same iwish they would do a retro color change for a year all the models that have been around for 20 years should get the orginal color schemes just one year
My parents got me a stampede kit not knowing it needed a motor and transmitter. Took a month or two until I got the electronics. I still played with it pushing it off jumps. I was hooked on traxxas after I got electronics. Still a loyal Traxxas customer. Keep it up Traxxas.
My dad brought me home a tamiya wild one in the late 80s. Got me hooked I'm 40 now and have a old Traxxas rustler 2wd . My 3 boys have brushed hsp cars so they can practice, there now ready for brushless and I'm getting them Traxxas bandits on 2s. Passing on the rc tradition.
I remember my first traxxas RC was the nitro hawk in the mid 90's I was a kyosho guy prior to that. I just bought my son his first RC car for his birthday this coming Monday a traxxas rigid unlimited desert racer. Traxxas are the best RC cars around. Thanks for the video.
It seams like many people started getting into traxxas around the late 90's glad to see the hobby growing and being passed to the next generation. Thanks for watching :)
Great vide. I do remember selling 4techs I think right before the Tmaxx came out. there was the Nitro Hawk (think Street Hawk and Nitro Buggy. then the nitro sport. Then nitro Rustler, and Nitro Stampede and they went with the new TRX15. Rustler/Stampede and Bandit were still mechanical Speed controls and transitioning over to electric when I Started working at Hobby Shack in 1998. 4tech. Remember when T-maxxs came in tons of people bought them. no one knew how to tune them. or fix them. and always wanted to spend tons of money on shiny parts.
I still have my TRX-3 and Monster Buggy, might research that beast. Had an LS-II (still have the body in box art graphics) and also the NitroHawk (what nightmare to run that was).
My first RC was a tamaiya hump back monster beetle, I currently have a Nitro Rustler that was given to me to give me something to occupy my time after heart surgery, and I love it, it is heavily modified now, lol.
I have driven the trx1 on a track in 1995 it drove really good. I had a couple of traxxas myself the bandit from 2001 and know I have a bandit vxl on 2s
Been Building and Bashing since I was a kid in the 80s and 90s!! Came along way from the Radio Shack day...😄 All Traxxas needs now is a Scale Lowrider! Either a 50s style Bomb, or a Mini Truck Style.....no one could stand a chance!!!!!
I had my original Tmaxx up until a few years ago when I sold it. I do miss that thing some times, then I look over at my Xmaxx and smile at just how big the thing is.
i didnt really get into rc until about 2013. i am still blown away with the power and speed you get with lipo and brushless motors. i didnt know about the little drone and chopper
Great video! It needs a new chapter now. One that includes the copyright lawsuit they brought against WB for their name "HBO Max" infringing on their ip "X Maxx" and serving cease and desists to people making hop ups for their trucks.
My RC list since I was 11 years old: Traxxas Slash 2wd brushed (Christmas '09) Used Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL (April '13) Losi 5ive-t 29cc RTR AVC (Aug '16) WPL B36 6x6 (December '20) I may not have owned many but Traxxas was and still is a excellent place to start you RC hobby life. Much love.
Forgot to mention in the early 90s, they made an on road truck that was rolled put during the same time when the Bandit and Rustled was released. I believe it was called Spirit
I still have two of the Bullets. One I raced & occasionally won a few races & another I built but never raced. Still like new! Probably give it to the grandkids one day.
My 1at Rc was nikko & now I graduated to traxxas what a difference it made the experience with traxxas is amazing more realistic models I own the traxxas bandit & the traxxas rustler these Rcs are my daily drivers & I personally wanna thank traxxas for your amazing work craftsmanship on these killer Rcs & yes yall Rock & team traxxas keep em comin in 2022 👊🏁🏁
This was a fun trip down memory lane. I've bought a lot from Traxxas over the decades ... Sledgehammer, Stampede, Nitro-Stampede, Villian boat, E-Maxx, Slash VXL and Slash 4x4. Before that I owned a LaTrax Corvette, which I think has some heritage back to Traxxas. My next Traxxas toy will probably be the new Sledge! :-)
Good video. You mentioned one of my friends in the video, but they spelled his name wrong in the racing results all those years ago, we used to always joke with him about it. It's John Walters. I used to also race a Traxxas TRX-1 and Blue Eagle LS. They were competitive cars with just a couple of modifications, compared to other brands needing many mods to compete. It's a shame that Traxxas has abandoned the racing market.
