Props to Rob on the backing vocals. Some of the camera shots were epic. James' vocals have been on point all tour dating back to last year. This performance was grade A all around!
I noticed the same regarding James´ vocals. Saw them in Warsaw in July, his vocals were really good then and have been for some time. They used to be more uneven in my opinion, I wonder what steps he has taken to attain this level of consistency.
12:50 this might be the greatest sound i've ever heard in my whole life, I always get tears in these last minutes as I believe that part might be the last thing they'll ever write.
I was actually there in Munich, it was soooo awesome!!! I had goosebumps the whole time, to be there at the live premiere, it was so awesome! The setlist in general was absolute fire, they played Sanitarium, Inamorata, Ktulu and No Leaf Clover back to back to back to back! And they also played Breadfan which they didn’t play for a long time. And Orion, Fade to Black and Day That Never Comes at the first show. There were some old school heads who were bored and were saying they should only play the old thrashy stuff, too much slow songs, but as a die hard fan like me who loves their slow epic songs this was epic and it couldn’t be more far away from boring… 🤘🤘🤘
Over the last year, this song has beocme my favorite song of all time. The emotional connection I have with this song now is indescribable. Seeing it played live is just... amazing.
Idk man :/ yeah agree in some tracks like Ride the lightning he's really good but he has a huge disadvantage . metallica saw jason's back vocals in 14 years . Rob is so insufficient in jason's parts like creeping death and many metallica songs .
@@cenkerbilen3609Rob just looks super awkward when doing backup vocals. Needs to work on his mouth shape. It’s always just a wide open mouth. Jason knew how to do it right. Can’t ever beat him
Chainsaw, I gotta hand it to you, excellent job, as always, breaking down each song you do from The Mighty Metallica! This song is truly Epic and I can’t wait till they play room of mirrors live!
Holy shit this live version is like perfect, good job Metallica. James sounds killer, Rob's backing vocals and bass solo, Kirk and Lars also nailed their parts, they appear to have started practicing 😂
@@chriskeyes713 dont act now that their performances havent been sometimes sloppy in the last couple of course. Yeah they played it for 40 years, but they are also old
I was there. I totally freaked out when I heard the first few notes and recognized the song. Honestly I have no idea what James sang or didn't sang, because I screamed the lyrics from the top of my lung out over him anyways. It was a really great weekend in Munich with a lot of great moments, but these 11 minutes ... I was a bit surprised myself about it just how much this meant to me.
One of the reasons its a very good live performance is because it´s played the way it was recorded. It´s kinda simple. The drums is easy for example. Their are no parts where you get disapointed cause Lars skips good fills or db and instead plays some crap. Basiclly their is no Larsisms:) To be honest, Lars is pretty much always the reason for songs not sounding good live. James is almost always mr 100% in delivery. Rob as well. Kirk is ok.
The whole band did awesome with this song. Kirk's last solo got a little off, but overall they really nailed it true to the album. My favorite song from the album.
Cool performance, love the song, great overall. James flawless on guitar and vocals. Lars nailed it. Robb bass on point. Kirk was ok. Harmonies sounded amazing. What I didnot like: 1 Kirk's last solo had a part that not sound right, he changed it. 2 Robb back up vocals sucks, it would be amazing to have Jason there.
Couldn't agree more with "one of the best songs they have written in a while". Imo its the only great song on 72 seasons, the ones they released before the album are good imo, but this song is above and beyond anything else on the album
James voice is so good on vocals maybe his prime since 03, but in term of setlists Metallica are constantly disappointing they completely ditched off Load/Reload/St Anger Death Magnetic Hardwired stuff like there is only 5 good albums, and personally most of my favorite songs are from newer stuffs.
LETS GO! I LOVED IT SO MUCH!

Alight now Rob!
I noticed the same regarding James´ vocals. Saw them in Warsaw in July, his vocals were really good then and have been for some time. They used to be more uneven in my opinion, I wonder what steps he has taken to attain this level of consistency.
Huge credit to Rob and his vocals
THIS SONG IS PERFECTION 🔥🔥
Just insane, Metallica are the GOATS
I need them to play Astronomy!
Yes!

