It's the opposite with me. My parents fight and yell at each other "divorce me and take the kids with you." In the past 14 years I just went from the first born who just loved studying and didn't care about people's opinions at all to someone who just yesterday wished for me and my siblings to die so our parents can live a happy life.

My parents fought so often when I was little and divorced and after my dad married and had a kid him and his wife started fighting a lot and I remember having to take my 3 year old sister upstairs to my room to play dolls so that she didn’t have to listen to them. Another sad part is that I was so used to yelling that I was almost completely unaffected. My stepmom left when my sister was 4 and then was deployed. They divorced a year after she got back. My sister was 6 when they finally got divorced. But my sister never had to listen to them because I would keep her as distracted as I could.
I only cried and had panic attacks because my parents would throw chairs at each other and theyd punch each other and most of the time I had to take care of myself because they were arguing about my grades and how they were stupid to have me and they would threaten to divorce and one of them would take me and the other wouldn't get me but the worst was when they were drunk. It's gotten better now they don't fight as much but I still get scared at loud noises and triggers easily. I just want everyone to know what people are here for them no matter how hard it feeels or if you feels alone

Once my mom and dad were fighting while my dads parents were asleep. My sister was also asleep and I was about to go to bed when I heard them. My dad had drank too much (as per usual). That yelling woke my grandparents up and they tried to calm their son down. My dad almost hit his mother, stopped, and then instead proceeded to break the tv we had. It was loud, and I went to my sisters room to make sure she wouldn’t wake up. Her door was slightly open so I went to close it. My mom saw me and she had tears in her eyes. I wanted to cry as well because I didn’t like that she was sad. My dads actions ever since then have been different towards everyone except my sister. She his favorite. He now yells at everyone if they try to tell him something to do. If I don’t respond to him the second he opens his mouth, he yells at me. If he doesn’t hear my response, he yells at me. If I’m doing something he doesn’t want me to, he yells at me. It’s like he knows he can’t take his anger out on the other grown people, but likes my sister too much to do that too her, so he does it to me. I don’t really cry anymore, but then again, the incident happened when I was 7, so it’s been a couple years. He also thinks I’m ugly (he not wrong). His actions against me is making my sister say the same things to me. She calls me ugly, fat, stupid, all those things. It’s funny when she says it really, seeing as she’s the stupid one.
