Yeah that hit would have bent the stock shock towers in the Arrmas too. I think that it did well overall. I would buy one if I had the money. Thanks for the video 👍
I know first hand how slippery that type of surface is and that was amazing on it. It really looked great to drive and you showed this beautifully in this video. Ahhh, those satisfying clean jumps....nice!
It took some good hits. I think we expect a lot under the durable tag, but don’t accept how many times we have bad landings. Even really hard ones, it’s some how the RC’s fault. Great Video per usual 👍🏾
Pretty quick fix on the shock tower. I love your reviews btw! Very honest and to the point, critical when needed but I think you give realistic reviews. Not death/destruction to what is actually a good bit of money like Kevin does. He wrecks rcs deliberately which are sometimes a chunk of someone's paycheck and then says they're crap because he can't keep from hitting things.
Yup just cant understand the lack of respect that Kev has , some kid out there would love what he buys and wrecks the first time out, he is not good for R/C cars and the hobby where most kids will quit after their first breakage and shelve their cars because they believed they could bash them hard and they would survive, that reduces a lot of support for the hobby because it creates a false image of the durability of the models.
Really like your test videos! The best part is your aversion to skate park intentional destruction. Any idiot can tear up a car. Really enjoyed the real use in this and your other videos. Thank you!
Thanks Leo… I try to give most stuff a real world test. I do sometimes get carried away… but most of the time I like to push the limits to a ‘normal’ level.
Love the look of this buggy, just the noise it makes sounds like it’s put together very well, bit concerned about air control and shock towers but yeah it looks alright, great vid mate
only 6:15 into the running of this and i am sold ,very impressed by the handling in the air as well as on that slippery surface - i think ill get me one thanks for sharing at what looks like a nice biggen
Unsurpassed durability eh , I am sure Mr Talbot will have his say on that lol . Certainly looks a sweet piece. Looked about right on 4s . Anti tear rings ?? oooo errr missus 😳🤣
Mr Talbot breaks everything… so you need to watch all his videos to see what breaks easiest haha…. but I’m sure if he gets one it’ll last at least the intro
@@TomleyRC it’s good to see you two getting along! Kev’s a goofball, with a penchant for total destruction, but he does bring the kid fun out in the hobby! We’re all nothing more than a bunch of kids playing with our toy cars!
I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Still not had it out due to our weather. But I've done a few mods to mine already. Changed the stock 17mm wheel nuts as they are garbage. Also made some rear guards to prevent grass and other debris building up on the rear drive train.
I didn't see any problems with durability, despite some pretty rough landings. Actually those jumps would have bent the V4 K6S stock chassis and it would have bent the shock towers too. I've done it, that's how I know 🤷
It sounds real smooth and the shocks seems like they do a really good job on the jumps. It just looks like it's gliding along doing what you're telling it to do and it's doing it.😮😮😊
Well, I don't know about their claims... But it definitely seems fun as heck, Phil! 😃 Fantastic bashing and review! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Love my Radix 6 and sold on this I will be getting one. Perfect for this kind of driving but wouldn't want to take my beloved investment to a skate park! Sadly all buggies will break at a stake park and I love all mine to much to inflict so much damage!
I did the same with my Corally Python, dabbed the brakes mid air, bent the shock tower and snapped a stand off, everything else was good though. The point about not being able to get parts in the UK, I’ve never had an issue, model sport stock them
Tomley😎🤙🏿🤙🏿 THIS is what people have been waiting for all else shows show blurbs and we want/Need an actual Run/beatDown on this Rig💯🩸 Nice1 Tomley my breddah😎😎 Did you peep the arms lower arms have spaces for say like the carbon fibre inserts akin to the team associated rc8’s later models 😏👌🏿and other race buggy’s corally are dope on the quite🥇
@@TomleyRC yes Tomley if you look under the arms you’ll see there like recessed areas so you could if you like put in weighted plates in😏 I’ve really only seen these inserts on high quality rigs and you’ll also see like the three holes to Attach these plates I mean they’re only grams in weight team associated carbon stiffeners Part no.: AS81418 check that out to see what’s what with this buggy I think it’s really something to be able to use their own version of such stiffeners 🤯
I know its a bit of a phaff but if you want to repair or strengthen a rear wing, or you cant get hold of an identical replacement you can use Z-Poxy finishing resin with the finest fibreglass matting available at model shops, it gives you a very long time to work and takes about 2 hours to start to set drying clear leave overnight to harden fully, the flimsey wltoys rear wings benefit from two or three layers of resin and glass which makes them a lot stronger and virtually shatterproof, it is easily sandable and paintable if thats what you want, use gloves to keep the resin off your hands.
