You’re gonna love those wheels. I put them on my SL7 earlier in the year and they’re fantastic. I did go with 28 s work turbos on them and that thing flies now.
I agree with you on the chinese carbon. They are so damn light compared to Western wheels, and there's gotta be something stopping Western brands from pushing for super light wheels. And I genuinely believe that it is the performance. Light doesn't mean best performing wheel whatsoever. It is hard to make a wheel stiff as it needs to be when you cut so much material to make it as light as possible. 60mm deep wheelset under 1200g? That is crazy to me. Also, they are not going for cheap either. Panda Podium CRW set was $1700 last time I checked. I just bought a set of CLX 2 for $1750 on sale. So I don't see the appeal for a wheelset that you have no warranty for, no scientific data for its performance or proven performance and reliability in any big events, etc.
Update to my question to you yesterday. Ended up getting a sweet deal on a set of the CLX 2s. Not sure how you beat the specs especially when $1,800 on sale.
I had three sets of wheels (DT SWISS, Roval and Hyper D45) and I can attest to that Roval is more stable than Hyper even though Roval is a deeper wheel set and I use it a lot on flats. climbing I just go ba I couldn’t understand why so many RUclipsrs are recommended hyper and honestly now that I have tried these wheels i will stick to the more reputable brands.. anyway the new wheels set from china made like hyper and farsports are too ridiculously expensive and there no value proposition considering warranty and crash replacement policy.
Never ridden the clx2’s only the clx40’s on tarmacs, which is old news of course. Switched over to Enve long time ago, now I ride 4.5’s on a sw SL7 which are great. Curious to know what your experience will be with the new build/roval combo.
Love the wheels so far even on factor. Not as snappy spinning as my Black Inc initially but can feel the aero take over once up to speed. Wind no longer pushes me around. Used to get pushed hard when a tractor trailer or dump truck would pass. Zero movement. Wind does not phase the wheels as well. I’m always waiting to feel a twitch when a gust hits me

I have the same wheels for a year and half now but tomorrow I am excited to try them with 28mm tires !
This build should be pretty wicked. Keep the videos coming.

You will love them! I scored for 1500 bucks. Too good to pass up for such quality.
@@addictcyclist I think the colour of these wheels look much better on the flicker colour way than the old black incs too

As for climbing I stick back to DT Swiss Wheelset (comes with the canyon) which is a good all rounder.
Agree!
