Awesome song. Saw him at Murrayfield in 2022 with the Eagles. Highlight of the night 'man I've gotta say being in your 20s in the 70s was so much better than being in your 70s in the 20s'.
I don’t care how bad of a day I might be having anytime I hear this song and watch Joe perform they both always have a way of picking me up and making me smile- Rock On Joe.
@@keith455-73 What makes it beyond cool, is that some of these artists that jam with Daryl (Tommy Shaw, Kenny Loggins) way over-think it, and try to direct all the parts beforehand to preserve 'their' song...whereas Joe Walsh just does Joe Walsh, and let's everyone else do whatever they do. That confidence is very noticeable, and everyone involved looks better as a result.
The Eagles were Fantastic. Then Joe Walsh joined the Band. Their Sound changed and became more Rock oriented. Co-incidentally The Eagles became even MORE Successful and sold more records, made even more money. Thank You Joe, for YOUR MUSIC and the influence on the Eagles. I loved the Old Eagles, but The Joe Walsh era Eagles are/were Magnificent!!
The problem is the people who judge the greatest guitarist of all time don't know shit the list is never ending joe is right up there with everyone of them
How many people know who slash is just by seeing his face? How many people in the US would be able to ID Joe Walsh by seeing his face? I assume it would be a much smaller number. That's why he's underrated. Much better guitarist than Slash
I love this song.....we heard it playing when we put my husband's ashes in the ocean...... Kevin loved Joe's music especially this song.... It was so awesome and spiritual!!! Thank You Joe!!!❤😊❤😊❤😊
Joe Walsh is probably the most underrated guitarist of all time. He's literally responsible for a vast amount of electric rock guitar's total vocabulary. I can't watch TV for 5 minutes without hearing an echo of this man. LEGEND; simply a national treasure.
Underrated by who? He is singing his own song. 'I hv a mansion forget the price' He has a limo with a chauffeur. Man, no Underrated musician can be this rich. Rolling Stone magazine doesn't rate him... Its us,THE FANS
Grew up with a musician father. Sang in his bands since i was 10. I know the Eagles. Im 40 now and remember listening to them while dancing to my moms record player at 4 yrs old to their albums. When i hear them I'm brought back to late night weekends at old country western clubs i sang in with my father. Love the Eagles.
I absolutely love Joe Walsh!! He has the biggest heart and has helped countless US Veterans!! He is selfless and constantly doing for others!! America would be very fortunate to have more as giving, thoughtful and kind as Joe Walsh!! 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
What I like best is that Solo you can hear his influence in The Eagles very clearly and he has had that sound since he was a kid. Only the best of the best have their own unique sound. When you hear an opening note instantly you know who it is. Its a rare and wonderful thing that only true Fans understand.
When I was in college I saw a picture of the eagles . Joe wore a red bandanna. I thought this was tops. . I HAD A CRUSH ON. HIM . HE HAD AN UNCANNY WAY . Joe has always been One hell of A guitar player. One of the greatest. Top notch!!! Been listening to him all my life. I’m 51 now. He plays with heart and soul. His side job should’ve been a comedian. He’s so freaking funny it’s incredible. Watch his interviews. You’re guaranteed to laugh.

@@QuincyR525 I envy you. Seeing the Eagles 'live'! Lately, ''Don Henley's'' Eagles concerts have been found to have been 'lip synced', or 'mimed' to an earlier recording / 'back track'!! Not only that, I just think of the price of the tickets, thinking we are paying for a 'live' performance.
Never plays it the same way twice. Always changes something in the guitar structure and the lyrics. And still makes it sound like it belongs in there. He's a damn fine musician.
That’s the case with most well practiced creative musicians. I saw Jerry Garcia perform any number of songs dozens of times without ever playing them exactly the same. I especially loved it when he’d completely change the key multiple times within a song. Sometimes he’d play a melody with a lot of double stops and the next time with a lot of whole tone bends. Sometimes he’d play a song and purposely not play any quarter notes. It kept things fresh for him and for us.
His talent got overshadowed as a member of the Eagles. We are so lucky that he went solo to display his talent. Unique vocalist and an even better guitarist.
I’m a Brit. I have always enjoyed the humour in the lyrics as well as the outstanding soundtrack that has stood the test of time as all classic songs do.
Cory Clark You're right. I'm mid 40s, and I am aware of not trying to sound like a "fuddy duddy" type, but this is just one of many examples of why Classic Rock is called CLASSIC. It never goes out of style. Nothing like it.
Cory Clark A lot of us aging boomer dads REALLY wanted our kids to hear and know the good music of my generation. My son is 29, in graduate school, and has a great future. He also plays drums in a new wave/pop band in Nashville -- think Nicky Lowe -- and his favorite artists are Gram Parsons and especially Lou Reed. Props to you for teaching your child to love all kinds of music :)
