It makes no sense to compare a vehicle that has a Turbo engine and has a price at least 4 lakhs higher than a vehicle with an NA engine... just because the body type is SUVish!!! I love the simplicity of the Honda interiors, looks very contemporary! The KIA's one is too flashy for me! The only downside is the lack of a turbo option in the Elevate. Other than that, good job Honda!
Elevate is definitely One of the best cars from Honda. At least 2 things they missed out i.e. Turbo Petrol & ventilated car seats (needed especially for India). Rest of the differentiating factors can be ignored. Seltos still stays ahead as it offers everything that you can ask for, thus a complete package I would say.

Imo the total cars sold with ventilated seats (top specs) is really small as compared to overall sales. The highest selling varient is mostly the base varient without ventilated seats. So that should not be a problem at 17 lakhs on road for Zx MT. Turbo is a big miss I agree
Go for the Elevate. Honda Elevate have the best driving position, comforts, 2nd row spacing, interior spacing, boot space, quality for ride and interior details, down clearance, ADAS, powerful n/a engine with good mileage and the top model offers a excellent feature which can be easily justified its price. Elevate is good option for those drivers who need the top of the line variant below 20lakh. other all Mid-size Suv's top variant cost more than 20 to 24.50 lakhs. Honda has done a really Excellent work for Elevate, even though it lack some feature such as 360* camera, three point seat belts, middle passenger headrest : which could have been offered and etc. Mid size SUV buyers go for the Elevate, it will bring an new experience and enjoyment ! Elevate is a much mature car than seltos. And it drives much better too. Only miss is torque and to seome extent power. 120 bhp is great, but 145nm is not so much. Creta NA 1.5 petrol gives lower power and torque, but its priced a good 3 lakhs lower also!
Right! How did Rachit go so wrong? Kia Seltos shown is almost 26L on road in Mumbai vs 19 Lakh elevate. Variant of Seltos which is priced at 19L doesn’t get wireless charger, doesn’t get auto seat adjustment, doesn’t get ADAS, doesn’t get ventilated seats, doesn’t get Bose speakers, doesn’t get 18 inch wheels, doesn’t get turbo petrol. Most unfair comparison. This becomes so misleading, i sit with multiple brochures and wait for Rachit’s video so that he could guide better.

Bro, if possible, then create a video someday to advice people on how to get discounts from the dealerships. What all extra features (interior/exterior) they can ask/request the dealerships to add in the car at no price hike and how people can save their money when dealerships give them quotations.

At @18:05 braking test, it’s surprising that while Elevate stopped almost immediately , the seltos continued like forever, and yet it’s said its braking is far more effective. 😅
This entire video is SO WRONG & misleading in all aspects. Completely comparing 2 models which are of 2 different price points. Plus braking distance clearly shows ELEVATE is better BUT they say so calmly that Seltos is more confident. Yes confident to collide ….😂😂😂
I dont know how objective the braking test was (speed of car, brake pressure applied etc.), but from experience, the seltos has very strong brakes (almost premium car like) and is one of the highlights imo. You can confidently drive at any speed and rely on the brakes to slow you down. Never driven the elevate, but i don’t doubt him. Try experiencing it for yourself. Pedal feel on the seltos is very bad though. It’s very spongy and has no feedback.
@@rajivkrishnan4006 it was clearly stated that 60-0. Let’s not doubt the calibre of the testing team of motor octane. Braking has to be good for this or any segment else they don’t deserve to be on road. 😅. But Elevate has the shortest distance post braking and hence the strongest brakes. In the mega comparison video they have mentioned the distance traveled too post braking. Hope this helps.

Elevate ka ZX manual on road 17.50 hai in Jaipur. Ye price point mein whatever ZX is offering is not being offered by any SUV. Will go with it. Baki sab mein budget badhana padega. ADAS, boot space, ground clearance, interior is very VFM.
Nice efforts, thank you But you should have compared Seltos HTX with Elevate zx. Both have 1.5 NA engine and MT/CVT transmission. Note that top end variant of Seltos has more features than HTX. So comparing top variant of Seltos with Elevate is not justifiable.

That is the most gimmick tricks from Korean makers,, they do not give you their NA variants for test drive. They know it sucks! I tried several time and I told them I want to buy Petrol NA engine but they were offering me diesel engine for test drive 😂
16.6 lakh top end manual on road Kolkata comes with Adas. The engine is a very powerful one and won't make you miss turbo, steering feedback is much better than the Kia A complete practical car.

