    Cool, I might look into one of these trucks or a Kronos XTR vs a Sledge or Kraton V5 but i'm a little worried about parts support and car availability. I found a us Corally retailer called RC Hobby Explosion and i made an account there just in case.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +2

      Yeah they're the main parts distributor for the states. It's a little nerve-wracking that there aren't more options but I've been ordering spare parts from them for years now and I've never had an issue. They ship quickly and they seem to keep everything you need in stock.

      It is but I have driven basically everything that's come out in the last several years pretty extensively and there are certain cars that just have a fun factor to them that you don't always get. @DoRC  Год назад +2

      I'll be pushing this pretty hard in the next video. To be honest with you I'm not sure that using Kevin's videos to find the weak points is the best thing. Oftentimes the weak point is whatever Kevin happens to smash first. That doesn't necessarily mean it'll be a weak point for general bashing it just means that it's the thing that took the impact.
      I'm not sure if the punisher shell fits or not. I don't have one handy. I will say this body looks a lot better in person than it does in pictures and the way it's set up makes it extremely durable even without reinforcement.

So no not for me. But if team corally bought something out much more definitely type of car or truck basher yeah I would be interested 🤔.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +3

      It's the same basic layout but most manufacturers keep the same basic layout. They have changed quite a few things. The chassis is new, the ABCD blocks and how they mount is new, the hinge pins are new, the arms are new, the entire center brace system as well as how it mounts to the shock towers and those shock towers themselves are new and a few other bits and pieces.
      A significant chunk of the car is the same as the previous generation but there have been a ton of updates done that have addressed quite a few issues that the previous generation had.
      This is definitely not just a Kronos with a different body.

    • @Moggmodels23
      @Moggmodels23 Год назад +1

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад +1

      @Moggmodels23 Yeah like I said it's based on the same platform but pretty much all manufacturers do that. Arrma has really only had three main platforms basically since they got big inception and have done incremental changes to those the whole time.
      I think coming up with a new platform every year would be counterproductive because each new platform would have issues and those issues would never get resolved and subsequent updates because a new platform would have to come out.

      I guess it depends on what you're looking for. The price isn't the cheapest in the world but this is a very high quality vehicle and puts a smile on my face that I haven't gotten in this hobby in a while. It's just fun.

      Expensive???? For a 6S truggy??? You might wanna look at comparable prices for Traxxas and Arrma 6S trucks.

    • @DoRC
      @DoRC  Год назад

      @The_Hobby_Playground It is a little bit more than Arrma but it arguably has better electronics better aluminum better diffs and to me more fun factor but that last thing is subjective.

      @@DoRC seems that nobody considers any of that. They used better materials than what's on their previous trucks, so of course price is gonna reflect that. They can't just GIVE away a stronger truggy.

      @The_Hobby_Playground And this definitely seems to be a stronger truggy. We'll see How it holds up to the big ramp tomorrow.

    The thumbnail didn't match the video . I didn't see any bashing . Seem more like an informative vid

      It's an 8 minute video with a full minute of bashing in it. It's not hardcore bashing yet as I explained in the video that's coming next video but there's definitely bashing in it. I even punch a big hole in my ramp with it. Maybe consider rewatching :-)

      @@Shellzwick Yes. First of all though there is a question mark after it and second of all in my opinion this very well might be the ultimate basher. It's based on the same platform as the Asuga which I have a lot of experience with and based on my experience so far with the kagama it definitely has that fun factor that's missing in a lot of RC cars out of the box.
      If this thing ends up being as durable as I expect it to be tomorrow it could be.
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

      @@DoRCI swear, RC hobby has more angry haters than almost any other hobby, excepting video gamers.
      People get obsessed with one brand and fall in love with it, completely ignoring their favorite brand's faults (no company does everything perfect) and ignoring the other brands when they do something right.
      If there was only one good RC maker, then there would be no innovation and no competition, and sky-high prices.
      But people get that disease called fanboyism and it makes them irrational and judgemental, and "know-it-all"
      The disease is ultimately fatal and results in the person becoming boring and cranky.

      @@Boogie_the_cat There are definitely plenty of people that are passionate about the hobby which is good but it can also lead to people getting unnecessarily upset.
