- Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue says extra police resources have needed to be mobilised to stop these people from vandalising ULEZ cameras.
“The last time I checked about a quarter of all the cameras have been destroyed or vandalised,” Ms Krakue said.
“These police officers are going around in vans which is not exactly environmentally friendly.”

The Mayor of London should have given the public a chance to vote on ULEZ cameras! He didn’t because he knew it would be rejected! The public are fully justified in standing up to this tyranny!!

First you have to be clear on cause, rather than symptom. The ULEZ is a symptom. The state, in this case Khan, is desperate for cash. He wants to pay his mates huge amounts of money. ie. Politiicians are personally looting. Another symptom.
So what's the true cause. A hint comes from the spending on debts. 30% of tax goes on the debts.
So what is the national debt? It's not the number the state reports. That's just national borrowing. The true debt is far more. It's getting close to 20 trillion. The big debts are the pension debts and there are no assets to pay those debts. You have to tax with no services. ie. You can only pay the pension debts with austerity for the workers. Or the pensioners get the austerity with cuts to their pathetic pensions.
Now the growth of the pension debts is 10%+ a year. The state cannot grow its way out of that debt.
So when does it go tits up? Well it depends on the level of austerity the public will accept, and on politicians being able to hide the cause, their fraud.
When it tips, I agree. Either people cut the middle man out, the courts, or a new regime has to make a real example of those that caused the mess, because they have to implement the cuts.

£12.50 equates to just over £4,500 per year,and it's older cars/poorer drivers that have to pay, and £4,500 is worth more than the car in some cases.
Don't forget that In the UK road fuel is taxed at 50% ,drivers pay an annual road tax and insurance tax, direct to central government already.
So enough is enough.

It’s 2015 economic cars that are non compliant but I can get a 1990 Mitsubishi that has 4x CO2 emissions and that’s fine, so this is actually much worse for the planet. It makes no sense.

As a 69-year-old Londoner(29 years in INNER London,where the air is not great and the scheme has been going for 2 years) and 40 years in Outer London, where the scheme started last week and the air is good quality, especially on the edge of London. It will only mean a 3% drop in Nitrous Oxide and in return, millions of lives will be adversely affected.The Public Transport in INNER London is fine and I had 33 Bus routes within 3 miles and Tubes and Train lines but in Outer South East London there is NO TUBE and relatively few buses. This will tax the poorest at £4,500 per year as they are the ones with older cars. This is purely a Cash Cow and the only death,10 years ago, was in INNER London, already covered.
As an Aussie in Kent but in the new zone, I live in a village surrounded by woodlands and farmers fields. As Nigel Farage recently proved in Cudham during his live GB news show, the air pollution level was under 4. 10 or under is excellent ppm levels of pollution.

Not only will ULEZ penalise people for carrying out domestic activities like shopping, visiting friends and relatives, checking up on elderly relatives etc. It will also charge people £62.50p to go to work every week. With the amount of a family's weekly outgoings under pressure from constant increases, they now have the added expense of going to work. They already pay income tax, VAT on their weekly shop, tax and duty on the fuel in their vehicles, and council tax. So now the Mayor is going to charge people for the privilege of having a job that is required to finance day to day living. This from a party that is supposed to be in support of the people. I have heard a caller to a radio station state that thanks to the expansion he has handed in his notice at work. This man lives outside of the expanded zone but his work place is inside it. Not long now and we will be hearing about the repercussions of the expansion, like businesses failing. Apart from The Blade Runners, the only other form of protest left open to people is non payment.

money making bollocks. Here in the UK, not only are our vehicles under strict emissions tests on MOT's every 12 months but we also pay for emissions tax (mine is £395 a year) before we even use our cars. So if this becomes a thing then emissions tax is a sham too.

I endorse it entirely. Get rid of them all. Does anyone remember growing up in the 70’s and 80’s? Because that’s when we actually had an air quality problem.
The really insidious part of this is that, when everyone is driving compliant cars, the ULEZ cameras will be used to enforce road pricing. London (and other places in the UK) will end up with toll roads which will hit every car - EVs too
