I can agree with this. Absolutely love my EXB, and had to add a M2C beefcake kit and a HW combo to the Sledge to even compete. The Kagama is my next rig.
The Sledge definitely deserved to finish dead last among the 3. Traxxas greatly exaggerated the design and durability per their marketing pitch. Definitely needs significant upgrades to make worthy besides the beefy A arms and durable hubs. TC needs better (in shop) parts availability here in the States. ARRMA killed it in the overall value department. 😎💪👊👊

I dont mind waiting for parts in the mail, I'm a busy dood, so I spend more time working on them than bashing them, but I'm fine with that. I enjoy working on my tiny trucks and tanks. Great video, thanks for that!
This video is right up my ally...I honestly love my Arrmas and TC equally and wont ever spend my hard earned money on a company like traxxas. I think if you grab either an arrma or TC you can't go wrong.... Better yet get both!! 👌🏼

Something like value should be double weighted when compared to other categories, for example, parts support. Saving several hundreds of dollars is way more important than how quickly Traxxas pick up the phone or are prepared to sell you an upgrade part (that should be on the truck in the first place , given it's price).
I believe parts availability is one of the most important things when looking at a new RC! The difference between running your truck now or a week from now becomes of shipping is a big factor in decision making! I suppose durability on those parts would be next followed by support! Electronics and design are a great way to measure the vehicle if you’re a first time buyer or a seasoned veteran who knows what to look for. Performance I believe is based on how a person drives and uses the trucks. Your way of bashing may be different than mine, so I would say it’s the hardest to judge! You did an excellent job rating these trucks vs just beating the crap out of them until they break! That may be how others do it but to me that creates an unfair bias towards some brands! Great video and I look forward to more content!

I totally agree with your ratings. While I don't own any of these 3, I do have examples of each with a K6EXB and 21 Kronos XTR rollers. My brother owns a Sledge so, pretty familiar with each. I like the Kagama myself. It has the most potent motor/esc combo, and while the radio and servo do suck, the DX3 is crap too. I mean sure, it's a decent performing radio but having only one model compatibility kills it. I've sampled a DX5 rugged.. no thanks, setting up a radio shouldn't require a college degree.. If the TQi had a heads up display, it would win for me. Then, there's the lame ass TRX 6.0v BEC limits that puts the nail in the TQi coffin. C'mon TRX..pay attention! 6.0v BEC is dead. LOL I find that after upgrading my Kronos drive cups to the spring steel (now standard), the TC drivetrain is the best of the field for me. Arrma is good, but not on par with TC. TRX is lost in powdered metal land..LOL. The Sledge has plenty of capability, but they leave too much upgrading on the consumer to qualify as a good buy IMO.
Sooooo, which one is the most fun to drive? That’s what I care about most. If you’re gonna head to the this site and take just one for a fun rip. What do you take?
Would be good to also see this after the cars have been maxed out with electronics, 7075 where appropriate, etc etc. Max upgraded. That’s where a lot of us aim to upgrade to anyway, so would be good to know which basher handles and jumps the best in the long run, or turns best with those 55kg servos, or goes fastest with those 1650kv motors. Etc etc. My Sledge is at the spot where I’ve maxed the electronics, but not quite everything I need to get 8S going. It’s that sort of info that is a good to know - what are these others cars like when stress tested under 8S. Etc etc.
A tie is probably fair, if Corally sort a better servo, battery straps better spares support then they become class leading 🙀. So for me the Kagama roller is the way to go, that green body pops in person as well
Great review man. I think we assume the brands are looking to do the same thing with these cars, but I don't think they are. Traxxas is much more of a 'ease of use,' premium mass market brand. It's available everywhere and appeals to both the brand loyal and newbies. They can sell you completely compatible systems, from 3S to 8S. The Sledge allows these folks to get into the 6s alloy chassis market. It's a user friendly, quality truck with unbeatable parts support. For moderate driving, it's a good truck and it will blow you away if you're upgrading from a Slash. Arrma is more enthusiast targeted, moddable, higher performance, but less user friendly. Most of their market is experienced and comes straight in at 6S. Corally is like Arrma, but more so and cheaper - they have to be because they have much less brand recognition and far weaker parts support. As enthusiasts we kinda forget how important stuff like body removal, plug and play battery charging, instant parts availability and completely waterproof stock electrics are. And the odd thing is, I break more on my (last Gen) Kraton than I do on my (stock) Sledge. Go figure. But for sure, the new EXB looks the sweet spot (but I still hate the high battery mount/velcro and body pins!). And pretty much all stock servos are junk.

