Great Review! Own multiple Hondas last 15 years but after seeing all about Elevate, it is a let down. ‘Hybrid Powertrain’ is a sore miss. They have a Hybrid on City BHeV and still Elevate does not have it. Why? On features - Every category sees ‘Feature-evolution’ in time based on ‘User Lifestyle’ that Honda seems to ignore - rear Type-C charger, seat ventilation, rear disc brakes are par for the course now. Again a miss! Honda is leveraging their rich equity in India in ‘cutting back’, not ‘paying-forward’. Expected better from a ‘Sedan’ segment leader who is late by 3+ years in entering the ‘SUV/MUV’ segment. @HondaCarsIndia
While we agree that Honda should have offered the Elevate with a hybrid powertrain, we understand that the company does not have the capacity to handle the demand for such a product - the hybrid kits are imported and the backlash from extended waiting periods is not worth offering the option Honda is instead working on a pure EV variant of the Elevate which will (hopefully) put it ahead in the race We also agree with your analysis of the Elevate in terms of features offered, the SUV does not stand out from the crowd in that regard

Subscribed the Channel after seeing so many positive comments for the reviewer, I am planning to buy my first car and elevate is one of the sort listed one.
I would say the Elevate is the easier car to drive and live with. It also has the better engine. The Seltos is for those who want more bang for their buck via features.
Thanks for the video. You missed out on the safety of kia seltos while comparison which a lot of buyers consider now. Also Would have loved to have an approx idea of V & VX variants ?
City 4th gen with 2 air bag is 4 star rated while 5th gen city is 5 star crash rated. So elevate should be atleast 4 star while seltos was just above 2 star
Honda did not provide us with the CVT variant to review. There's only enough time at these drive events to drive and shoot a detailed review of one car
Should I go for a cvt or a mt I drive mostly in the city, which has a better feel of driving mt or cvt, is the cvt of elevate exactly same as the Honda city ?
We have not driven the Elevate with the CVT. While the expectation is that it will feel more or less like the City CVT, we will have to drive it before we can comment The CVT will always feel better to drive in the city compared to the manual, just because it reduces the hassle
The NVH felt fine. You can hear the engine in the mid range and above. But up to almost 100kmph when in 6th, there's very little road or wind noise seeping in. This will change on concrete roads, however.
Want to buy this car. Can 360 camera and TPMS system be retrofitted as an accessory from Honda? Also how does the ADAS performs at night/rain/fog as it’s camera based.
First impressions are good, as you can see in this review video. But a recommendation will have to wait till after Honda announces the Elevate's price in September 2023
Between the top models of Elevate, Taigun, Kushaq....which one should I prefer...? I am someone who likes to drive .......and would prefer a comfortable suv for a family of 4. Over a long drive, which one would be more comfortable??
@@vikrantsingh6916 but taigun with all the power it delivers gives lesser mileage I guess . I was hoping and waiting for elevate hybrid but Honda disappointed a bit there
@@vikrantsingh6916 thank you sir….in some other video I had heard that only 2 adult and a children will be comfortable….but since now u have told , I am sure three people will be able to sit….finally sir between elevate manual petrol top end and Seltos HTX manual petrol which one would you suggest ……I will keep the car for next 7 years atleast and I have family of 5 …hence asking….🫡
The great diesel’s torque makes it more fun when it comes to quick accelerations. The Elevate can't match that. But, if you don't mind a relatively slower car but one with a lovely gerbox, then the elevate makes for a more involving car to drive. If you dosn't cover a lot of km, I would say wait fort he Honda’s price before deciding.
To me here is what I would pick and why… Kushaq - is you like driving. Elevate - if you want a comfy, no nonsense, easy to drive car. And Nexon, if don't mind the comparative lack of space, snob value Its interior does look and feel cheaper than the other two, though.
What about honda elevate sales in coming months will it become the best and king in the segment in terms of sales and outperform seltos/creta/taigun/kushaq
In terms of safety, we cannot say, as both of them have not been crash tested. The Elevate is based on a the City platform which has scored high in ASEAN N-CAP The Elevate - has a slightly larger boot - offers climate control - offers telescopic and tilt adjustable steering - gets Honda Connect telematics - gets height adjustable headrests for all three rear passengers - gets 60:40 split rear seats - gets rear windscreen defogger - gets LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs The Seltos - has a higher claimed mileage - gets disc brakes for all wheels - gets six airbags - gets front and rear parking sensors - rear-manual window blinds - 6-speaker sound system You should choose the SUV that meets your requirements better
The Elevate will feel airier inside thanks to the lighter colours used Fit and finish is better in the Elevate Ride comfort is comparable The Grand Vitara offers more features The Elevate will feel more relaxing to drive thanks to the tansmission The Elevate will feel slightly more eager, because of the slightly more powerful engine But you should take the decision after the prices are announced and you have test driven both these cars, with the respective transmissions

Very detailed review. Thank you!
