    I am so glad i came across your channel! I am in Houston new construction sales with a huge builder. I love my job but I'm so busy I have almost forgotten what I love so much.... BEAUTIFUL new ideas ❤ The straight lines in this Toll Brother's home are making my heart pound

    I owned a Toll Bros house in MD and it was total junk for $650k. Terrible insulation, cold in the winter, hot in summer. Looked amazing, but so badly made. Make sure you visit when the house is in mid build status so you can see what is really underneath all the glitz and staged furniture.

    • @Thisishard2333
      @Thisishard2333 Год назад +5

      You would think as a premier builder you would understand every aspect of what you are building. I also spent $650,000 and they put the heat pump right outside the wall where the headboard of my bed is. So I wake up every time the heat pump comes on

      That’s really insightful, and it’s definitely something to keep in mind when considering any new build! While Toll Brothers homes often look fantastic on the surface, it's important to get a deeper look at the construction quality, including insulation, materials, and the overall build process. Seeing the house in mid-construction is a great tip-it allows you to really understand what’s behind the design and finishes.
      If we explore Toll Brothers homes in the Houston area, we’ll be sure to focus on the construction details as well. Would you like us to dive deeper into certain aspects, like insulation, foundations, or energy efficiency when showcasing these homes? It would be great to offer a more comprehensive view of what’s really behind the walls!

    Here in CA $750K gets you a 2 bedroom house lol. Though it depends on area you can also get a nicer brand new house for that price but not quite as big as these.

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  7 дней назад

      Wow, that’s a huge difference! 😅 $750K in CA definitely doesn’t go as far as it does in Houston. You’re right though, some areas offer brand new homes for that price but might not be as spacious. Have you thought about what type of home you're looking for in terms of size or location? It’s crazy how much value you can get in Houston compared to other places!

  • @wreckim
    @wreckim Год назад +6

    Here in Ventura County for $670K, you get a 1,200 sqFT Condo with a view of a lake, called the Puddle in the Alley. That's it.

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  7 дней назад

      It’s crazy how different the housing markets can be depending on where you’re located! For $670K in Ventura County, you’re getting a small condo with a view of the "Puddle in the Alley," while in Texas, you can often get a much larger home with more space for the same price. It really shows the difference in property values across regions.
      Would you ever consider relocating to Texas for the extra space and value, or are you more settled in Ventura County for now? It's always interesting to compare how much further your budget can go in different areas!

    Sienna/Missouri City is also very diverse. Racial make up is 40% Black, 30% White, 20% Asian, 10% Other
    Some families look for this and its important to note. Many want the luxury living, but almost often its always an area that lacks diversity and usually majority white. So those looking for a very diverse area and luxury, this is really it.

      Haha, you're right-what’s considered 'normal' can really depend on where you’re coming from! Great eye! It definitely sounds like something that could be part of a computer rendering. Sometimes, renderings or promotional images don't always show the real-life layout, especially when it comes to landscaping or driveways, and they might exaggerate certain features. A hedge blocking the garage would be an odd choice in real life!
      It’s always good to take a closer look at details like that, especially when planning a visit to a property. Have you ever encountered other instances where marketing images didn’t quite match up to the real thing? Haha, that would be a pretty unique security feature, right? A squeaky front door might alert you when someone’s coming in, but I’m sure that’s not exactly what the builders had in mind! It’s probably just an easy fix with a little oil on the hinges, though.

      Haha, it sounds like that front door definitely needs a little TLC! A squeaky door can be such an annoyance, especially when it’s the first thing you hear when entering a home. Maybe a quick oiling of the hinges would do the trick-nothing a good Community Construction Manager can’t fix! Do you think that’s a common issue with new builds, or just an isolated case? You're right, it can be a lot of house for the money, especially in Texas! But, as you mentioned, the cost of heating and cooling with those larger homes can definitely add up, especially during the hot summer months. Texas' intense heat and humidity can make running the AC a big part of the monthly utility bills.

    Nobody values a nice library any more. We have had a library in every house we owned, even in Hawaii for 30 years. When I look at South Texas it makes me wish for our mountains of Hawaii. At lease in Northern Ohio I get rolling hills with endless woodlands.

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  7 дней назад

      It’s so true-libraries used to be such a staple in homes, and it’s a bit sad that they’re not as valued in newer designs. And you're right about those large windows! While they bring in great natural light, they can also let in a lot of heat, which can lead to higher cooling costs, especially in Texas summers. Some homes include energy-efficient features like tinted windows or insulation upgrades to help combat this, but it’s definitely something to keep in mind when choosing a home in Texas.
      We’re glad you enjoyed the video! Do you have any tips or preferences for energy-efficient features in homes, or are you specifically looking for one-story homes that are more energy-conscious? Let us know what you're looking for, and we can keep those details in mind! 😊

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  7 дней назад

      That’s a great question! The price of a 70' lot can vary quite a bit depending on the location and amenities. Are you looking at a specific area in Houston? The pricing can change based on whether it’s in a more established neighborhood or a new development. Let me know what you're comparing it to, and I can help give you a better idea of what’s considered a good price for those lots!

      @houstontexasliving33 actually I'm in San Antonio, and looking for a new home. I would love a barndominium but I'm not finding a turnkey builder and reasonable lot to make it happen.

    Only thing I don't like is being so close to the neighbors. Toll Brothers for me!

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  7 дней назад

      Totally get that! The extra space and privacy with Toll Brothers homes are hard to beat. They really know how to build those larger, more secluded properties. Are you considering a specific neighborhood where Toll Brothers builds, or are you open to exploring different areas? I can help you find the perfect spot with that extra room and luxury feel!

      @houstontexasliving33  7 дней назад

      I hear you-it can definitely add up quickly when you factor in the property taxes and monthly costs. With taxes around 3%, that can really put a strain on your budget, especially if you're looking for a long-term investment. Do you think this is a trend that will continue in Houston, or do you foresee things leveling out in the future? It’s definitely something to consider when weighing the value of a home!

    Nice, if you want to live in the country and have to drive everywhere. I am glad I am single and don't have a female pushing to buy some over size monster house. A/C to cool those places would be a big expense.

      Haha, sounds like you’re all about that low-maintenance lifestyle! 😎 Houston does have some suburban and rural areas where you'll definitely need to drive everywhere. The bigger houses can get pricey, especially with A/C running full blast in the summer! Do you prefer smaller homes or maybe something more in the city? There are some cool areas that balance space with convenience if you’re open to exploring! Let me know what you’re looking for-happy to help!

    3 car garage possible?

    • @houstontexasliving33
      @houstontexasliving33  7 дней назад

      Great question! The possibility of a 3-car garage really depends on the type of home and the floor plan. For some of the larger homes, especially in communities with bigger lot sizes, a 3-car garage is definitely an option. However, in more compact or urban-style builds, it may be more challenging to fit. Have you had a chance to check out any specific homes or communities you're interested in? It could help narrow down which options would work best for that 3-car garage!