In the mid-late 90's my neighbor got a Bandit and I've been hooked since. Traxxas isn't my favorite manufacturer but they have done alot for the hobby and making it affordable for beginners..
Interesting video, shame they didn’t keep a top line racing buggy. But buggy racing on the whole died back during the mid 90’s. I still race a TRx3 in vintage events today.
Love it. My first kit was a Rustler back in the 90's. That, the Bandit, and the Stampede were all readily available as kits back then as well. I bought bearings and the XL-5 ESC right out of the gate. Good times!
My dad still has his 2002 stampedes that I have 2 of running and the other for parts. We have a lot of other traxxas old vehicles too like the first t-maxx and the hawk. Wow time fly’s
Epic video. Traxxas rules👍 my first gen Slash & E-Maxx testify. And now we got the next sensation! TRX4! A pure technical marvel. I bought a Chevrolet K5 BLAZER and its an ANIMAL!👹
I remember the TRX-1 was representative of the “graphite revolution”. It started when many RC10 owners upgraded their stock chassis to aftermarket graphite replacements. Then Losi released the first car with a stock graphite chassis - the JRX2. Then Traxxas and other manufacturers followed in Lodi’s footsteps.
I had my first rc in the 80s but don't think it was a TRAXXAS. I didn't stay in the hobby and found it again in 2015 with the Traxxas bandit I got from a co worker and haven't looked back since then i have had two rustlers and a jlb cheetah21101 and 3 drones Good times
Traxxas generally ends up being hated by a fairly large percentage of hobbyists. Why? Just look at their recent actions in the market. Picking on the little players. Traxxas will never see another red cent from me!
The nitro 4-tec was my second but first road car belt driven all-wheel drive to speed transmission 70 mph I loved it but I still had my first truck the Clood buster now it's scale crawlers But I love it all 💪💪💪
This is a awesome video about Traxxas. I was a little kid in 89 and had a Traxxas Hawk 2. All of my friends had Team Associated and Losi RC cars and trucks, at that time Traxxas was the underdog. Fast forward to present day and now the the underdog is the big dog!!! Great story loved the video 👏 #TeamTraxxas
I just want to say that Traxxas has changed my life I'm an amputee battles with depression I got my first used Traxxas which was an E-Revo Mini and from that day forward till now which is about three months I fell in love with Traxxas I have a purpose in life and something that makes me extremely happy I wish I could experience the new Traxxas but for now myqc Revo and my used rustler 4x4 change my life forever thank God for Traxxas
I still have a first edition Traxxas villain! Slowest boat I've ever driven in my life! 😂 Might be time to upgrade her to 8S and get her into the speeds of my Spartan! 😂 Very sad that I sold my original edition Traxxas bandit along with my batch 1 T-Maxx in college, but I have a XMXX and UDR now so life is okay! 😂👍
also I remember watching those old game shows on Nickelodeon as a kid seeing them advertising at Traxxas bandit is one of the showcase prizes lol also great video by the way.
We don't hate Traxxas as a brand. We hate those who drive them as they never seem able to repair their cars themselves. They buy overpriced ready to runs. Run it on a track. Crash it because these things are not meant for racing. And have them repaired by others as they themselves have never touched any tools. They never learned any skills. Not in building. Not in proper driving/racing. And the toys end up on landfill as disposable. You simply dont bond with your rc car if you havent build it yourself.
The original Stampede had smaller wheel bearings and different offsets on the front and rear wheels. I had one and put the front and rear knuckles and wheels from a Hawk 2 on it to be able to use the larger bearings and standard offset wheels on all 4 corners.
I raced my Blue Eagle LS against RC-10t's and JrXT's in the early 90's and did pretty well... I think it is a shame that Traxxas abandoned racing, although the Slash class brought tons of new people in. I could do without the brand-new Slash 4x4's flying all over the track during practice though...
I miss those early 2000’s tricolor bodies
same iwish they would do a retro color change for a year all the models that have been around for 20 years should get the orginal color schemes just one year
I just got my hands on a classic stampede ‘ram’ body.
hi C L E L C...
'
what model with 3colors bodys
I miss everything from then hahq
I wish they would go back to making the FUNNY CAR !!.. that thing is awesome !
My parents got me a stampede kit not knowing it needed a motor and transmitter. Took a month or two until I got the electronics. I still played with it pushing it off jumps. I was hooked on traxxas after I got electronics. Still a loyal Traxxas customer. Keep it up Traxxas.