I drove both the cars and observed very very carefully. The fit and finish, metal and paint quality, door weight and thud sound, interior carpet, plastic and built quality of Honda is far far far superior than the Seltos. Period...!!!
Elevate should be compared with Seltos HTX and not the top end variant. Both are priced similarly, HTX doesn't have the ADAS and many other features listed in the video
Elevate is priced really well. All of us know the I Vtec very well. It can do at least 3-4 lakh kms without a hitch. Hybrid with some additional power would have made it unbeatable. Also, a larger sunroof...just a fad without much usage value in my part of the country.
I'm surprised to see you comparing apples to oranges. You can't simple compare the "top end" variants of the two models. the reasonable comparison would've been Seltos HTX vs Elevate ZX. "Double the features" in Seltos to that of Elevate is a ridiculous statement. Compare apples to apples to make sense of the video

You are comparing cars at two different price points. A fair comparison would be Honda Elevate ZX to Kia Seltos HTX NA, as they are priced pretty closely. All Seltos variants above that are for a higher budget.

@@Joseph-fb2bg bhai I have honda Idtec 1.5 turbo. Using it since 2016 it has never failed. Who says turbo is unreliable?? Proper start stop behaviour with turbo engines ensures long life. Ivtec with turbo would have been beyond comparisons.
@@ankurkumar7835there's a difference between a diesel turbo and a petrol turbo. Petrol are a lot difficult to make reliable as the carbon deposits around the chamber when ignited directly. Diesel, no soch issues and it is self igniting. Elevate with 1.5 turbo would be killer but the price would touch the roof as well
As a owner of elevate since 6 months there are few things which makes daily driving not easy - 1. Lack of under tigh support in the front seats and lack of foot area this cause pain in the tigh and ankle after long drive 2. please dont take the dual tone as during hot summer - the area around the sun roof area gets super hot in summer even with the sun roof cover you will feel the heat on top of your head while driving and after few hrs both the front passengers will feel the heat and you will be exhuasted after driving. I am not able to find the solution to this and i am disappointed with the lack of engineering skills being executed in this car i was able to improve the under tigh support and lower back support. I took the car to a seat fabricator, and he added extra firm foam in the under tigh area and lumbar support area now the seat feels like a recliner. I am very happy with this solution.

Bought elevate zx manual one month back....its pure pleasure to drive... No other car gives u such smooth riding... Solid structure... 5 star safety... Anybidy can easily through some feature for such perfect elevate car

iVTEC 1500cc engine is weak between 1500-2600 rpm and makes overtaking difficult. It’s fine if you drive in high revs above 3000 rpm. But most of us drive in the 1500-2600 rpm range. Plus the engine sounds strained and noisy with 5 gears in a City. Do Check how many gears you have.
It’s a Vague comparison. you should be comparing Honda Elevate ZX CVT & MT with kia HTX IVT as both variants falls under the same price point. You shouldn’t have compared ₹18.5 lac model with ₹23 lac model. kia HTX IVT doesn’t offer ADAS & digital Cluster in this price point. And moreover safety is the number one priority which kia is miles away compared to Honda cars. It’s my neutral opinion as I doesn’t own any of the cars.
I have both Honda city & Seltos. I found honda city is very sensitive car, Engine noise, Poor suspension, wheel alignment problem, Tyres on honda Run only 40-45000km, while on seltos, it run around 80000km.

Honda cars are the best, I have been to a Honda showroom today and it is the best looking and best performance care. It is much better in terms of safety too.
People here say this is not a proper comparison.Because of price.But for me Top model vs top model.correct comparison. U won't compare any 2 cars if you want to compare them with PRICES.
The comparison is good but not practically justified. Comparison should have been between the following: 1. NA engines of both the cars 2. Just driving a car over a speed breaker is not real test for ride quality. Elevate is way smoother on a continous rough patch with 3 adults at the back than seltos! 3. Driving on the climb seltos NA engine literally lags a lot whereas Honda is much much better. 4. The major feature that the elevate ZX gets at its price point is ADAS whereas Seltos NA model doesn’t. 5. Number of airbags should have been compared too. Since Rachit always mentions about motor octane being about safety. 6. As a suggestion - tests like horn and viper shouldn’t be made because these are aftermarket subjective upgradable features. Lastly you mentioned about seltos being a family car and would disagree because in this Honda elevate ZX clearly wins! (If compared to top spec seltos NA model, apart from Panaromic sunroof)
After comparing both of them upclose personally, I would go with Seltos. Seltos HTX variant comes close to Elevate Top end in terms of pricing (18.29L elevate and 18.58L Seltos). Sitting in Seltos you feel like you are sitting in a proper 18.5L car. Elevate was like a taller Amaze. And it is just that, a taller Amaze, unfortunately. Elevate shares parts with Amaze and not with City, while being costly than City Top end. "Honda is reliable" was a good argument point a few good years back but. Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki, Toyota and even VW and Skoda engines are reliable now a days, just do proper timely servicing, VW and Skoda are the only brands still giving trouble to users. Honda didn't even try to make Elevate a good car. The exposed screws, cheap flimsy plastic parts even on the top variant is just unacceptable according to today's standard. Dont blindly go after the brand name. Go to the showrooms and check multiple cars out. If you still want a Honda get the City ZX Manual, Great car and feels more premium inside. But then again why won't you consider Virtus, Slavia, or Verna!

