Cracking video. I dont have anything as hefty or nice as a kagama or that epic servo!, but it's nice to see full r/c breakdowns like this with all the tips. Thank you!
Really good, clear and informative vid. I have a Team Corally Kagama and Asuga both were rollers. I installed same electronics that comes with Arrma 6s EXB Kraton . The servos I installed are the Arrma Spectrum #S665 25T-20kg. The Mega torque CS-5245 servo by Team Corally is looking to be the servo I will be using on my next roller.. So far I haven't had any issues. Both are great running RC's. I don't bash but I do run them hard......
That's unfortunate. No offense, but if Spektrum servos didn't come in the two Arrmas I bought, I would never own a Spektrum servo. Spektrum make fine receivers and transmitters, and the BLX ESC (I think those are Spektrum brand?) is fine as well, but I don't know why anyone would buy a Spektrum servo. Even the brand new 652 Spektrum servo I got thru warranty was replaced after two battery packs. It was already failing, and nobody wants to lose steering in a Felony. I'm sorry you paid money for one of those servos, because as much as I like Arrma, the Spektrum servos are overpriced AND complete trash. I set my endpoints, and after two packs, the servo started to "stick" in the center, and only would turn under power (at the end of my two runs) A good budget servo is the Power Hobby 190mg. It's incredibly fast at 7.4v BEC. And only $30, but I don't bash with it, so.... ?
Lmfao, that "R/C Dragonskin" Is literally RV underbelly tape! I am an RV Tech lol. Can't believe they took a product and just made it an RC product lol
Maybe though I've used a few different kinds of RV underbelly patch tape before and they were always quite a bit thicker. This stuff is super thin but to be fair I'm certainly not familiar with all kinds of RV underbelly tape.
@@DoRC They have quite a few, but this is the underbelly tape I have installed for 6 years at multiple dealerships. It's just to tape the actual underbelly together after making a slice in it.

Greetings again from the UK. Great video. I really like how you film it in such a way with practical tips so that an RC noob like me can easily see how you take the car apart and organise things. Got my Kagama 2nd hand off of Facebook and it already has an upgraded servo but this video gave me some interesting tips on how else to strengthen 💪 this beast! 👍
I love my Kagama, it is my favorite out of the 1/8 rc's that i have driven. I bought it when i was a complete newbie and knew nothing but I loved how it looked lol. I have minimal money invested in repairs and upgrades so far. I did have to replace the servo, but pretty sure it was my fault...lol and broke a control arm pin, and the wing has been replaced. Very inexpensive fixes. My next corally will either be the Asuga, or Synchro 4. I am huge fan of the electronics from them aswell. cheers
@@DoRC Ya, it looks like a great car and the last car i got was the lasernut and I like the 4s platform. I am no pro...lol I am practical and the syncro 4 will very likely be next, unless a crazy deal comes along for the asuga.
Great build! Thanks for going in depth on the emulsion vs bladder shock designs. I'm an arrma guy that just picked up my first TC car, a shogun so it is good to see alot of the differences and be exposed to some of the upgrades available for the TC cars. I wouldn't have thought to use a top of the line servo from TC rather than a name brand major servo player.
I hope you have a good experience with the Shogun. It is a previous generation vehicle from them so doesn't enjoy some of the improvements that cars like the Kagama have.
How much did you spend on upgrades though? Seems to me that dont matter what we buy we have to upgrade them to bash them better 🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️ was thinking of buying this truck but having second thoughts now seeings I’ll have o spend mega dosh to do a mild bash?🤔🤷♂️
Spent a lot but you definitely don't have to. Out of the box the Kagama is a strong good handling truck. This was more about what can be done rather than what must be done.
Bummer, there is no "super thanks" button on your videos, and no PayPal link in the description. I'm not rich, but i was gonna give you $5 for the excellent advice on this truck. I hope that doesn't sound insulting, it's meant to be a kindness! The Kagama is my next new truck, going with the roller option, in a few days. Doing the m2c upgrades as well. I am blown away that the TC 7075 chassis is only $65 ! ! Thats an insane value. Arrma Kraton chassis is like $112. Anyway, I can't thank you enough, I've liked and subscribed, and just joined the Team Corally official forums so i can find out what size pinion and motor to get. Oh, yeah, definitely getting the arrma 17mm hexes with the serration. I have LocTite, but i just trust serrated hexes way more. Thanks for the excellent advice, i think this truck will be the best choice for me. 👍🏽👍🏽

I'd say it's better than most of the Eco power servos but probably not quite as good as the perfect past servo. The perfect past servo is an AGF RC brushless version and it's definitely a little bit of a step above.
Another banger! I always appreciate your practical tips on how to wrench. That new servo looks dope, did it make the steering considerably more responsive ?
I think the stock servo is weak, it turns good with acceleration but from a standstill it barely moves. Incredible build have you had any throttle input delays?
It's not super weak but it's not the strongest. Pumping it up to 7.4 volts and cranking down the servo saver a little help. I have not had any throttle input delay issues on these.

