Amazing video man , I just have a question about your front fork . So how stiff does it feel riding 120mm travel on the fox 32 sc , because bunch of people that ride with 120mm travel tend to go with 34mm width like the fox 34 sc . Does it fell loose and unstable in sharp corners , or does it flex much ? I was looking forward buying this bike but I saw that it was equipped with fox 32 sc and I don’t want spent more money going with the spark rc team that comes with the fox 34
Hey! This fork is the 34 SC but I own a 32 rythem on my Scott spark RC comp. Check out my video library. The 32 rythem is amazing for a cheap base fork. No flex. No issues. My 32 Sid ultimate sl was flexy.
Thanks for the vid, watched your original as well. I’m heavily leaning towards the spark RC team black but definitely want a dropper post. I like the three lever twin lock out on the spark 910. Would like to replicate on RC. How much did the dropper post and three lever twin lock upgrade cost you? Fellow Jersey boy here!
@@addictcyclist i would have gone with Esi racers edge instead i’ve tried them both more than once and way less numbness and more comfortable with the racers edge. other than that, I wouldn’t change a thing , if it were mine. You definitely know how to dial in a bike

@@addictcyclist awesome thank you. I didn’t realise you could get a match maker for these as all the twinlocs I have seen have their own clamp. This looks much better!
@@addictcyclist I just got rc pro today. Opted for large size. I’m only 5,10 but last spark felt a little small. Because of that I could not get seat height right so ditched the transfer and ordered syncros carbon fiber. Next upgrade might be wheels. Nice bike.
Great review thanks! I also liked your tyre reviews. In fact it cemented my decision to get an RC . I too want to get a Fox Transfer Dropper , buy not integrate it with lock out leavers, but concerned on fitting it ( feeding cable through etc) with the internal shock, and through the stem etc, did you find it easy enough to do? or is it a bike shop thing. Thanks mate keep the vids coming!!
Thanks! It’s easy to do. There is a carbon molded port inside the seat tube and keeps it nice and tight and out of way. Easiest cable routing with the bb access door. I have a new fox transfer available. I got one for my other spark but didn’t end up using. Are you in the US?
Hello:) I also got the spark rc and upgraded to carbon wheels and garbaruk - superb machine. Do you recomend reverb axs or fox transfer dropper? Or maybe something else?
Personally being a weight weenie I still prefer the Epic. How’s your Epic holding up? Do you prefer Spark over Epic? I picked up S-Works Epic few weeks ago and telling myself I’m done with upgrades… size small 20.4lbs with pedals & dropper. Bike rips!!!
Epic was fast for sure but after I blew the brain after 500 miles my mind started wandering. I built a 13k bike and it’s fragile. Fastest bike I owned but the spark is right there! After racing the epic, i wanted more travel for rocky and root terrain, and more control of suspension on the fly. The spark is an animal do it all. The epic can hold you back on technical terrain. It bounced me around. The spark eats it up. To me the spark is the better all rounder and handles better due to wider tires and being more capable. If I were to make a conclusion, the epic is the better short track frame Vs spark xco or mixed terrain course or trail system. The epic frame is on its way To Brazil. I had a brokered deal I could not pass up. I got basically what I paid for it now in a crashing market. I swapped all of the parts over to the spark. My epic was 22.8 lbs all in Vs 23.5 with spark but I don’t even feel the weight difference. I feel the 2.25 vs 2.4 Aspen difference in spinning up to speed but grip and speed in corners faster with spark.
@@addictcyclist I was surprised you didn’t settle on Epic Evo. To me Evo seems to be the perfect bike but never had the experience. I did get a killer deal on the Epic so I don’t wanna sell it. Plus everything is working 100% right now with recent service but I get it with the skeptical brain platform always in the back of my head… so now I’m considering a trade if possible. How would you compare Epic Evo to Spark?
@@slimjim4ever good conversation! I rode my friends s works epic evo. Fun bike! It’s not a spark. The evo with fox with a remote is a possibility BUT the middle “trail” mode is still mushy and feels wide open. The bike is balanced but does not accelerate up hills like the spark. Even with a lock out, it does not compare to sparks middle mode where the BB is raised due to shock sitting higher in travel and restricted to 80mm from 120. The evo does descend like the spark so equal there. I even considered evo as it would Be easy 100% parts swap and cost me nothing to switch. If I chose rock shox then it’s just open and closed suspension with a remote. Still not a complete package and feel like something missing I could have had. Funny I had a 13k bike and felt I was missing something… now I feel complete 🤣
Great review and build! Watched the tire comparison too. Totally agree with the take on the transition knobs and that's why I'm staying Rekon. Upgrading bikes this year and comparing Spark RC Team to 2023 Orbea oiz. Most similar bikes on the market I think. Oiz has lockout and a dropper stock too. Any experience with the Oiz of recent years? Cheers
Thanks!y friend has an oiz. Great bike too. The squid lock is push to unlock so a little getting used to BUT no bike other than Scott has the nude shock. That’s why I chose over oiz. Middle mode vs middle mode, spark wins hand down. Travel reduction and sits higher in its stroke makes it feel more efficient Vs oiz it’s not a little firmer.
Hey, is that the "Syncros XC top cap computer mount" - the one with the negative angle to it? I've got one en-route to me, but I was a little worried that it will tilt my head unit away from me? How is it in practice? Bike is looking pretty sick, by the way :) Cheers
Nice bike and upgrades. As a matter of fact I'm doing something really similar. I have just ordered the Team Black and I am upgrading to XX Transmission. Also, adding the dropper post - here's where I need you help. Where did you get the Twinloc Remote with the 3 levers? I seems to be out of stock everywhere I find it.... Thanks for your advice in advance.

@@addictcyclist Hey again. I backordered the Twinloc with an ETA in December. In the meantime I found a very nice one called YEP. Nino Schuter used it before moving to AXS 🙂 It looks good. The Scott Twinloc was delivered in the same week my bike was ready, so, too late for a change without having to spend another $150 for re-routing all cables. I decided to leave this way and once I learn how to use the dropper I will change it. So far I haven't needed in my local trail. But I do need to clean up the cables - the bike shop did a crappy job on the cable management... Yours look really neat! BTW, agree with you - what a great bike. I'm loving it and it's so much more capable than the Epic. And the lock control gets very natural quickly, I am using it without thinking after 3 weeks.
How did you find the YEP lever in use? I have a Scott Spark RC and have just replaced all the cables (inners and outers). It is not difficult but you have to think it through a bit and I ended up not having to release the swing arm axle by passing the outer gear housing from the bottom bracket hatch through the rubber protector (add some vaseline) and fished it out through the stay with an angled pick. That was the only tool I used. @@thiagoleitenicoluci854

Can be done but easier to just remove caliper. Takes a few seconds more. The caliper bracket is basically part of the drop out. Pretty cool actually.
