Today TATA chose to invest in the UK because we are one of the most attractive places in the world to build electric vehicles.
It is wonderful to see an Indian company creating jobs for the citizens of the UK. Indians have created lots of jobs in the UK and have had a tremendous positive impact.

See we might think ya we can Export it but there is a reason why Tata took this decision they all do Cost benifit analysis for long term on these projects Exporting it is easy but regulations are strict mfg in that country is better than Exporting it all for several factors
Are chtiyon thoda toh research kar lete, one unit will be setup in Gujarat and another in UK .. because they want to reduce the import cost of batteries for those EVs which will be manufactured in uk. Hence both units will serve both factories in India & uk.
@@moodymood28Not necessarily, if we remove the high import duty we can import cars which are much cheaper than the ones produced in India. Just because salary is less it doesn't mean everything made in India is cheap.

Tata motors makes much higher profits from jlr as compared to a its own passenger car division . Even tata's commercial vehicles diivision makes much higher profits for tata motors. tata's passenger vehicle division only accounts for 4% of all profits.

@@amritmahotsav3378 Not true. Tata Motors wrote down the JLR investment by $4 billion before then pandemic. It was struggling in the years before 2019. Much of the issues were due to the drop in sales in the China market by over 50%. Until today JLR is making losses every single year, including year-ending 31-Mar-2023. "Sales are sky high" but making losses -- everyone can do that.

The annual financial report for all previous financial years are available for public download on their website. You can read them.

Its high time UK understands the importance of India and its people contributing to all levels of society, from construction to consultancy, cosmetics to medicine, entrepreneurs to investment bankers and much more. It’s the sheer grit of all either first time goers to second, third or fourth generation who has picked up opurtunites at all levels to grow and make a life, in quite a remarkable and wonderful country. It’s high time the government does a lot to improve bilateral benefits for both personal and businesses to flourish in both india and Uk. Uk now being on its own (non EU member) can set an example of what it means to treat india as a solid and reliable partner. In fact I would go to a certain extent to also applaud the contribution of other Asian countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan to name some. Everyone who migrates to UK, US or any so called developed country has one goal to strive for a better life. I wish to see better trade and relations and more to the point acceptance and appreciation towards these countries by the Uk government towards the people who take a leap of faith to go set up their life or as simple as someone who is just going on vacation.
Please note I am only expressing my pure opinion and do not wish to entertain any hate speech or drive any negative criticism towards anyone or any nation mentioned in this post. Just wanted to share my views as human being and a global citizen.

Since 2010, capital investment has decreased significantly. We have lost far more in business investment than this supposed “future investment” due to Brexit. This government REFUSES to recognise the damage Brexit has caused. If the prime minister was doing good, he would rejoin the single market and customs union.
