The music came to him and through him, and brought joy, beauty, and sometimes even humor to all who listened. It's almost unthinkable what the world would have been without this bright star. I know he added immensely to mine. Thank you for all the wonderful music. RIP, Chick.
I "discovered" Chick in the 70's and one of the greatest regrets in my life is that I never had the opportunity to witness a live Corea session! But I am quite contented and amazed by his numerous recordings. Long live the legacy!

I was lucky to catch Chick Corea's concert i the Tokyo Amphitheatre July 1986. Was attending a 6-week course in Japan, Look East Policy in Malaysia. Memories Chick playing a guitar-shaped piano strapped over shoulder, playing his beautiful composition Spain, the volume of speakers rendering such great sound in the amphitheatre.
Devastating... from out of nowhere... totally shocked.. was true definition of class .. and beyond fantastic person and muscian..... set the bar for excellence... very high... R I P