You should set up a little lap competition between the three that would be cool time them. I think that would be cool then we can kind of decide for ourselves.
What is the gearing combo in the Kagama vs the Kraton? What else makes it so much faster as you said even on 4S? They both have the similar 2050kv motor.
It’s a couple things , people have said the esc has been tuned with the motor specifically. Hard to say if the Esc has more juice than a factory HW esc , it’s identical except for the color . The obvious reasons are it’s only 2050kv using the proper 6.5 mm plugs,”” it’s only layout using only exactly the amount of wiring needed , shorter wires and better connections. Than paired with cap pack being more effective with shorter wires allows for extra punch 🤛, I bragged to myself my rtr infraction can smoke guys using big can 8s or atleast equal while being far lighter , I was able to have a 90 mph basher with stock electronics of course with fans and cooler weather . I chewed up 27t pinion gear ⚙️ threw a 20 or 19t and esc went up in smoke while I just started the rc , I imagine even no smoked under no load I had pushed it too far in the past , now I still have the kuran motor but in a typhon with a max 6 , 20 /46 gearing its a beast on 4s and insane on 6s , tire ripping even tuned if attempting speed runs with buggy wheels .
Great video with the exception of audio quality. You are very hard to hear over the RC cars. Also, I think you left a few categories out one would be maintenance. The second would be price of repair parts. Those two categories are very important. I also think you failed to mention that Traxxas has a limited lifetime warranty on their electronics That even if it’s your fault, the electronics went out you still won’t pay full price for a replacement Just my two. Cents.
Personally i like the kraton best. Never herd of the kagama. Traxxas TO ME is junk. BUT they do make hood cars/trucks, but theres only 1 traxxas id own, and thats there 6x6 crawler. I the traxxas parts avalibility i think dealers are required to carry a full line of parts for there products. Thats why no matter the size of the shop they have why they have the parts.
Yup, the trx4 and the trx6 are insanely fun to customize. My traxxas 6x6 benz g63 is all custom with a rear cantilever suspension designed for rock crawling. -with a 6x6!❤
You gave the performance category to the kagama based on what you gave it credit for in other categories. Performance needs to be based on handling, turning radius, controllability, grip of tires, those things. That being said I think performance prly would have went a different way
There is some overlap, but the Kagama is faster (has brutal acceleration), better tires and traction, and similar handling to the Kraton. The Kraton has faster steering, which is why I mentioned the servo.
Kagama has the highest groundclearence, right? Website says it has 9cm while Sledge and Kraton have 5cm. Is this true? (Maybe they just measure it differently. ) Would this mean it is better on high grass and off-road, possibly handling worse?
fantastic video! I'm glad looks isn't a category because the Kagama would lose😅, Team Corally aesthetically in general aren't the best, I ended up putting a Proline Brute Bash Outcast body on mine, looks absolutely mean!
Great video! I own two 1/16 scale RC cars and one of them is a crawler, which I enjoy using. Now I really would like to get my first 1/10 or 1/8 scale RC and I am torn between Traxxas Maxx, Corally Kagama, Kraton 4-6S and the Traxxas 1/10 crawler. After seeing such cool bashing and jumping videos, I guess I will not get a crawler, but it would be really cool if I could also crawl a bit with the RC I end up buying. Would you be so nice to comment which of the 3 cars you presented you think is the best at crawling? Does the Kagama have a better ground clearance? Many thanks in advance. 😊
For the price of all these trucks they should all come with front and rear LED lights . It's 2024 LOL. My son's Amazon special came with front and rear LED lights😂😂
Fair play, for the most part I agree. But one thing to consider and a possible tie breaker is the parts compatibility with other 6s Arrma’s. If you have an outcast you can share spare arms or rob from one rig to get the other running. Or, you can make hybrid mashup builds. I had the same dogbone/ drive cup issue, right out the gate actually. I went with the nitro tubing on the shock shaft trick. Fixed it right up.
@@RazorRC On paper yes. In the real world thought far more people are going to have at least 1 other Arrma, often multiple where on the other side not that many people have a 6s TC car, and all the ones prior aren’t anything to write home about. The Kronos XTR wasn’t too bad. I would argue though that the Kraton takes the electronics in my opinion. You can gear up for more speed, and the excess that the Kronos has over it isn’t really used very often anyways. But, things like say the radio and servo are super critical, and used constantly. Waiting for TC to do a XLWB rig, that’s my platform of choice.
