I would recommend anyone to not get the controller. It’s great but there are so many issues. I wanted to just map on of the paddles to screenshot and then hold for recording a clip. Can’t do it. Also can’t dim the light to turn off. And also I’ve had sticky triggers twice. They need to make a series 3 and make it not have this many issues.

Thanks a lot man, I couldn’t figure out how to get that rod out without damaging the plastic and when looked online I couldn’t find any “how to” or “guides” how to get it out, not even on IFixIt, then I found your video and with your help I managed to get the rod out and replaced my broken trigger with a new one, my controller is now working! Thank you very much! The mechanics totally stopped proper working but opening the controller let fall out all the plastic parts that were broken. Now everything works fine. Thank you for your guide. :)
Thanks so much for this, seems there was some bit of dust or grit behind my left trigger that was forcing it to be stuck on. A bit of cardboard did the trick. I didn't even need to buy tools to open it up!
Confirmed still all good info and fixed mine on 12.21.2024 - No complications. - My fix was a bit different. But, the video helped me get to whatever it was. I reached the point to where the bar was about to need taken out before mine magically started working again. It was the top right trigger. Nothing looked broken and nothing needed cleaned. I assume I had pressed too hard at some point and the trigger just became unresponsive and something jarred out of place. Disassembly and reassembly likely put whatever was out of place, back into place, thankfully.
I clean mine very well is a new controller i just open to see if something bad , but , the problem is only in the 3 short mode , is not reading properly only when i bend a little bit the LT , but if press normal without bend , is not reading , in the other modes read perfectly
Thank you for a VERY good video. I have gone through all the steps twice but i still have problems. It seems as my left trigger is scraping a bit on the left side. Also the left trigger is seems like it is always pressed down. (this is my main problem.) Did you say where the actual sensor/switch is located? I am trying to see if ther is any dirt/grit on it that makes it register constantly. Maybe they are just broken? Happy to hear your thoughts.
Any possibility to fix mechanical deadzone? I'm having a hard time setting it up to work on lowest sensitivity, the pad doesn't register clicks consistently and I don't really want to delve into software adjustments, as it''s only a workaround.

If the controller is not turned on for a long time, then everything is ok for the first couple of hours, and then the mouth and mouth just clamp down. I took it apart and looked at the magnets - everything is ok. Perhaps someone knows what's wrong or is there an instruction on how to fix it? I haven't done that before, but I suggest you clean the areas when the paddles connect to the controller. Go inside if needed and clean them from the inside.
My wife hit my controller with a bat or something, noticed my right trigger was sticking and the left thumbstick was in 2 pieces. You should see what she did to the rest of my pc.

Mine dosent have any problem, I just dropped mine and the joy stuck won’t push down, just a simple fix.

The first method worked now I just gotta get what ever is in my controller out
Tiny tiny bit of lubricant like wd40 or tac2 on the spring that you can see for the triggers stops the tiny squeak/creak noise.

There's also a switch on the back that makes the button stuck, check if it was inadvertently pressed

What if the gear attached to the trigger is probably literally chipping apart and getting stuck back in itself causing it to lock up?

I realized why my button felt like it was jammed. There are two button locks at the back of the controller one of em was down the other was up
