Think it's a great sign going forward that the dev team is good at their own game, and doesn't need to rely on external feedback like data analysis to tune characters in the future like overwatch

I don’t know if anyone caught this but he said every character will be free to play at launch. This is huge since earlier on in this game’s cycle there was a filter to see unowned heroes, marvel listened and just made everyone free
Marvel isn't making the game, I believe it is NetEase. They just license the Marvel brand like all other Marvel games on the market.
Not only that but they officially said that every hero , map and gameplay element coming in the futur are also free , we'll only need to buy cosmetics

I have a good feeling about this game, everything we are seeing so far is pointing towards a changing of the guard in hero shooters. I'm not saying that this is the Overwatch killer because I think Overwatch will always be around but I do believe that this game will carve out its own place in the genre.
yeah overwatch'll always have it's rightful place in the genre but it'll certainly have a good competitor now, so here's hoping that game finally becomes fun again as well.

It's honestly refreshing to see Devs who are actually good at games. It really shows how much they actually know/care about the game. These aren't blind developers that just listen to community feedback and make decisions based on that, they also know how the game feels themselves, especially at higher levels of play. They're able to make better balance decisions, because they actually know what is/isn't balanced from playing those things.
Give it a year post-release before everyone starts complaining about balance.

It is definitely better for dps players but awfully boring for tank or supports and for that reason almost every game will run 5~6 dps comp

@@Jaguar-Hamm I disagree. WIth the amount of smart healing, overhealing and passive out of combat heals in OW, your survivability is INSANE. Everyone feels like theyre bulletproof - and because of that, healing is WAY less rewarding. In Rivals you get hit and you feel it. Your health spikes down. And that fragility, makes healing valuable and rewarding.
It's third person and feels nothing like it. Also, give it a few months and people willl be complaining about shit just like OW. Cute you think it will be different though
@@Adam-vx6to I have about 200 hours in Rivals already, its different for me. And I think a lot of other people will feel the same. Its not going to kill OW, but it will certainly take a large chunk of players, including me.

This is why i wasnt too worried about a widow 1 shot. Almost everybody in this game is a movement character so she probably requires a ton of skill

Sounds like a garbage game. Developers not realizing that gamers want SLOWER movement is cracking me up. The only people who enjoy these stupid fast games are children and no lifers like Shroud.
Honestly this game has the potential to have the most characters in any 6v6 game imagine each role has atleast 16-25 characters per role meaning counters won’t really matter as much as counter watch
I think there'll be a banning phase tho before each matches
More characters mean more counters and having counters in a game like this is a good thing not a bad thing
@ more characters does not mean more counters lol the reason why Overwatch has such a counter issue is because it has such a lower character count that counters are easy to swap to and go against almost every game / every other game ……… more characters means more variety and from what I’ve seen everyone has the potential to be a good character because every character has a good kit and doesn’t get heavily nerfed by a counter ……..

Haven't played yet, but the matches look as if you're playing a modern day Unreal Championship II The Liandri Conflict. That game came out on the original Xbox and this shows it was indeed ahead of its time.
Haven't heard Unreal mentioned in years! Unreal GOTY was amazing, didn't play too much of UC though but excited to see how this pans out!

Playstyle
Gambit’s playstyle centers on mid-range combat, cycling through his deck to manage various tactical effects from his Face Cards. His primary weapon, Charged Deck, allows him to deal damage, control movement, and heal depending on the suit of the card he fires.
Ultimate - Wildcards offers huge potential for AoE damage, strategic positioning with sticking cards, and detonating them for a big impact. Proper timing of this ultimate can turn the tide in larger engagements, especially with Spectacle stacks enhancing its potency.
Gambit’s abilities are key for mobility and versatility. His Energy Swipe is great for escaping or crowd control, while Kinetic Rush can allow him to quickly reposition or reload, and Shuffle gives him an edge in cycling through suits for the right effect at the right time.
Spectacle stacks play a central role in amplifying Gambit's effectiveness. By managing these stacks, Gambit can maximize the potential of his Face Cards, as well as use his Energy Swipe and Kinetic Rush for both defense and offense.

It is the same principle. 6v6 objective hero shooter. Once you will play it you will feel like playing overwatch

As a Widowmaker main in OW1, I'm also definitely playing Black Widow. I'm so excited about this game, I really can't wait for it to launch. Finally something I can play to scratch that Overwatch itch since I don't play OW2.

Ive been playing overwatch pretty much since release and always hated how the dev team insisted on one-shot abilities in a team orientated game.
Having widow not one shot is a relief.
Great start to a potentially great game, I hope they keep cooking so this game stays relevant for years to come. Cautiously optimistic!
