Things to do before taking delivery call as PID. And tell the agent to show all functions., check all thanks me later
1. Ask for VIN
2. Form 22
3. Check the odometer and should be less than 100 km
4. Check if any repaint on the body
5. Physical inspection of painted part and plastic
6. Check keys all three keys and it's function
7. Check the paint from the side view and should be uniform
8. Check if ant tent very carefully, check if any scratches, especially near the corner
9. Check the side mirror
10 check there should not be any cut mark
11. Check all things in daylight
12. Check indicator and DRL
13. Check the noise while closing the door
14. Parking sensor functionality
15. Check boat space, there should not be any sound check the light and check the spare wheel, check all tool kits, check the jack, check the hazard light
16. Check all logos should be Pasted properly
17. Check engine
18. Check there should not be any small stone mark on the windshield
19. Check all switch
20 check parking light
21. Check all infotainment systems, check volume with full volume, and check all speaker
22. Check navigation
23. Check AC cooling at full speed
24. Check the charging point
25. Check the glove box and it's light,

Thanks friend, I just cancelled Tata Punch booking with Prerna Motors in Bangalore because they refused to let me see the car unless I make complete payment. This after waiting for 45 days and giving them early information that I will to PDI before making payment.

It is quite common with Prerana Motors. I had a similar problem with them in 2008.

As mentioned by others prerana are very reluctant for PDI, which I don't know why, I'd booked my new Nexon, when asked about PDI they were like, why for a new vehicle, but still I m going with PDI no matter what, thank you vey much OP

Car payment should always be done in two parts .
1. Pay only booking amount and down payment for car and don’t pay for Insurance and RTO Registration.
2. After PDI and self satisfaction pay for insurance and registration.
3. PDI shall be done before registration as if after PDI if there is fault in car the car cannot be replaced .

but if you pay down payment they will use that money to register your car. Best is to don't share your documents. They won't be able to register the car 😉
@@IamSpidey007 : Yes, especially if they have any reason to "chipkao" you a bad car, they may even do registration out of their own pocket, knowing that you anyways have to pay for it. Do not share the documents with them. Some dealers ask for multiple documents, at the time of booking itself, or sometime before the car delivery is to be done. Ask them what do they need each document for, and don't take "some paperwork" as an answer.
When I went to book a car in nearby Hyundai showroom, they wanted all the documents, PAN, and what not at the time of booking itself. I suspect that they would have started financing process on their own, causing a hard fetch on my credit report, and hence pushing "now the fetch has been done, and will anyways be recorded in your CIBIL, so it's better you take the loan from them only"

We purchased a Tata Nexon a couple of months back in West Bengal The dealer called for PDI on 23rd April and requested for full payment. We did. The vehicle was delivered to us on 5th May. The dealer cited RTO concerns, HSRP readiness, insurance etc etc. He won't budge , saying they have strict orders not to deliver vehicle without registration no. Entire West Bengal follows it. I felt as if WB was out of India. My sadness was that we had made the downpayment including insurance, but the vehicle was not with us for 10 days.
They told me & I already paid in advance. They will deliver the car on 11th August. Not sure why the rule is different? I am staying in bangalore & they will not provide the bh series.

Important: Tata Motors provides a booklet of sorts pre-delivery that has everything a customer needs to know pre-delivery. This booklet also has two pages with a checklist of items for pre-delivery inspection. This is extremely helpful for the customer wanting to to proper PDI. But here’s the catch-the auto dealer may or may not give you this booklet when you book your car and might give it to you on the day of the delivery. This is different from the user manual that comes with the car. Please ask for it well in advance and acquaint yourself with PDI checklist/process. I am assuming other car companies also have a similar book for evey customer at the time of booking the car. Do avail it well in advance guys. It’s extremely useful.

The contents of the booklet are as follows: (1) Order booking and commitment form (2) Required documents checklist (3) Car financing support (4) Tata Motors genuine accessories order form (5) Payment receipts and other forms (6) Vehicle delivery process (7) Vehicle delivery checklist (8) RTO-registration process (9) Value care maintenance program (10) Extended warranty (11) Vehicle delivery demo (12) Service promises and offerings (13) the guide for good driving. ...The cover of the booklet says “Welcome to the Tata Motors family”. Vehicle delivery checklist is about PDI.

You should check accidental car by removing rubber of all the doors of car as well as by removing boot rubber

Cars today are highly technology driven. Checklist cannot do justice. I recenely bought my Tata Harrier and I hired Zekardo PDI to conduct the PDI for my new car. They found issues with my car not only in sensor but also discovered that the car had a meter rollback since dealer did not have demo car so they had used my car as demo car. I cancelled my car and then got a new car after that. They again came to do the PDI and when it got cleared by them, i bought the car. Highly recommended to every car buyer. THey are the only company to conduct PDI for new car in India.
