Well, that would be interesting to turn a game like this into something like Avalon Hill's Squad Leader, where you make an initial investment of basic rules, tokens, maps and a set of scenarios, and then buy scenario packs with specialized tokens and rules that use the same basic map.
A short campaign is nice. As long as there's variability, in case I want to play it again/more. I think this system could for tons of comic or video game IP's like Judge Dredd, BioShock, Tomb Raider, etc (even tho they all have board games already lol). Something like X-Men could add to the variability by doing campaigns w/ different X-Men w/ way different play styles.
There are small differences that you can make through out the campaign, such as deciding which dice to upgrade. Each chapter, while following the same story, will have you randomly distribute clues, so the exact objective won't be in the same locations. There is a two player mode depending which version you get. But for the main campaign, Id say there's a little variety here and there, but don't expect to be either be able to build a completely different character, like a Wizard vs a Rogue, or a branching storyline. Its designed to have you pay as the Batman in The Dark Knight Returns, and not rewrite the story.
I couldn't find it again on BGG, but if you head to the store page for the game on the Cryptozoic website, there will be links to pdfs of both the normal and multiplayer rulebooks at the bottom of the page. Hope this helps!

Officially it is for a minimum of 3 players. However I would not be surprised if someone online came up with a two player ruleset.
nice to see it is fun! I am glad the campaign isn't so long and it is one of my favorite books!
Slice and Dice! We love this one!
How replayable is this game? Is there a lot of variety? Thanks!

This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen. Would it have really hurt you to make the box 1-2cm deeper to allow everything to sit in it?
What is batman returning from?
Mid life crisis
Retirement.