Yeah the TC Wing mounts aren't the best. I was hoping this 3D printed one would be better though I try to different type of filament and kept the additional brace for the wing in there. I think I just need to go back to my old filament which usually works pretty well
Man I love your videos really encourages me to mess with my cars. That servo looked really nice and well built. I just bought a 9imod servo but have yet to install it. Been using a jx eco boost servo on my rigs so far but always looking to try new things. I’d love to have a reefs servo but yeeha they are expensive. Anyway enough about servos 😎🤣 Cheers for another great video ( tutorial)🤘🤘🤘
Servo. The in-depth builds are spot on brother great work. Have most of the parts you just installed except that mean servo would be nice take care man!
I don't think these arms really need to be improved upon. They are some of the strongest arms out there. I think this is the second arm of any modern TC car I've broken.
Agree 👍 I think it’s best RTR. Electronics I’ve used , I pair the motors with max 6 but stock esc seems more powerful than the max 8 , it’s atleast the same exact” I did fry one but I kept infraction with speed run gearing thinking keroing it cool was enough . Nice video as much as I like kagama I’m going get that xl buggy
The servo in my kraton 6s went only after a few runs I even set the end points and it's the same stock one in my typhon, you would think in a bigger heavier truck they would give something better 😢
Unfortunately most RTR RC cars really don't have the best servos. They're okay but they do tend to break pretty quickly no matter what brand they're from
It sucks to have to admit, but I buy a new servo for all my vehicles as the first aftermarket purchase. The sting of the cost IS actually lessened by how awesome upgraded steering feels. Honestly, I'm a stingy cheap bastard, and I don't go for any servo over $60 (blasphemy to some, I know) but the improvement in handling is always there with any decent servo compared to stock. So when I budget for a new vehicle, I make sure to add $40-60 onto the cost, because stock servos are hot trash fires. I hear people whine about plastic gears in the Traxxas servos, and people whine about Arrma servos burning out, so you can't win OTB. I ❤ Arrma, but my experience with their servos is early failure. Never owned a Traxxas, never will. Just put a new servo in my Felony, and even though the wheels are small so it doesn't need huge amounts of torque, and I'm just hooning around, the new Power Hobby 35kg servo feels so much better. Plus, at 60mph I don't wanna put $650 of trust in an 18kg Spektrum servo.
Didn’t realize there is so many aftermarket parts for the Kagama. Another appealing draw to it. Might have to get the roller and put that servo in it ;)

Been using a jx eco boost servo on my rigs so far but always looking to try new things. I’d love to have a reefs servo but yeeha they are expensive. Anyway enough about servos 😎🤣
Cheers for another great video ( tutorial)🤘🤘🤘
Reefs servos definitely are good quality.
What was the total cost for the upgrades. An servo
I think around $400 total.
Servo... nice build dude I did most of what you did to the asuga
Nice. It really is cool how many upgrades there are available for these cars now.
Your killing it bro , great content ❤
Thanks man Glad you enjoy!
Servo is sick but don’t enter me lol someone else needs it
Another great video! Nice servo too ;p
Thanks! I enjoyed making it :-)
Yea, I'd love to win that servo! Love your content bro.
Thanks Glad you enjoy!
Your videos are top notch 👌
Thanks my audience is top notch!
I tried out ADU parts for my Kraton, They seem to be every bit as good as M2C and 1/2 the price
Yeah there's definitely something to be said for supporting a US company but these parts do seem pretty good
Wow. Sick build. ‼️👌
Thanks Glad you enjoyed!
But does the servo servo?
Servo far it has been.
Buen vídeo de upgradear el coche, me encanta este coche, cuando pueda lo añadiré a la colección y le pondré un buen servo 👍
Thanks for watching Glad you enjoyed!
Love your videos😀 Looks good that servo ❤
Thanks Glad you enjoy :-)
Glad you enjoyed!
Servo. The in-depth builds are spot on brother great work. Have most of the parts you just installed except that mean servo would be nice take care man!
I don't think you'll be disappointed it's a sweet build!
Man i always learn so much when watching your videos! And this time i get to watch my literal dream car being built 😍
Do you think the arms can be improved? It seems like 'a bit more flexible' would be fine?
Glad you're enjoying. This is a cool car
I don't think these arms really need to be improved upon. They are some of the strongest arms out there. I think this is the second arm of any modern TC car I've broken.
Nice build better servo!!!
Thanks!
Sweet servo. I actually like team corraly trucks especially xlr buggy. I think they have the best RTR POWER SYSTEM. Fast
Yeah pretty much all of their latest generation stuff is a win
Agree 👍 I think it’s best RTR. Electronics I’ve used , I pair the motors with max 6 but stock esc seems more powerful than the max 8 , it’s atleast the same exact” I did fry one but I kept infraction with speed run gearing thinking keroing it cool was enough . Nice video as much as I like kagama I’m going get that xl buggy
I’m sure thier servos are great too , they took Arrmas blueprint once arrma had to go cooperate
Today i learnt there are brushless servo available, good video watched it all
Thanks for watching the whole thing! Plenty more to come :-)
Didn’t realize there is so many aftermarket parts for the Kagama. Another appealing draw to it. Might have to get the roller and put that servo in it ;)
Yeah aftermarket support has really been moving along the last year or so.
Servo looks great 👍
So far I'm quite happy with it. We'll see how it handles long-term though
