I came to your medium. First comic book I’ve ever read at 29 years old. I read every single issue available in three days. Now I am going crazy waiting for the next issue!!
@@dantecrottogini529 Yeah I agree my gateway was the walking dead now I've read great titles like from Image comics like Saga, Lazarus, Invincible, Kill or be Killed, Deadly Class, Paper Girls, Chew Etc.
Saga is my absolute favorite comic. I’ve been waiting but it isn’t frustrating at all. It’s more of just a build up of anticipation. The moment the next issue drops will be such an emotional day as a fan since the beginning!
Saga is probably my favorite comic book of all time, Fiona Staples is my favorite artist because she probably the most all around talented artist I have ever seen but also her colour pallet and a lot of her settings remind me of growing up in Calgary and I have moved so much and always said how it is the most beautiful place on Earth with ever biome, season and unique weather like chinooks, how even the rain is beautiful but unique but the pallet of nature and especially the sky is so vibrant and I always see it in her colouring
What a delightful, admirable, and gracious human being. I've been a fan of the chap for almost two decades and it's so nice to see he's not only a GREAT man worthy of his success as a writer, more importantly he's a GOOD man who knows that appreciating happiness, as well as success, is enhanced exponentially when they are not given, but rather earned.
(no spoilers ahead) Be ready to de disappointed by the "why" of all this at the end of the serie. Vaughan built everything on that mystery and he didn't deliver.
When I finished the last volume of Saga I cried for like 2 hours. I cried myself to sleep because I was so emotionally invested in these characters and felt like I had lost a family member... he’s such a great writer. It was my first comic book at 25.... I love how his collaboration with Fiona helped create some of my favorite elements of the story. Wow.
Vaughan is one of my favorite writers and Saga is one of my favorite stories (in any media), it kinda sucks to wait for so long but if it's for the best I can handle it (been waiting for ASOIAF for longer and I'm still alive so hahaha)
Yes! Thank you for not letting Saga be a movie or something. I can't wait to get the next issues! But I'll be here when it drops. I'm inspired though, dope interview.
It was several months since the last issue of Saga before venturing into the world... it was by default I began reading the series....read the compendium allowed total emergence it the world...from Lying Cat to the Will... the themes of relationships, between husband and wife, parents and children are key... Im glad I waited to enter the ( Saga) world...
I heard someone mocking Vaughan, or at least Saga, for reading like a television program pitch? I understand that vibe, but this really showed me how it was Vaughan's diverse repertoire and storytelling that influenced the comic instead. And he's so gracious! I love that he works with Staples so closely.
En théo i personally loved it for its interesting takes on diversity, war, family, etc. Thematically it is so real and human, and the plot of escape from pursuit at every direction is compelling. I also love the action and that it constantly keeps you on your toes and how the characters have to deal with all of this. I could go on but I won’t.
I love the universe, writing, art and characters of Saga! Its unique, wacky, human, the themes. Fiona's art is wonderful and one of the first things that hooked me. I do like the font too. Magic system is awesome simple but nice
Omfg Pride of Baghdad is incredible. That ending =o. BKV is so great im so glad to hear saga may be closer to continuing than i thought. And funny enough im reading Y right now and somehow didnt even realize he was the writer. Wow. So many good stories. Gotta be one of my fav writers.
I gotta catch up on SAGA and I never followed up on that Lions in Baghdad comic. It's an amazing story just from the start, lions loosed from a zoo as war breaks out.
I love reading the saga comics so vary much ☺ 🍹 🍺 🍷 because of the characters they have in those comics that I love to read it's like a star war in the mix with game of thrones and dr seuss books for me I love this comic so much ☺☺☺☺🍷🍹🍺☺🍷🍺🍹
Even if he said it himself, to me this title is nothing like star wars or any of those things. It is its own thing. Way more special to me. This guy is on tier with Gaiman.
The scene with him and the little girl who had been abused. She starts saying she's dirty on the inside and he interrupts her... Lying... I literally tear up every time.
I HAVE BIN DYING TO KNOW THIS!?!? I get if he needs more time, I get if he has lost the plot and can't reconnect it, I even understand if he has just bin busy with other projects or any other legit reason but if he just gave up on it or shoots a quick load into a sock to get it over with it and gives it with us I will be really upset and forever saddened on what could of bin
Just read. I thought Y was a masterpiece, but this just topped it. Adapting Saga would financially cripple any production company, but it's possible. They said Sandman couldn't be adapted but its now on netflix
Does anybody else FUCKING HATE the cliffhanger. I'm not even mad he did that, just the fact that we have to wait 2+ years for a resolution and it better not be a fake out ugh.
The people who are great at comics dont want to leave forever to movies. Comics is their endgame and that's why they are great. These new writers today just want to springboard from comics to movies and tv
I think he is SCREWED to find a way to go on with the story after what he did. I really believe he self challenged himself with the last issues. Let's see if he's up to the challenge.
How could he have done that!!😂 my husband had to force me to read these and then couldn’t get me to put them down after I started. And I got to the end of the last issue 😢
i love that saga i creator owned so its not getting milked changed or whatever by some big published but on the other hand i really would love to see the whole package with toys and a cartoon with some live action adapation on the horizon
This is AWESOME news. I've awaited news on the second half of Saga two years. I'm certain the second half is going to be THE SHIT. Vaughan is one HELL of a writer. Lavender Jack...Swooping On Down.
I've been hearing about this series for years, but I'd rather wait for it to be completed before picking it up (I hate waiting for new episodes, whether its TV or comics). Give me 3 good reasons to read it, cuz I'm not all that impressed with the artwork so far.
SAGA is one of the only modern comics I read. Unfortunately the collected Book 8 was the first evidence that the work was really sliding and becoming repetitive and the first time I wasn't excited about seeing what came next. Hope it was just a minor stumble, but I was a little disenchanted.
I always got the impression she was female for some reason. Just her demeanor and relationship with Gwen and sophie screamed “charlie’s angels” to me lmao
My friend asked me once how I describe Saga, I told him its basicly Star Wars but if you turned off the common sense and took every drug possible at the same time.
"star wars, with a sprinkle of lord of the rings, and a dash or two of Shakespeare"!? that sounds terrible, SYFY. it's a good book just that, don't over-hype it, specially since it has started to drag a bit.
I love listening to him talk about Fiona Staples and their working relationship.

