I've loved "Clan an Drumma" since they were "Albanach." They are AMAZING , especially live, where you can actually FEEL the drums! For those in the Eastern US, they will be at the Bethlehem, PA Celtic Festival this fall.
W-O-W!!! So much beauty and history. The castle alone had me speechless! I'm very happy and proud that you are so interested in the USA, but if I lived there I don't think I'd ever want to leave!! Show us more of Scotland!!!
I didn’t know you two are from Edinburgh. Wow! Thank you for sharing the Tattoo with us. I was there for the Festival this year, but missed the Tattoo! I was there the last days of a 20 day trip, so was low on funds and still had a great time. It was amazing, such diverse acts free on the streets! I took a very comfortable double decker bus from Tranent with views of the ocean along the way and only 2 pounds. I found little cafes where bowls of home made soup and bread was reasonably priced. I took a walking tour, saw the bleachers for the tattoo and visited the castle. ❤Edinburgh.
What an AMAZING time y'all had! This is something I'd like to see first-hand. I can understand why locals don't bother going to town during the festivals with the massive influx of tourists flooding the streets. That's how I was when I lived in Galveston, Texas during Mardi Gras and Dickens on The Strand, although Dickens was introduced me to different foods like Scotch Eggs. Thank you so much for sharing Edinburgh excitement with us! And maybe - just maybe - we'll be able to meet someday, either in the U.S. or in Scotland! 🤞🏻 Much love to you and your beautiful bride!
I really like the fiddle tune you played through out your video in the places that you had to cover up copyrighted music. I enjoyed this video about the month of fests in August. It looks like fun!
10:47 But Shaun, clearly, Queen is the sound of the Scottish Highlands! Duncan MacLeod, born in the Highlands of Scotland in 1592. 🙂 😎 The opening to every episode of Highlander the Series being a sample of Princes of the Universe by Queen (which was written for Highlander the Movie): Here we are, born to be kings We're the princes of the Universe I am immortal I have inside me blood of kings I have no rival No man can be my equal Take me to the future of your world
It is so fun watching these kinds of festivities from other places, although I also like to see what common, every day life is like in places I have never been. Didn't you say your wife is from Brazil? I have never really seen much from people living or traveling in Brazil. Might be more difficult due to language differences though. If I'm not mistaken, Guyana is the only English speaking country in South America. I had a student from there, her accent to me sounded like she was from Jamaica. 😁
I want to go to the tattoo someday but August is too warm for me. I visit in May to enjoy cool weather...escaping Texas. I will be signing up for Patreon again before the book comes out. I needed to take a break to pay off this past Mays Scotland trip. Lol
@LRod1959 Yes, I know but I usually go early to avoid midges. I always go up in the highlands to climb and hike. I think I have decided to go in time to attend next summer ❤️
the band you showed was pretty awesome as well though 🙂 You should make a Glenfinnan video, that was where the Clan MacLeod was supposedly based in Highlander the Series. Although their castle was Eilean Dornan near Donie, Scotland. 🙂 USAF band was cool, but the wrong branch, clearly the Navy is the best branch! I wonder if the USN band ever goes there. 🙂
Is the United States Airforce Band playing a song from Final Fantasy at 20:48-20:52? It sounds familiar, but I can't remember which song it sounds like it comes from, but I think it's from FFVII? If so, then that would be amazing!

Thank you for sharing your culture!!! Love to watch American reactions but it is nice to see events and landscapes of your country!
My alma mater just made its 4th trip to The Fringe! Castle High School from Kaneohe, Hawaii, USA is amazing!

Thank you for sharing, I loved it. You're welcome to come back to Texas any time.

That was quite the production they put on at the night time event? 👍🏻🇺🇸
