- Marissa Mowry, the nanny police say molested an 11-year-old boy who got her pregnant, is expecting another child.
Mowry was in court Monday with a noticeable baby bump. Sources tell FOX 13 News the father is her current boyfriend.

Not sure if this is the logic behind it, but I'm pretty sure defendants can argue that an 11 year old girl gets "hurt" physically by rape, but a 11 year old boy would receive no physical injury from rape. This removes the "assault" from sexual assault. It's still molesting and I think she deserves to behind bars for life but that's my theory on why the sentence is more lenient.

Kids can’t consent to relationships with older people because their prefrontal cortex isn’t developed yet and they are unable to make responsible decisions. Im a nanny for an 11 year old & a 12 year old. A lot of the time its because you have to pick them up from school or their bus stop, take them to after school activities like sports, make sure they complete their homework and make them dinner. So they still need a nanny, mainly for transportation if their parents are away at work.

The court always looks at the impact it has on the victim and family. The boy, since the beginning, spoke up very well versed and insistant that he was not emotionally harmed, enjoyed their relationship, knew it was wrong, desired it, etc and the boys family showed alot of mercy, understanding, and forgiveness. That is how a judge rules by their own discretion.

Just get a nanny thats super old and experienced as a child caretaker :/. Also Background checks are LEGALLY required for certain activities with children in Canada. My dad who wanted to become a Cub Scout Leader for my troop back in the day needed a police background check to even apply.
