Hey all! I’m so excited to see you have enjoyed the first part of this let’s play! Because I had early access for a short amount of time I’ve already filmed the first 6 parts! I’ve just noticed I’ve made a couple of mistakes with pronunciation that will be a little frustrating!
- I’ve been pronouncing the husbands name as “k-eh” because when I researched the name, the websites I looked at said to pronounce it that way? NORRR.
- Baba means old lady instead of grandmother?! Oh nos! Perhaps she has a good sense of humour and wanted that....
Apologies for these ongoing mistakes! I will be able to fix them when I have access to the pack again (I’ve got the save to continue the lp too).

Wouldn't Kei being white-collar make more sense than blue-collar? I'm still listening to your intro, so if this has been rectified, good.
It's interesting how Kei's last name is Kaneko which literally means "money child" or "golden child" in Japanese, considering how he's so focused on earning money and following what his parents want, idk if this was intentional on Deli's part but it's still v cool ☺️

Yeah but, then she ruined it by saying "Kei" is pronounced "Keh", so... one step forward, one step back
Fyi, Kei Kaneko is also a pre-made sim in The Sims 3 Late Night.
I’m hoping that she learns that she can be a good wife, a good mom (someday, maybe) without giving up her interests and desires
Or decide she doesn't want kids, which is totally cool too. Having said that, I always make my pretty sims have kids because I wanna pass on the genes.

I think that her mom passing away could be the turning point in her life, since she wouldn't have all that pressure anymore, she could be herself
But I think before hand they should develop a more open relationship where slowly her mother excepts her and opens up to the idea that she is her own person! That could be such a nice catharsis!
Or the daughter can still have a conflict with her mother after she dies - she can haunt the daughter as a ghost

I’m glad you took a much needed break! But I’m not gonna lie, I missed this. Your LP’s are what got me into the Sims and you were my first ever sub so I feel like I’m back to my happy place. :)

Unpopular opinion: I would love to see them learn to love each other and their differences and explore their own hobbies while, at the same time, also learn to be a loving caring traditional Japanese family that upholds tradition and family values.

So so happy to have another Deli Lp! You have a real gift for bringing all types of characters and stories to life and making them realistically flawed yet lovable and compelling to watch as well.
I understand totally that it's been hard to get inspired or motivated during lockdown, so it means a lot to me (and to everyone I think) to have another lets play to watch!
You likely won't see this but I've been watching since the Barbie series (which I miss terribly, I mean ken in the man bath anyone?), and your videos always feel like such a chill and safe space for me when things get crazy and anxious. Thank you for being just the loveliest human being and most genuine person on RUclips! :)

Btw, in Chinese baba means dad, which makes it even weirder for me.
Same with polish. Baba is a rude word for a woman usually old but yeah lol
in russian you can call your grandma 'baba'+her first name, but 'baba' also is a rude way to say 'female'
In Czech and other Slavic languages, Baba means 'old hag' 🤣
Honestly this expansion pack looks really fun and exciting! Definitely gonna get this when it comes out! Plus I love the fact that well know RUclipsrs were able to help make this pack!
Anyone else think that sims should get a sad moodlet from their parents getting divorced? As someone who has divorced parents, I feel like it would be a lot more realistic. Just me?
They actually do! They get a "Witnessed divorce" moodlet, but only if they were actually in the room. I know because once I had twin toddlers, and my sims couple divorced. They were in the kitchen, and one was in the highchair, one was in the living room. The one who actually saw it happen got the moodlet, while the other one didn't. Similar to how it used to be that you would only get sad over a family member or friend's death if you witnessed it or reacted to it.

How quickly are you going to have them have kids? I feel like both of them would want to "do their duty."
And this is just my headcanon, but if you have a little girl I feel like it would melt Kei's heart a little. He'd still ignore his wife & any scrap of time and energy he had left would go to his daughter.

I immediately thought that a great plot twist would be that the wife was gay but then I realized her big "change" is probably just going to be extreme sports 😂
I love how they take off their shoes!! Every time I show my mom my sims, she's so annoyed that they don't take off their shoes 😂
I feel like Sara could start volunteering. Maybe thats what introduces her to snow sports? She want to show people shes pure and kind so she volunteers a lot. And I love the idea of them both possibly being lgbtq+ super cool
Deli said she didn't know who built the starter home but then I saw the blue outdoor paint and an easel on a porch and a computer in a bedroom and I just KNEW

I’m so excited that Deli has taken the opportunity to tackle this type of storyline. I’m not of the same ethnicity or culture as Sara but I really connect with this issue and deal with expectations of my future in my own culture, I hope Sara finds her independence!

This Kotatsu is all I ever wanted in the Sims. I had a CC one in the Sims 2 and just got one in Sims 4 last month. This is perfect
oof, being newly weds with one of your mothers living with you. That's got to be rough. My husband wanted his mother to move in with us. I wasn't all for it, but I understood the reasoning for it. Thankfully she wasn't down for it. I don't hate my MIL, I just would NOT want to live with her.

Some ideas for the LP:
- Maybe Sara wants to have kids but Kai hates children and he just wants to focus on his work.
But then Sara gets pregnant from Kai (not plannend). Sara was so excited she always wanted a child, so she immediately told Kai. But then Kai is going to walk away because he HATES childeren and is going to catch up with some other ladies (or with some other men) and lets Sara alone with his baby. TEA 😝
- I also saw in the comments someone saying that Kai maybe is gay, and I LOVE that idea 😍
Thankyou for all the work for the LP etc, keep it up! I am going to enjoy this a lot. Right now I have a week full of exams, and this is really helping me to take a rest. ☺️

For sure I think someone is going to cheat but I am unsure about the children part because Sara is kinda of being forced to get married and have kids ( her mum really wants grandchildren ) so if you get forced to do something there is chance to rebel . I would of thought that Keh had been brought up to have kids and so expects Sara to have some and maybe if they do Keh wouldn’t be willing to help out . Another idea i have is that the grandmother who has all the more old fashioned beliefs notices that Sara is unhappy and tells Sara to do something that makes her happy whether that’s picking up a new hobby or a divorce ! Anyway these are just my ideas and I hope all of your exams go well , when I am stressed I always go to watch my favourite sims RUclipsrs too !

When the pack first came out I was uncertain how it would fit into my gameplay, and was unsure about whether I would buy it or not even though I like skiing and absolutely LOVE rock climbing. But now even little details that I see like the snow sparkling or the rock climbing shoes or the little carabiner clip on the pants or even just the fact that there is a healthy food category for cooking now makes me so excited for this pack! Thank you for doing this let’s play Deli, because I love seeing the little things that you might not see if you just gave a review of the pack!
