I will subscribe. I appreciate your video . Thank you for your bravery taking it apart ! I am 47 and got this trans for my B-day from my wife ! Yes she supports my childlike hobby . And I bought the brown trx 4m to go in my fleet . I already have a meus racing mb18 with the furitek starter . I got my trans w/o motor so I have some assembly to do . Thanks again
You saved us!! Just bought that same transmission but w/o the motor. Had to swap in the stock motor and ended up with gears everywhere!! Followed your guide to get it all back together.
Yeah super cool, I want to see those axles only thing I’m thinking of changing on my black Chevy TRX4M hi trail and steering servo definitely. Appreciate your sharing as always catch you on the next one 👋👋😎
Really nice looking trany .. Very elaborate looking guts(gears) also ... I have the TRX4M high trail shouldn't matter , I have not looked on the Mets website ... thanks for the cool video Ken , Wow Nothing is easy ... what fun would it be if it was easy lol
honestly the 2 speed is what sold me onto the fcx 24. Building that into a trx 4m makes it a lot more appealing. (especially since the LHS has much more traxxas stuff!)
Most times, the greases soften. The thickeners interact and become runny. In some cases, the thickener bleeds excessively, releasing large amounts of the vital oil and additives, which leaves behind mostly thickener. In a few instances, the mixed grease can harden.
Hmm good to know. Would be nice to know what can mix and what can’t. So I guess the best thing is to just clear out the old grease and use only the new grease?
@TheShopMiniRC that's deff the best thing to do.. clean out the old grease and start fresh.. imo cheaper to spend an extra 15 mins doing it right than buying new gear and doing the extra work anyway..
That SHI FT is Sick!!!😂 Hell Yeah thanks for opening it up. I have mine on the way without a motor. So I will have to open it to mount my MOFO TORQUEBEAST X. MOD 4 11t pinion you say. I hope it comes with it. I can order 1
Thanks for the size comparison against the stock transmission. That showed how much taller this is. I was hoping it would fit in my IR40 build. I have the Mofo BAM on my Ripper, I may have to swap that motor onto this tranny 🙂
Okay, i think i could cut mod and fiddle with an scx24 too make this fit. What do you think about quality between this and the rcawd 2-speed? Thank you for the great info!
i dont know if i like it tiny spur gear and alot of small gears to over engineered like a german tank awesome when they working absolute nightmare when their not

Thanks a ton for watching. It does make me nervous to open some of these up. Lol

Nice! glad the video helped!!!
Hunted through videos for the hearing set, YOU SAVED MY PROJECT I cannot thank you enough!!
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching.
Watching you take all those gears out and mess with my memory about the order of them about gave me a heart attack lol. Great content as always!
Lmao. Sorrryyyy we gotter back together though. ;)

Thanks a ton for watching. Part of the fun is when it’s not easy. ;)
As always super informative and great energy. Thanks for another great video
Thanks again! I appreciate your viewership.
Yeah that’s where I get a little flubbed up trying to remember where they all went, I’ve got no memory no more 🤣🤣
Hahaha we are all gettin old ;)
You don't even need the 3 hole thing installed just the straight up shaft works great for manual operation
Good point. ;)
Cannot wait for the rest of my tarantula build to come in. This does fit in the frame perfectly
Nice!!!!

100% the 2 speeds are fun!
Again appreciate you sharing I’ll be back when I get that transmission. I’ll watch for the axles 👍😎
;)

@@jamesgreenwood6959 very true.

Any time! Not sure if the motorless version comes with a pinion or not.
Back watching again, thinking going that to speed in my black Chevy highlift
Sure will.
Very good video helped me out with my build thank you for sharing 💚🤝👏👍
Glad I could help
Very cool transmission 2 speed
Indeed
I love this 2-spd trans. It is awesome with a Furitek or a brushless motor.
We def wanna try brushless on it.
@@kennethrobinson9008 would this work with a fat viper brushless?
Yeah first thing I do, I peel the stickers off the motors, specially the SCX 24th
Makes sense.
I could see this for my future TRX4m monster truck build
That could be awesome.
That’s awesome, for the shifter super cool 👍👍😎
Yeah. Fun fun.
THAT SHIFT IS SICK!!!!!!
Thanks for watching good sir!!!!

It’s pretty tall. Lol
What about a 3s run with this ..?
Likely it would be fine. Just have to watch the temp.
Thank you ❤
You're welcome 😊
Okay, i think i could cut mod and fiddle with an scx24 too make this fit.
What do you think about quality between this and the rcawd 2-speed?
Thank you for the great info!
I think they both have pretty good quality. They are definitely gonna be tight squeezes into an scx.
that shit is sick ken ..cool
Thanks for watching!!
Getting them back together correctly is what scares me
Always. Lol
Any idea if a 2-speed trans is in the pipe for SCX24? (granted, there ain't much room with the one speed trany's! LOL!)
Thanks!
Bert
There is the RCAWD 2 speed that uses an fcx24 trans and a skid plate adapter. Video coming.
@@TheShopMiniRCAwesome!
Nice and greased also cool
Yes it was
now meus need to make one for the fcx24
The fcx already has a 2 speed. lol. (I’m sure you just mean a metal upgrade. ;)
So did anyone try the left right left right thing he talked ever so breifly about?
If we ever get around to testing this, we will definitely make a video for it.
When does the fcx18 K10 drop?
Hahaha soon. Soon.
I use brake lube in my trx4m so I think ur good 😭
Hahha ok
yup
No instructions on how to take off because that’s what gets them returned .
How to take off what?
@@TheShopMiniRC disassemble the trans . I imagine some folks open em up and lose a screw or can’t get it back together and send it back for a refund .
@ ahh. Gotcha. Yeah, that’s unfortunate. That’s what videos are for. ;)
Its under 60??? Wow cheaper than going brushless
Yeah for sure. And when you decide to go brushless. Even more speed and torque.
that shi what now?.. is sick.. hah
;)
I just think any grease is better than no grease...
Very true.
i dont know if i like it tiny spur gear and alot of small gears to over engineered like a german tank awesome when they working absolute nightmare when their not
Thanks for the insight.
Boy, that's a fiddly mess inside.
Wasn’t toooo bad.