Elevate is based on Amaze/4th gen city platform, so it should get 4 stars. Since it doesn't have 3-point seatbelt and only 2 airbags until second top model (WTF) Elevate will never get 5 star. It doesn't qualify for 5 stars. according to new test standards. Plus don't be fooled by Star rating. Indian cars are made to pass the test, not save the passengers.🤣 And I have been riding an RS200 and Hunter 350 for 5 years,ridin g on highways at 80-120, not to mention millions of Indians still in zero rated cars, if after buying a Seltos with 6 airbags and all electronic safety features from base variant, If I die after crashing at 60kmpl in city traffic then so be it...🤣 I don't mind it. At least I can look at the sky one last time through the panoramic sunroof🤣 safety rating is good to consider but don't rely too much on it.
If someone wants to keep the car for 7-8 years they better go for honda. We have a kia seltos diesel in India but now that the diesel is no longer available Honda's 1.5 is much more reliable. Kia/Hyundai's petrol engine has a major issue in long run especially the 1.5T.

Shouldn't we have a like to like comparison to keep it simple? Elevate ZX MT vs Seltos HTX NA MT since they are priced same. Seltos is clearly loaded - larger wheels, dual AC, fully digital IC, electric ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, EPB and 360 camera... All this comes at a steep increment of 3 lakhs.

Completed 200KM in Elevate. Pure joy to drive. Very happy with this till now. Mileage 10.5 in city 20-21 on highway (70-80 speed).

Bro, if possible, then create a video someday to advice people on how to get discounts from the dealerships. What all extra features (interior/exterior) they can ask/request the dealerships to add in the car at no price hike and how people can save their money when dealerships give them quotations.

I dont know how objective the braking test was (speed of car, brake pressure applied etc.), but from experience, the seltos has very strong brakes (almost premium car like) and is one of the highlights imo. You can confidently drive at any speed and rely on the brakes to slow you down. Never driven the elevate, but i don’t doubt him. Try experiencing it for yourself. Pedal feel on the seltos is very bad though. It’s very spongy and has no feedback.

Braking has to be good for this or any segment else they don’t deserve to be on road. 😅. But Elevate has the shortest distance post braking and hence the strongest brakes. In the mega comparison video they have mentioned the distance traveled too post braking. Hope this helps.

Elevate ka ZX manual on road 17.50 hai in Jaipur. Ye price point mein whatever ZX is offering is not being offered by any SUV. Will go with it. Baki sab mein budget badhana padega. ADAS, boot space, ground clearance, interior is very VFM.

I drove both the cars and observed very very carefully. The fit and finish, metal and paint quality, door weight and thud sound, interior carpet, plastic and built quality of Honda is far far far superior than the Seltos. Period...!!!
Elevate should be compared with Seltos HTX and not the top end variant. Both are priced similarly, HTX doesn't have the ADAS and many other features listed in the video

Elevate is priced really well. All of us know the I Vtec very well. It can do at least 3-4 lakh kms without a hitch. Hybrid with some additional power would have made it unbeatable. Also, a larger sunroof...just a fad without much usage value in my part of the country.

You are comparing cars at two different price points. A fair comparison would be Honda Elevate ZX to Kia Seltos HTX NA, as they are priced pretty closely. All Seltos variants above that are for a higher budget.

@@ankurkumar7835there's a difference between a diesel turbo and a petrol turbo. Petrol are a lot difficult to make reliable as the carbon deposits around the chamber when ignited directly. Diesel, no soch issues and it is self igniting. Elevate with 1.5 turbo would be killer but the price would touch the roof as well

As a owner of elevate since 6 months there are few things which makes daily driving not easy - 1. Lack of under tigh support in the front seats and lack of foot area this cause pain in the tigh and ankle after long drive 2. please dont take the dual tone as during hot summer - the area around the sun roof area gets super hot in summer even with the sun roof cover you will feel the heat on top of your head while driving and after few hrs both the front passengers will feel the heat and you will be exhuasted after driving. I am not able to find the solution to this and i am disappointed with the lack of engineering skills being executed in this car
i was able to improve the under tigh support and lower back support. I took the car to a seat fabricator, and he added extra firm foam in the under tigh area and lumbar support area now the seat feels like a recliner. I am very happy with this solution.