3 days! Can't imagine.
I need Saga its a league above most comics in terms of story telling and creating unique lore.

I FKN NEED MORE SAGA MAN--I BEEN A FAN FOR FIVE YEARS.
Y: The Last Man is one of the greatest comic books of all time. If you haven’t read it you should.
I just started book 2!
That book had me emotional invested in it 😂😭
Preach brother
Loved everything but the end.

I met Mr Vaughan after Saga dropped and he was a super cool dude, very down to earth and humble as hell.
Just an all around great person.
This is one of my fav series and I cant wait for it to return
This was the last thing I expected to be on my feed but I’m *not* complaining 😂 Can’t wait for Vol 10!

Vaughan is an amazing writer. I got on board late for both Y The Last Man and Saga and was carried away by both stories
He seems like a really cool guy.
I miss Saga so much. I love the story, the art, the magic, the erotic, the character development
PLEASE TELL ME SAGA IS COMING BACK THIS YEAR
It'd be the one good thing to happen out of this year.
I've been waiting since #54, is it vol 10 we're waiting for, Iight read the issues b4 the volume since it's been forever already.

I hope they continue to take a breather and keep it going, because once they start up, I'll be mad if there's another break!
Honestly for this to be adapted it needs to be animated.
Or else the budget might just be more than Game of Thrones.
Teniola Turton only HBO could afford this budget and I’m all for it
I gotta come back to this video after reading Book Two. I'm so far behind lol