You should try other brands when you get another rc
I have had lots of other brands but traxxas is my favourite. They take a beating. Traxxas forever !!!
Traxxas was my first hobby grade but the best part about Traxxas is you can build one without using a single Traxxas part.
not true anymore! Traxxas is bullying all the little players out of the market with cease and desist orders.
Its just whatever brand of parts you bought then....I don't understand your point...
Big flaw something will have to have a part number for Traxxas because u said u can build a Traxxas without using a single Traxxas part
Not true
My dad brought me home a tamiya wild one in the late 80s. Got me hooked I'm 40 now and have a old Traxxas rustler 2wd . My 3 boys have brushed hsp cars so they can practice, there now ready for brushless and I'm getting them Traxxas bandits on 2s. Passing on the rc tradition.
Ah, The Traxxas Stampede, my favourite car
Awesome video, makes me proud to say I only own traxxas. (4-tec 2.0 GT, 4s Maxx, bandit brushed, Full aluminum Rustler 2wd VXL shelf king)

Now we have the Crawlers. I have several.

Traxxas is my favorite hobby grade RC brand. I love my mini slash, and I’m currently turning it into a high speed vehicle.
Hey bro! T-maxx Tony is here, and I learned something, Thank you!>
I picked up my rc habit/addiction during the pandemic. The Bigfoot got me hooked!
My RC list since I was 11 years old:
Traxxas Slash 2wd brushed (Christmas '09)
Used Traxxas Slash 4x4 VXL (April '13)
Losi 5ive-t 29cc RTR AVC (Aug '16)
WPL B36 6x6 (December '20)

Yep, purple white and orange. I loved mine.
I had a Cat and a Bullet ... wow Im old
I remember they promoted the Bullet by claiming that it beat a bunch of RC10s and Ultimas in a race.
I still have two of the Bullets. One I raced & occasionally won a few races & another I built but never raced. Still like new! Probably give it to the grandkids one day.
My 1at Rc was nikko & now I graduated to traxxas what a difference it made the experience with traxxas is amazing more realistic models I own the traxxas bandit & the traxxas rustler these Rcs are my daily drivers & I personally wanna thank traxxas for your amazing work craftsmanship on these killer Rcs & yes yall Rock & team traxxas keep em comin in 2022 👊🏁🏁
Great video. lol after watching this video i charged up my slash 4x4 and went out bashing.
Nice lol
Absolutely the best, I love my TRX4 and my X-MAXX.
Glad you liked the video! :)
Lol same here I got a xmaxx and a trx4 and is the best of both worlds
Me too. I do appreciate my Outcast 8s big block beast also.
Great video!!!
Glad you liked it!
I had a Cat,I never knew before it was made by TRAXXAS!!!
Thankyou for sharing..

Yes it is a shame. I wish Traxxas would get back in the rc racing market.
My first was a Traxxas as well still running them to this day
Love my trx4 sport. Bought it at the traxxas store here in North Texas. Truly and amazing place
They should try racing again
Love my vintage rustler 💯
In the mid-late 90's my neighbor got a Bandit and I've been hooked since.
Traxxas isn't my favorite manufacturer but they have done alot for the hobby and making it affordable for beginners..
I have Traxxas Ken Block (it was limited edition 10 years back in time) and i still love it
Cool 🤠🤙🏼
Interesting video, shame they didn’t keep a top line racing buggy. But buggy racing on the whole died back during the mid 90’s.
I still race a TRx3 in vintage events today.
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing! Greetings from Bucharest Romania!
Great video!! Thanks for sharing
Awesome video learned a bit now I want to collect vintage traxxas lol, thanks for that !!
Love it. My first kit was a Rustler back in the 90's. That, the Bandit, and the Stampede were all readily available as kits back then as well. I bought bearings and the XL-5 ESC right out of the gate. Good times!
Had the Nitro Hawk back in the day...totally forgot about the Sledgehammer, man I wanted one of those so bad lol
I beat the heck out my X-Maxx trucks and they keep coming for more
Soooo many memories. Good memories. Tks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it
My dad still has his 2002 stampedes that I have 2 of running and the other for parts. We have a lot of other traxxas old vehicles too like the first
t-maxx and the hawk. Wow time fly’s
Epic video. Traxxas rules👍 my first gen Slash & E-Maxx testify. And now we got the next sensation! TRX4! A pure technical marvel. I bought a Chevrolet K5 BLAZER and its an ANIMAL!👹
I had the same one when I was a kid and I'm still going at it Go Traxxas

I think there was an option with the kits on the team associated
Another good video. Seeing how traxxas has progressed is pretty exciting and makes me wonder what they will come up with next
Definitely a market shaper!