Bought elevate zx manual one month back....its pure pleasure to drive... No other car gives u such smooth riding... Solid structure... 5 star safety... Anybidy can easily through some feature for such perfect elevate car

iVTEC 1500cc engine is weak between 1500-2600 rpm and makes overtaking difficult. It’s fine if you drive in high revs above 3000 rpm. But most of us drive in the 1500-2600 rpm range. Plus the engine sounds strained and noisy with 5 gears in a City. Do Check how many gears you have.
It’s a Vague comparison. you should be comparing Honda Elevate ZX CVT & MT with kia HTX IVT as both variants falls under the same price point. You shouldn’t have compared ₹18.5 lac model with ₹23 lac model.
kia HTX IVT doesn’t offer ADAS & digital Cluster in this price point. And moreover safety is the number one priority which kia is miles away compared to Honda cars.
It’s my neutral opinion as I doesn’t own any of the cars.
Please discuss about music quality as well. By just playing it in the video, we cannot judge the quality.

I have both Honda city & Seltos. I found honda city is very sensitive car, Engine noise, Poor suspension, wheel alignment problem, Tyres on honda Run only 40-45000km, while on seltos, it run around 80000km.

The comparison is good but not practically justified. Comparison should have been between the following:
1. NA engines of both the cars
2. Just driving a car over a speed breaker is not real test for ride quality. Elevate is way smoother on a continous rough patch with 3 adults at the back than seltos!
3. Driving on the climb seltos NA engine literally lags a lot whereas Honda is much much better.
4. The major feature that the elevate ZX gets at its price point is ADAS whereas Seltos NA model doesn’t.
5. Number of airbags should have been compared too. Since Rachit always mentions about motor octane being about safety.
6. As a suggestion - tests like horn and viper shouldn’t be made because these are aftermarket subjective upgradable features.
Lastly you mentioned about seltos being a family car and would disagree because in this Honda elevate ZX clearly wins! (If compared to top spec seltos NA model, apart from Panaromic sunroof)
After comparing both of them upclose personally, I would go with Seltos. Seltos HTX variant comes close to Elevate Top end in terms of pricing (18.29L elevate and 18.58L Seltos). Sitting in Seltos you feel like you are sitting in a proper 18.5L car. Elevate was like a taller Amaze. And it is just that, a taller Amaze, unfortunately. Elevate shares parts with Amaze and not with City, while being costly than City Top end. "Honda is reliable" was a good argument point a few good years back but. Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki, Toyota and even VW and Skoda engines are reliable now a days, just do proper timely servicing, VW and Skoda are the only brands still giving trouble to users. Honda didn't even try to make Elevate a good car. The exposed screws, cheap flimsy plastic parts even on the top variant is just unacceptable according to today's standard. Dont blindly go after the brand name. Go to the showrooms and check multiple cars out. If you still want a Honda get the City ZX Manual, Great car and feels more premium inside. But then again why won't you consider Virtus, Slavia, or Verna!

Elevate is based on Amaze/4th gen city platform, so it should get 4 stars. Since it doesn't have 3-point seatbelt and only 2 airbags until second top model (WTF) Elevate will never get 5 star. It doesn't qualify for 5 stars. according to new test standards. Plus don't be fooled by Star rating. Indian cars are made to pass the test, not save the passengers.🤣 And I have been riding an RS200 and Hunter 350 for 5 years,ridin g on highways at 80-120, not to mention millions of Indians still in zero rated cars, if after buying a Seltos with 6 airbags and all electronic safety features from base variant, If I die after crashing at 60kmpl in city traffic then so be it...🤣 I don't mind it. At least I can look at the sky one last time through the panoramic sunroof🤣

You should have compared naturally aspirated engines for both the models like Elevate ZX vs Seltos HTX to have a better comparison.
If someone wants to keep the car for 7-8 years they better go for honda. We have a kia seltos diesel in India but now that the diesel is no longer available Honda's 1.5 is much more reliable. Kia/Hyundai's petrol engine has a major issue in long run especially the 1.5T.

Shouldn't we have a like to like comparison to keep it simple? Elevate ZX MT vs Seltos HTX NA MT since they are priced same. Seltos is clearly loaded - larger wheels, dual AC, fully digital IC, electric ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, EPB and 360 camera... All this comes at a steep increment of 3 lakhs.