Honestly this is one of my favourites riff ever. It's groovy, it's uplifting, it carries a ton of emotion.
I think they'll do at least one more album. No way they'll retire without announcing a farewell album, that's just how they are.

Imagine Jason on backing vocals though... Lol
Would be killer
Rob just adds enough to satisfy James ego... I miss the 90's RAW Jason kicking ASS!
Newstead is King.
He'd hold it down and frenzy the crowd.
I'm impressed with Kirk on this....
Simply EPIC!!! 🤘🥹🤘
YES!
just perfect!!!!
That was a nice surprise!!

ABSOLUTELY A KILLER SONG!🤘💀😭I CRIED WHEN I FIRST HEARD THIS SONG AND MY FRIEND OF MISERY IS NOT MY FRIEND AND WHICH I'M NOT LIVING FOR!!! NO NO!!!!!

Yeah they played it for 40 years, but they are also old
Went to their Seattle show. It was insane. They played this song then too, all i gotta say is live this song is amazing
Tbf I tend to sing "she fills me" where it should be "she kills me" and viceversa lol
Even James was confused with that hahaha
Yea I do it too lol we are all guilty lol
Sometimes I didn´t know if I was listening live or album version
Never thought they’d play this song live. Epic song. They killed it live!
Hell of a performance. Love this song so much.
I'm that guy who doesn't care about singing but everything is about Instrumentals and great guitar solos by Kirk ❤
lovely solo by kirk
I've been addicted to this song since forever
Great reaction, epic song. Thanks mate! Greatz from Holland
They need to do Chasing Light
They will but it’ll probably be the last one they do it’s the hardest one on James voice off the album
Killer performance! 🤩🤘🏻
i was there the drum kit was right in front of me it was amazing hope you will here it too live very soon
I was at the concert 🤘🏼 I am still mindblown that I have the possibility to hear it live 🤘🏼
I saw this live in Foxboro and it was awesome
And they played it again tonight: June 7, 2024.
Nice reaction. What a song and performance 🔥🤘

You are so lucky!
They played inamorata here in Mexico City and I cry a lot that’s my number one song of my life. Sorry but I love Metallica
I knew I would finally be able to perform this song live this year.
And it turned out even better than I expected🤘❤🔥
Agree 100%
1985 disposable heroes…
The best ever first time performance of any band.
Editor: Hey, look at this amazing dueling guitar part between James & Kirk AND I WILL JUST CUT TO LARS.
I heard it live in finland too
thx chainsaw 😁fabulous reaction 🤟
No problem 😊
I can say!!! This is the the best song since to live is to die!!!!! Cliff is so proud.
Imagine if they played My Friend of Misery as well...pure gold.
I love this song so much bro
I love your channel and your reactions!
Thank you so much!!
@@ChainsawReacts request for a reaction for the live debut of Suicide and Redemption!
Great job Rob!!!
I love this song
Sounded great too
So glad they played it. I was kinda afraid they would hold off a few years. Everyone sounds great
Saw them last night. They played this
Love the shirt! It’s like a 72 seasons Batman vibe
i was there, lost my shit when they played it
So tight!!!! 🤘
Они лучшие
They played inamorata also live in finland
Perfection

Great vocals all around. Only negative would be Kirk’s final solo wasnt quite right
Go check out Here come revenge live from lubbock a few years back.

Yeaa ,we need crown of barbe wire
I honestly didn't like 72 Seasons that much but Inamorata in Room of Mirrors are the 2 that I really like from the album.
Last word on this album is 'no'
Last album, last word was 'yeah'😂😂
I like the song, but I prefer Spit out the bone.
Fair enough. But to be fair they are 2 completely different songs
Im a massive metallica fan since mid 80s and is only song I dont like off album- " shrugs shoulders"
Favorite metallica songs chainsaw?
i m just waiting for youuu

James forgetting lyrics is nothing new... doesn't matter at this point, it still sounds great.
Fat bass in that song love it
Sounds GD as can be. Think they will play it a lot more. JS
What a sad crowd!
Bless their hearts this song is almost as long as an Angus young guitar solo
Don't diss on St. anger.
Hidden jem.
You're too young to realize it..😮
Boring and looooooooooong song 11 min. ! 😴