the Mojave EXB roller has been discontinued. if you really want one find one now or get a nice used one before everyone else keeps them locked away lol
Great video Phil! Always honest with your reviews and it’s appreciated. Bent both my front and back shock towers so bought 7075 Aluminum ones. Great fun buggy and it will take 1/8th Truggy Wheels and Tires if you want to race on a track. Could you make a video of that please? Have a race with you and Kevin 😁🙏
8th scale buggy is the same wheelbase as 10th scale sct..Everyone says they are the best..why even mention that? almost sound like a hater lol..The arms are built to accept carbon inserts..Yup buggies alway get shock tower damage as they have no body to protect them..Might need 7075 if bashing hard or perhaps a shock tower guard? 🤔
Hope it's as durable. Some earlyer cars definitely weren't. Friend off mine has the Shogun. Broke down within 7mins on a beach run. After that the 3runs after that it broke down every single time too. Diff, electronics, popping out stuff, bending stuff... After fixing and upgrading its ok now..
I watched a guy a few days ago break a front link and bend a axle on a very small jump. I’m sure the Radix is tougher and the Ho Bao, Serpent and Tekno 8 scale.
Corally and spare parts, it is also problem in the middle of the Europe. My friend had Kronos 6S and must order parts via E-bay, which is not comfort and pay more additional money for shipping. None RC shops has it, just few parts.
not long had my Muraco and bent the steering rack arm on the 3rd go, wasn't even really bashing it. be good to see if they have changed that on this and like you said the plastic on the wing as the mount and washer broke within the same time frame :/ Still enjoy it massively and only seen these so far
I have a hpi vorza and it is a tank, I'd be very surprised if this is tougher. I haven't broken my vorza in years, although I do have alloy hub carriers and steering knuckles
Sweet looking and preforms good definitely looks like it's worth the money but can't wait to see if it hits 100kph looks fast but don't think it will have the gearing out of the box also should do a really hard durability test it took alot already but want to see it's weak points
Great review! Interesting about the bent shock tower, I had a Radix which did exactly the same on it’s first big hit. It handled amazingly and was so balanced but I just couldn’t get over how easily it got damaged. I sold it in the end and went back to my 1:12 scales. Less weight = less damage in my experience!
did anyone here know the D-power Beast TX? Its a really small company, and i think you can only get their stuff in Germany, but this Buggy is the worlds most durable rc car ever existed! Its one massive block of plastic screwed onto a massive block of metal, and its as durable as... a massive block of plastic on a massive block of metal... and sadly it handles like this as well. But i crashed this thing with 50km/h into a lamp post, and it survived! This was definitely a harder hit than this crash in this video! I crashed it multiple times like this, and the first thing broke after a year, a screw came out of the front arm and i was unable to screw it in. But it was definitely more durable than this! But i whould prefer the corally, because of the handling.
Looks good Phil 👍🏻 I agree about their wings. They are super brittle and shiny black plastic and seems to lack much nylon content in the wings. Kinda odd the 7075 shock tower bent like that on that hit
It looks super sweet. But why they don’t put some sort of protection on the front shock towers on all truggies is just asking for breakage. That’s why I don’t like them.
Looks like the same scale as the vs 2, which I suppose would be it's counterpart. Corrali do make some very nice rc's though, nice one. I dount there will be a nitro version, but meh that's still a cool af buggy 👍👍👍
