA Panel to SEE what it was like, but end up seeing the 55” u8 and 75” U8 right beside/ also facing. Samsung/ SONY’s QD-OLED. The ADS-PRO look like 3X price level Classy , high end with First impression. 4 STore employees Zoomed in to ask :” what did u do with setting (only takes 30 seconds to make the tV nice from service menu) as I was playing RUclips image to see if I was GOING to buy d TV 😂” n 1 Dude checking At time SONY A95K Right behind me ,,,got SO cofnused that came over asking me so many questions about Hiseense 75” n he was circling around the TV n going left n right checking (as if at Farmer’s marekting Buying a Sheep 🐑 😂) n d more he looked he got MORE cofnused about WHY this tv looked better than A95K (brighter, Higher color Density, More rich vibrant, vs SONY tvs usually look Pestle n dim out).
      Anyways….
      This Happened AGAIn. When i went to Diff store saw 75” U8K hang DIRECTLY UNDER the 77” S95D, A95L, LG g3 C3, A80L. the STore PUT the Hisense 75” U8K in --Film Maker MODE. And Also a Wall of flagship tvs, d ONLY tv had Price tag Ripped off was--75” U8K.
      Once i ask for remote. They gave me a --2020 Hisense H9G remote (NO blue tooth ) they prob thought i was easy to fool. And I used it to change setting (super annoying ) got it snatched. It LOOKED Significantly better than ANY TVs around. Especailly the 77” S95D right above 75” Hisense U8K.
      This is U8N ,,,,i can NOT even imagine MORE advanced it would look. U8N supposedly have 20% Level UP Color Density than U8K. So its bullet proof Once have Brighter tv, casted on thick color IT gets Dense 3D vs Watched out. :)

      @@Yoga_Tv_buying Haha so awesome you did those tests in-store. I feel like everyone should do this while shopping around because these in-store demos don't replicate the experience you'll have at home. You really need to have time with the TV to tweak it. But glad you saw the comparisons. I am happy with the ADS Pro. From gaming to movies, it really does deliver.
      I am constantly surprised at how its viewing angles are so much better than the U7N ADS Pro panel. So yeah, VA would have had its perks but I think this larger TV is a gem.
