    Watching a full match is the answer to most FM issues that deal with tactics. You don’t know what you don’t know. I think your video on watching the full match and what that can do was MASSIVE and is something that can be worked into almost any of your videos. It’s beautiful to see the consistency you bring!

    Can you do a video on match analysis? Pre and post game but specifically half time. Some games i feel completely wrecked by half time and looking at the data doesn't seem to add much. Can't find a half decent video anywhere.

      Best way: put to full game highlight for few minutes. Imho there’s no better way to analyze the match. The stats can lie. Like my last final, the stats say I have good xG but Im sure I would’ve lost if i hadn’t gone full game to find what’s wrong and then adjust because full game showed I was losing control and momentum.

    • @pbh81
      @pbh81 3 месяца назад +1

      @@langletprolet8378 I generally start the game on comprehensive highlights till I score and feel comfortable. I do find watching the game more useful than looking at the stats. Easier to spot player weakness. But still their always a mid table team that comes out of nowhere to blow you out of the water. I generally look for who not passing well and which opposition player having a great game to close down more

    • @langletprolet8378
      @langletprolet8378 3 месяца назад

      @@pbh81 Yes 100%. For me extended highlight is enough, how u know u need full game when there are highlights that are just too dangerous. You have to adjust mid game. Example was my BPDs keep losing the ball cus of opponent’s press so its time to put dribble more off and put in take less risk. Without going full game you’re not gonna know this, the stats won’t tell us.
      Against midtable teams that blow u off, it needs role changes to be more solid to better prevent their dangerous counter attacks. Sometimes just lowering the defensive line is already one of the most effective ways. These guys like to exploit the high line of the top teams.

    One other way you can try to use is to make your LB IWB S so he comes inside to take that spot
    Or change B2B to be DLP so he sits around more
    With a CM A, B2B, and DM D, your DM D will be under a lot of pressure in transition since neither CM A or B2B will hold their position

  • @mezzaun

    The cover for a CM on attack in an IWB on support. The wide player should provide the width. I'd also put my DM on support so that the midfield moves as a block.

  • @torwangen3522
    @torwangen3522 Месяц назад

    I did the same thing for my AP in attack, set him to support to improve the spacing in midfield then set him to dribble more to ensure he wasn't too static and not contributing forwards. He was playing next to a CM in support and DM in support (with hold position enabled) in a 4-3-3 winger formation. Early signs are good but I need to play a few more games to know whether it will work or not.

    I would love to make a series of every team and player instruction option there is based on videos as you do.

    If I’m playing Arsenal on a 4-3-3 with a iwb-s (zinchenko), iwb-d, dm-s(rice), should I put havertz as a cm-a or cm-s, and odegaard as a rpm or an AP-s? I have saka as w-a and martinelli as a w-s with osimhen as an af-a

      @theavgdad  3 месяца назад

      OI only situationally (watch my vid with the gasperini thumbnail) and no PIs either. Sometimes I will throw on "mark tighter" on someone like an IFa if I notice they have an attacking wingback or some such, I believe in minimal instructions on base tactic so I can play with everything ingame

    Hello @Avgdad. Any help on defensive set pieces stopping goals from 2nd phase/2nd balls? Additionally, on throw ins the ball usually goes back to the thrower and creates a 2v1 situation. Any help?

    • @jjavalon
      @jjavalon 3 месяца назад

      Unfortunately in FM 24 defensive set pieces are biased, you concede a lot on 2nd balls and opponent throw ins. That’s a game’s glitch. You can score a lot too, though.

    • @theavgdad
      @theavgdad  3 месяца назад

      on the second ball for things like corners, I like to set two guys to "edge of area". Primarily they wanna break fast, but they also close down 2nd ball shots nicely. Throwins are tough, but just simply having fullbacks who are good in the air helps haha

    My 2029 frankfurt midfield is a case of "suffering from success" where im not sure how to use or properly rotate the midfield that i do that.
    Got one dude with like 15-16 in all physicals and dribbling stats, ~19 vision and passing and most other stats in the 14-15 stats.
    Putting him in attacking mid would seem like the play but ive got mussiala who picked up for 90m there and is hard to rotate due to being a star player.

    • @michaelwalsh9404
      @michaelwalsh9404 3 месяца назад

      Thing is because of my club reputation lots of clubs just sort of go into a low block and by the time the ball gets up the field on short passing, my short striker has no room to breathe

    • @nickfury8973
      @nickfury8973 3 месяца назад

      @@michaelwalsh9404use a striker role that drops deep to create space - a PF S or CF S, or a F9.
      Alternatively you train your short striker to be an IF and put him on wing, and get a big Targetman that can drop deep to lure defenders away

    • @theavgdad
      @theavgdad  3 месяца назад

      feel like this guy would be a great b2b, that role is kinda perfect for the sort of Steven Gerrardy player you're describing, would do the same with Bellingham. In the tactic I showed in the vid once the lcm becomes a CMs, the b2b on the right becomes a fantastic outlet, combining with all of the players near him and doing everything since the AF moves a bit right to give him room. Sometimes engineering space in your tactic is the way to go

    What is your opinion on this:
    I played with feyenoord 433 where I had on the left defender a complete wingback on support Left Centre back as libero on support, right ball plating defender and right back was a inverted wingback on attack.
    Midfield: left side Half back - box to box midfielder on the right side and an enganche as attacking midfielder.
    Left inverted winger, complete attacker and Winger on the right.
    What is your opinion? Got second in the league with 2 points behind psv.

    Greetings my fellow manager loving the content and how it teaches you how to play rather than plug n play. I struggle to identify my team strengths and weaknesses more so on the squad comparison screen for league averages. More so on what each team attribute means and what each one does. How can one be used effectively to setup a tactic that suits my team. Can you help

    • @theavgdad
      @theavgdad  2 месяца назад +1

      good question. I like to try and figure out a "benchmark" for that league, like a point where the crucial attribute for the job is usable. Like 15 in EPL, with anything higher being pretty good and lower being below standard, up to 18+ being world class. Then I'll go 1 point down from that to championship, and one more per league, with less demand on other attributes across the board as well as the standard lowers. I know that's not really what you asked but hope it helps a bit, I'll look into the squad comp screens a bit more and maybe pipeline a video there
