When attempting this, do not use any Isopropyl alcohol content under 70%, the lower the content, the more water the is, and the controller can corrode. Use with caution.
Only 99.9% IPA is recommended when keeping it turned on as it is non conductive and evaporates quickly.

IF THIS DOES NOT WORK:
My bumper had an issue where it would only click if I pressed hard
I cut out a small piece from the sticky part of a sticky note and attached it to the plastic part in the bumper. It adds a tiny bit of height so that gentle clicks still apply full force.

i had the same problem i just put wd-40 in it and gave it a few clicked until it tried and it was working fine if it ever comes to it i hope it helps cause 130 to 160 dollar controller just for it to do that is crazy

And this helps for 1day or 1 week and then it starts double clicking again... tip: don't buy the elite series 2 again.. big trash controller, i had atleast 5. Best pro controller for me is the scuf instinct pro, never had problems

instead of iso use bw100, a better solution since its a contact cleaner that wont eat your plastic like alcohol. Non conductive like alcohol

First try inserting a piece of cardboard in the bumper and sliding it around and then blow in the sides of the bumper with a straw before taking it apart

You can't really fix it permanently afaik

You have to replace that L OR R stick mechanisms but make sure to do research and have proper tools to do the change the stick mechanism replacement shouldn’t cost too much

The use of IPA is identical, though to open it you need to pull off the grips, unscrew 4 screws and 1 under the sticker below the battery to open it.

Never open that controller ! One year ago I open it and since that happen the controller fells apart more and more 😢 you can even see in this video that the case(front plate) is broken 😅

For stick drift a similar trick will work, although on the elite 2 you have to unscrew the stick caps fully to access the joystick underneath, and even then, with drift it's much more likely to be an unfixable issue without going for a full replacement of the joystick, which in itself requires soldering and a fair bit of skill.