Thank you Anant. :-)
Glad you liked the video Anant!
Seltos htx mt or elevate zx mt?? Which one is better to buy?
Can give a recommendation only after Honda announces the Elevate's prices. Let's wait
I would say the Elevate is the easier car to drive and live with. It also has the better engine. The Seltos is for those who want more bang for their buck via features.
Great review. Thanks for keeping it simple.
Thank you for watching! Do consider subscribing to the channel for more such content
Thanks for the video. You missed out on the safety of kia seltos while comparison which a lot of buyers consider now. Also Would have loved to have an approx idea of V & VX variants ?
I think you can look at City V and VX trims to get a better idea.
For the safety comparison you can check 06:12 and 21:42
City 4th gen with 2 air bag is 4 star rated while 5th gen city is 5 star crash rated. So elevate should be atleast 4 star while seltos was just above 2 star
Great review! Well done ✅
Thank you!

Why was the CVT variant not reviewed? Missed that part
Honda did not provide us with the CVT variant to review. There's only enough time at these drive events to drive and shoot a detailed review of one car
We didn't have time to review the CVT. But we will have that review for you soon.
Should I go for a cvt or a mt I drive mostly in the city, which has a better feel of driving mt or cvt, is the cvt of elevate exactly same as the Honda city ?
We have not driven the Elevate with the CVT. While the expectation is that it will feel more or less like the City CVT, we will have to drive it before we can comment
The CVT will always feel better to drive in the city compared to the manual, just because it reduces the hassle
@@CarWale what about the feel I always felt that Honda city mt is way better than cvt in terms of feel
That will not change in the Elevate. Same powertrain
How does NVH levels compare against the 5th Gen City? (which i consider to be poor in terms of road and ambient noise).
The NVH felt fine. You can hear the engine in the mid range and above. But up to almost 100kmph when in 6th, there's very little road or wind noise seeping in. This will change on concrete roads, however.
You own honda city?
Excellent review. Thanks 🙏
Want to buy this car. Can 360 camera and TPMS system be retrofitted as an accessory from Honda? Also how does the ADAS performs at night/rain/fog as it’s camera based.
Did you get an answer for these questions?
@@XpD78 360 camera can’t be retrofitted. TPMS can be retrofitted.
No info about ADAS. So bought MG Astor instead.
I am looking to buy my first car.
Is this car worth the price point.. given that i am looking at safety and ride quality
Yes. It is. Good visibility, comfy ride, and thoughtfully designed cabin. Help here.
First impressions are good, as you can see in this review video. But a recommendation will have to wait till after Honda announces the Elevate's price in September 2023
Thank you guys for the info... wholesome review
A CVT reasonable priced, with No Nonsence features and good build quality. That is Elevate.
Reasonably priced - let us hope. For honda’s sake.
It starts at 13.2 lacs for V model ex showroom
Hello, i just want to know, why that screen is keep on blinking...?
That's because of the shutter speed on the camera. It doesn't blink like that when you see it in person.
Between the top models of Elevate, Taigun, Kushaq....which one should I prefer...? I am someone who likes to drive .......and would prefer a comfortable suv for a family of 4. Over a long drive, which one would be more comfortable??
If you like driving, but the Taigun 1.5. It fits four in comfort too. Handling, brushing, steering response, you name it and the VW delivers.
@@vikrantsingh6916 but taigun with all the power it delivers gives lesser mileage I guess . I was hoping and waiting for elevate hybrid but Honda disappointed a bit there
Hi team, can you let us know more about the body structure and build quality? Does it feel heavy like Tata?
34:46 could give you an indication
It doesn't feel flimsy, but is not heavy like Tata
Pls reply whether 3 persons can sit comfortably in rear seat in Honda elevate
Yes. You can put three people comfortably in the rear seat.
