- The last two weeks I’ve been doing a lot of grinding on aluminum. Recently discovered beeswax works great for cutting down on aluminum loading up your flap discs.

Just went out and tried this to smooth down a weld with 120 grit flap disc. Tried it without and then with the beeswax. It just feels better while you are doing it with no galling sensation at all. I plan to keep using the beeswax, thanks for the tip.
After the flap disc, change to a 60 grit grinding disc, spray the area with anti spatter and go across the area from the side to flatten any blemishes
I've always just put a little WD40 on the aluminum before grinding. Has worked well to keep my disc grinder from loading with aluminum. Will find some bees wax to see which works better.
What were the results?
i personally use weld spatter spray that works well too
Theres special mix of sheep fat and some paraffine for grinding aluminum.works great and its way cheaper than wax
Nice video. Hey does grinding the joints down like this, weaken the structure? I was considering hand filing down the welds on one of my aluminum bicycle frames, for cosmetic purposes, then bringing it up to a mirror shine. Thanks
Bro why you using more time grinding on same area
I can using beeswax combined 40 grit?