Kagama a 4s funciona genial. Corre muchísimo, pesa menos que a 6s, y es más estable, y manejable. A 6s hay que ser muy experto para sacarle el máximo rendimiento, y al más mínimo fallo romperás alerón primeramente, y luego algún trapecio, o amortiguador.
Got my Kraton for $493 before tax back in December from Tower. Killer deal on something that wasn't even out yet and was the easy push toward what to buy. I'd like to see a shell much thicker than what it comes with, maybe a wheelie bar, definitely some roof skids for once, and the front camber/dog bone permanently fixed for the 6s platform. it's definitely a solid kit though.
I wish that Tekno would offer their ET48 in an RTR with a basher type body because it is one tough truggy with minor hop-ups. Same with their Tekno MT410. That thing is a 1/10 skate park beast. Other than that I do prefer the Arrama Kraton. It's a tried and trued platform that keeps evolving into a better and better machine due to them taking feedback from customers. Traxxas had years and years to R&D a basher 1/8 scale Truggy by watching Arrama and others on the market but they decided to slap something pretty bad together just to make a buck and have their Team of 50 of the same content creators give 100% bias reviews as they always do by calling the Arrma a junk compared to it and people fall for it then get disappointed every time. The XRT is another disaster. I Bought another XMAXX instead when it came out. The XMAX is a beast! I hope they come out with something new that is better one day. I doubt it as they just keep throwing hop-ups at it and call it an extreme version. I want to see Traxxas take the Sledge and fix all the issues or make a whole new platform 1/8 scale because Arrma is kicking their butts right now. As a Traxxas fanboy, it is very disappointing. Team Corally, to be honest, I have never given one a chance. So I can't say anything good or bad about it. I might have to try one as they look cool.
Kraton EXB should have came last in durability and design. I've been watching a lot of reviews on the Kraton and they all result in the same thing - broken driveshafts because of the metal diff houses. And like all Arrma 6S trucks it has pillowballs so they pop out all the time. The arms are the weakest and they break easily. The driveshafts keep popping out too. Other reviewers keep breaking their Kraton EXBs during normal bashing landing clean, so there's no way it should be considered more durable or better designed than the Sledge.
Lol sledge definitely more durable then kraton not sure what was wrong with yours lol I have both also watch Kevin Talbots videos lol has to be more honest reviews doesn’t seem to be as biased against brands I like em all just think this video is mostly wrong
I have 2 issues with TC: first they are ugly. Second: if you add something to an old rig as an upgrade you continuously run into compatibility issues. It is much easier with Arrma.
@@philthyco1 what am I wrong about ? By blueprint I meant the original lineup basher buggy and so on . There’s far more aftermarket parts available for Arrmas than TC . I like TC I have nothing against them . Where you been ?
If Traxxas bashing vehicles are no longer very durable they kind of have nothing to offer over the opposition. Sorry they do win on spares availability and price of spares over the others
Good video but motor/esc is definitely not the most important. Driving a fast car with a slow unresponsive or weak servo is the shittiest experience ever. Rather sacrifice a bit of power and have sharper handling and better driving, more responsive car. Never have I ever craved more power in my Kraton. On max punch it will backflip off the line, any more power is completely useless.
Includes paid promotion…. Basically means that this is not a real unbiased comparison. That’s too bad. A lot of bashers would’ve appreciated a real uncompromised comparison. Too bad. Thankfully I already own all three 😉
@@RazorRCit’s subjective man. There’s no “wrong” answer. But, I (like most people) always have a harder time trusting any ranking of products, done by someone sponsored by one of the products being ranked. It can’t be unbiased if they’re payin’ ya man. 🤷🏼♂️ That usally ends up being more like an in depth advertisement; but I like your videos a lot either way & I get you have to pay for things. It’s just how I feel. As far as how I’d rank them, I’d put the arrma in a clear first place position. Just has more in it, in my opinion; and the parts availability is a big issue for a lot of people with TC. Still, all three are awesome and I agree with the majority of what you said….

Great video,we need Rc live streaming for sure, people that talk whitbus the bashers, not just the crawling community 👍, Blessings
We need to start saying monster truggy or something to differentiate from actual monster trucks. The market gets blurry.
What a beautiful track that my dream to have my dad built me a track with his backhoe
Hey Razor. Do you think the Sledge are any good out of the Box? Are the Chassis still weak ? Greetings
watch the vid dude...jeez louise
Sledge the BEST
Great comparison video bro
Kagama has the highest groundclearence, right? Website says it has 9cm while Sledge and Kraton have 5cm. Is this true? (Maybe they just measure it differently. )
Would this mean it is better on high grass and off-road, possibly handling worse?