Rtr commercial airplanes 😂😂
I hope they make a 1/6 trx4 to compete with axial's scx6
Oh sure they progressed…… As being the most greedy and shitty RC company in terms of how to do things to stay “on top”.
I have two T to Emaxx conversions and a full aluminum extended Emaxx (shelf queen) with an Xmaxx power system. Traxxas is good stuff.
Hope to watch more racing next season.
I was told the track is gone. Just gonna do videos at Daves places now.
I am a huge Traxxas fan..love their Cars
exactly what I had been searching for. Great video!
Wow! Remember reading the add for the .15 T-Maxx in an RC Car Action years ago in a hobby shop that’s no longer there. Simple times
The Nitro Rustler was my first Traxxas but the Kyosho Assault was my first RC.
Traxxas is the world best RC company in the past but now everyone said that arrma is the best but in my mind traxxas still the best
Definitely an awesome video you should definitely do another video in the future talking about the history of RC cars
You guys are awesome thank you 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Very cool video thank you ! I love the Rc hobby and community 🇺🇸
In my experience, the Slash is the most fun RC car ever.
Traxxas is hands down the BEST RC MANUFACTURER.
You must be joking 😂
A few years back I sold back to Traxxas one of there prototype buggies still new in the box. It was when they were still in a suite address in texas
Well done. Thanks!
Awesome thank you for putting this together. I actually learned something
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Traxxas generally ends up being hated by a fairly large percentage of hobbyists. Why? Just look at their recent actions in the market. Picking on the little players. Traxxas will never see another red cent from me!
thanks for the video nice update hope you also bring us History of Team associated.
Traxxas the radio shack of rc cars.
Nice to know where my traxxas came from.😄👏
The nitro 4-tec was my second but first road car belt driven all-wheel drive to speed transmission 70 mph I loved it but I still had my first truck the Clood buster now it's scale crawlers But I love it all 💪💪💪
Would love to get my hands on these classic looking for sledgehammer and many more to name 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Pretty cool video.
I love my traxxas trucks!
loved that bud you killed it!! god bless
Pretty cool and interesting video! Unique.
Great information and video. One thing not touched on was the Traxxas Buggy 1/5 gas car think was made about 1995 thru 8
I have a traxxas s-maxx 2.5R nitro and it's awesome.
What a cool vid! Nice work!
Thanks!
You did a good job getting all the traxxas cars
Informative video. I just mis the part that one of their current main activities is suing their competitors, slowing down the innovation.
😭
This is a awesome video about Traxxas. I was a little kid in 89 and had a Traxxas Hawk 2. All of my friends had Team Associated and Losi RC cars and trucks, at that time Traxxas was the underdog. One word says it all!
TRAXXAS 😎
I just want to say that Traxxas has changed my life I'm an amputee battles with depression I got my first used Traxxas which was an E-Revo Mini and from that day forward till now which is about three months I fell in love with Traxxas I have a purpose in life and something that makes me extremely happy I wish I could experience the new Traxxas but for now myqc Revo and my used rustler 4x4 change my life forever thank God for Traxxas
Awesome, thx for making this video tfs stay connected
Great video, lots of stuff I didn't know in this production!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Awesome video guys, i really love watching the history of rc products, and this was no exception. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧
Thanks 👍 Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Great video, brought back so many memories, how time flies!
Realy cool!!
I still have a first edition Traxxas villain! Slowest boat I've ever driven in my life! 😂 Might be time to upgrade her to 8S and get her into the speeds of my Spartan! 😂

I've happily watched this video like 12 times🥸🤓
Thanks a bunch! Glad you like the video
Great video Cole!! Lot of info!
My dad has an original stampede and it looks identical to my new one for parts
The original Stampede had smaller wheel bearings and different offsets on the front and rear wheels. I had one and put the front and rear knuckles and wheels from a Hawk 2 on it to be able to use the larger bearings and standard offset wheels on all 4 corners.
I raced my Blue Eagle LS against RC-10t's and JrXT's in the early 90's and did pretty well... I think it is a shame that Traxxas abandoned racing, although the Slash class brought tons of new people in. I could do without the brand-new Slash 4x4's flying all over the track during practice though...
Very true, can barley practice without getting wrecked now days
Great video!! I love it!! Very informative. 👍🏼