Sir which is best between elevate and creta sx diesel for fun to drive❤❤
The great diesel’s torque makes it more fun when it comes to quick accelerations. The Elevate can't match that. But, if you don't mind a relatively slower car but one with a lovely gerbox, then the elevate makes for a more involving car to drive. If you dosn't cover a lot of km, I would say wait fort he Honda’s price before deciding.
@@vikrantsingh6916 thanks you so much ❤️❤️
I could listen to you speak all day ... very lovely review
Thanks for a great review! Can you please tell how is the ride quality when compared to Grand Vitara/ Hyryder twins?
Thanks Parth. The ride is a hint more comfortable, especially at slower speeds.
Hello sir, I have a budget of 15 lakh nearby, should I go with elevate or search for seltos and vitara
Sir, please reply
Hi can you please suggest me a car under 16L with decent features and mileage with AT transmission, with low maintenance cost
Mt hector
Pure review
No Nutanki
Appreciated 👍
confused b/w nexon facelift, elevate and kushaq
To me here is what I would pick and why… Kushaq - is you like driving. Elevate - if you want a comfy, no nonsense, easy to drive car. And Nexon, if don't mind the comparative lack of space, snob value Its interior does look and feel cheaper than the other two, though.
Like there are variants of sunroof option .. there should be optional variants of six airbags too with some extra charges
When customers start demanding such combinations, the manufacturers will offer them too
Brilliant detailed unbiased analysis 👍
Elevate, a no nonsense practical CSUV 🤩
What about honda elevate sales in coming months will it become the best and king in the segment in terms of sales and outperform seltos/creta/taigun/kushaq
We will have to wait and watch
We don't reckon it will be the king of the segment, unless the price is very attractive
Nice review. Correct point about pricing
Thank you! Now we will know how serious Honda is about selling these with the price reveal.
Honda Elevate VMT or Seltos HTK1.5 Petrol- Which is the most suitable Car, regarding safety and Practical features?
In terms of safety, we cannot say, as both of them have not been crash tested. The Elevate is based on a the City platform which has scored high in ASEAN N-CAP
The Elevate
- has a slightly larger boot
- offers climate control
- offers telescopic and tilt adjustable steering
- gets Honda Connect telematics
- gets height adjustable headrests for all three rear passengers
- gets 60:40 split rear seats
- gets rear windscreen defogger
- gets LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs
The Seltos
- has a higher claimed mileage
- gets disc brakes for all wheels
- gets six airbags
- gets front and rear parking sensors
- rear-manual window blinds
- 6-speaker sound system
You should choose the SUV that meets your requirements better
Confused between seltos hte and elevate sv..my running of car is 6000 km per year..pls reply
I would say go with the Honda.
How's the wind / road noise at high speed around 80kmphr vs seltos?
Very similar at 80kmph. At 100, the elevate is louder.
Confusion between Grand vitara zeta mt or Elevate zx cvt daily 60km running mostly on highway and rural roads
The Elevate will feel airier inside thanks to the lighter colours used
Fit and finish is better in the Elevate
Ride comfort is comparable
The Grand Vitara offers more features
The Elevate will feel more relaxing to drive thanks to the tansmission
The Elevate will feel slightly more eager, because of the slightly more powerful engine
But you should take the decision after the prices are announced and you have test driven both these cars, with the respective transmissions
Sir, your review/opinion is very organic. Grateful!! Your selection of words is a piece of Art….. thanks for the video, look forward for more.
Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated!
Thank you so much!
XUV 300 or Honda Elevate can you please advise we are trying to purchase a car
The Elevate. It is more practical. And it will fetch you better resale five or seven years later.
Anyone confirm which is better car for reliability and mileage and performance creta SX manual or Elevate vx manual or kushaq 1.5 tsi ambition.
Which car would you go
Any news/hope of Hybrid on the Elevate?
No. There will be no hybrid for the Elevate. But a BEV is due in two years.
Hi how is honda elevate performance in hills?
Check out 33:38
Superb review , But I am Totally confused which one to choose Though i done booking for Honda Elevate , Still thinking should i go for Kia seltos , I do have Honda Jazz need to Upgrade for a SUV
Required your suggestion

@@CarWale Mostly looking for a reliable SUV with maximum city drive price budget between 16 to 17
As upgrading to SUV at least for 4to 7 year peace of mind
@@rajeshdalaithese are exactly my requirements and I am exactly in the same spot as you. Booked elevate but confused because of Seltos. But I am not looking to update for the next 12-15 years.