@@juanramongonzalez546 Buena idea! Gracias!
fantastic video! I'm glad looks isn't a category because the Kagama would lose😅, Team Corally aesthetically in general aren't the best, I ended up putting a Proline Brute Bash Outcast body on mine, looks absolutely mean!
Kagama looks dope
Eso es subjetivo.
La dureza y fiabilidad son objetivas.
Dude I swear that track looks familiar.. I thought it was closed for renovations? Great video btw!
Can you do similar video with some 4S options?
I've done one, but I probably need to do a 2024 update with the Kraton V2.5, Maxx V2, and Sketer (maybe Tekno MT410 2.0 too).
Kagama supremecy 4 ever 🎶 🎵
For the price of all these trucks they should all come with front and rear LED lights . It's 2024 LOL. My son's Amazon special came with front and rear LED lights😂😂
Just order the Kagama
Love the videos, would like to see a Mugen or tekno kit with monster truck tires compared to these bashers, thanks
The money you would save getting the kagama you can easily buy a better servo
good video👊🏾
Fair play, for the most part I agree. But one thing to consider and a possible tie breaker is the parts compatibility with other 6s Arrma’s. If you have an outcast you can share spare arms or rob from one rig to get the other running. Or, you can make hybrid mashup builds.
I had the same dogbone/ drive cup issue, right out the gate actually. I went with the nitro tubing on the shock shaft trick. Fixed it right up.
True, but the Kagama has interchangeable parts with all the other TC too.
Waiting for TC to do a XLWB rig, that’s my platform of choice.
sledge really not worth it's msrp .. and also really not good overall car
It's a bit of a shame the Corally can't run 5s as 6s is just overkill for it, at least they do the roller
Kagama a 4s funciona genial.
Corre muchísimo, pesa menos que a 6s, y es más estable, y manejable.
A 6s hay que ser muy experto para sacarle el máximo rendimiento, y al más mínimo fallo romperás alerón primeramente, y luego algún trapecio, o amortiguador.
Got to get a team corally
I have a few, and the Kagama is the best so far.
En el Kagama han puesto todas las mejoras de serie.
Solo le falta el chasis 7075 pero un chasis no se debe romper todos los días.
$200 off??? That's a crazy good deal!
Kraton is under geared. Needs a 14T or 15T
Yeah I think it can take it, especially in the winter. But I’m comparing everything stock.
Yeah those Arrma power systems can give you a lot more, 14T is a pretty good spot.
Lacking an HPI Flux XL there...
Different animal of car, but I have comparisons of the Savage X vs the other true 6S MT’s.
Sledge kraton
I’m pretty much all arrma these days. Traxxas is overpriced for what you get imo
Love the Corally but in a years time when it’s not the latest and greatest and the breakers stop breaking them you just won’t get the parts 😟
Kraton for win
I have 2 issues with TC: first they are ugly. Second: if you add something to an old rig as an upgrade you continuously run into compatibility issues. It is much easier with Arrma.
There’s a lot more upgrades available for Arrmas far as compatibility among the brand Tc took Arrmas blueprint
Both of you are wrong
@@philthyco1 what am I wrong about ? By blueprint I meant the original lineup basher buggy and so on . There’s far more aftermarket parts available for Arrmas than TC . I like TC I have nothing against them . Where you been ?
@@philthyco1 I didn’t mean compatibility because Tc cars also interchangeable
Compatable wrong word , I want get the usuga and put truggy hubs on it , like I’ve done with the typhons
Mesh is tight on the kraton
Good ear, yeah a little bit.
Too bad. Thankfully I already own all three 😉
So you've got all 3 -- which category did I get the ranking wrong?
@@RazorRCit’s subjective man. There’s no “wrong” answer. But, I (like most people) always have a harder time trusting any ranking of products, done by someone sponsored by one of the products being ranked. It can’t be unbiased if they’re payin’ ya man. 🤷🏼♂️
That usally ends up being more like an in depth advertisement; but I like your videos a lot either way & I get you have to pay for things. It’s just how I feel.
As far as how I’d rank them, I’d put the arrma in a clear first place position. Just has more in it, in my opinion; and the parts availability is a big issue for a lot of people with TC. Still, all three are awesome and I agree with the majority of what you said….
🤣🤣🤣🤣.
sledge weakness's can be fixed, kratons can't...
What do you mean?
Yea Webby, what's up bro😂
I've seen numerous arms break and ball joints pop out that's not something that can be fixed well
Only Traxxas. Sledge is the Best.
