That outro, as played here starting around 3:53 , is one of the most melodic and lyrical pieces of rock guitar I have ever heard. Schenker's tone and execution makes this performance exceptionally tasty listening. Simon Phillips and the bass player are a solid rhythm section,as well.
This. So many songs on this album, like looking for love, michael always has this sense of where each note fits and complements the chord structure and rhythm.
What I love about Michael Schenkers playing style. He has the right balance of rythem and melody..He's not by far the fastest but that's not what makes you sound great...it's a great sound he makes..
There were a lot of brilliant guitar players in the 70's and 80's, most notably Eddy, Randy, Vai, Satriani, Page, Malmsteen and so on. But if I'm being honest, none of them is such a brilliant rock musician as Schenker. Schenker never loses touch with the song, the song is always in the foreground, his guitar playing is not pure acrobatics and he is a brilliant composer. For me he is the greatest rock musician of all time. It is a pity that he only received the recognition he deserved in expert circles.
Schenker is only the 1 guy that I never bored for listening. I like EVH, Randy, Hendrix, Page, Clapton, Jeff beck blabla.... but, seriously, I can't listen them again and again. But, Schenker, man, I don't care about how many times he played the same notes, never tired of listening his playing.
寒蝉王 Tell you what, I agree with you. I might throw Ritchie Blackmore in as well but that's about it. This guy is as good as it gets. Keep rocking, bro.
Rory Gallagher and Roy Buchanan are both worth checking out as far as guitars go. Rory's got quite the catalog of tunes. Roy was blues, beyond Clapton and beck.
Ha the glory starts at 2:39 praise the Lord Jesus Christ.. i just went to church..some of yall might not understand my comment..if u dont understand it then u need to get born again..Amen.
I've been a fan of Michael's since early UFO lights out album and met him and his girlfriend at the time BACK Stage in San Antonio Texas at a show I was running Sound For. Then 10 years later in Arizona a a club called the Rock my friend owned. We partied and he let me sing Rock Bottom as he played his Electric Gutair unplugged.....I'll never forget that night....
This is how U Roooocckkkk!! This Music is seductive Metal! This is what you feel in your heart and soul pure metal!! Hell Yeahhh!! The Michael Schenker Group Rocks!! Listen to Him make love to that guitar!! Yeahhhh!

I saw 3:10 this concert at the House of Blues in LA, which no longer exists anymore. It was one of the most awesome live performances I ever witnessed.
Always good to see jazz drummer Simon Phillips in the mix .From Jeff Beck, The Who, Judas Priest, Tears for Fears, Gary Moore the pop industry knows he is the go-to percussionist.
I would like to see Michael playing with his son Tyson more. Tyson is awesome too!!!!! Could you imagine having a guitar god like Michael as your dad. That’s fricken awesome

This is the best lineup for the "Modern" MSG Group !! Musicians that are playing on Michael's level, and who are seasoned !! I say this respectfully and in a funny way, but I literally can't think of another Rock musician that changes their lineup as frequently as most people change their socks lol :) ♫
It is Simon Phillips on drums. He played on Mike's first solo album and has been one of London's most respected session drummers for over 30 years. Schenker is no dummy. Whether Simon Phillips, Ted McKenna, or the late great Cozy Powell, he has always had a premier drummer
Schenker, toe is and 2asvthe greatest all time sleeper -guitarist. He just never sought 5he attention or even a fraction of 5he notoriety that he should. . At least not souch on the media. Well respected by his peers but for me he slipped through the cracks, as 9 never really discover him in depth until like, within the last 10 years. I guess the important thing is, I did. He's top rated in my eyes. Pretty low key humble dude who speaks acts and expresses through his music. A real technician/great teacher
Michael schenker is an absolutely brilliant guitarist one of the best no doubt !!!
Yeah... Who does not love Michae's playing...?? A huge inspiration for a lot of us...!! ❤🤘

Michael Schenker IS God.
Michael Schenker isn't God.But he's pretty darn close.😊
I love this song ....... one of the best songs from MSG, i want to back to 1980 - 2000.
Agreed -- one of his very best. Still love it.
The very first MSG song I ever heard, 34 years later it still gives me chills when I hear that intro.
same for me!
@@salmonfire .......me too...I had a cassette copy ....off roomates vinyl

Michael Schenker the best rockguitarist ever he's so good my favorite 🤘

What I love about Michael Schenkers playing style. He has the right balance of rythem and melody..He's not by far the fastest but that's not what makes you sound great...it's a great sound he makes..
Só much felling . Genius.
That SOLO by Mr Schenker.
The GOAT.
Michael Schenker. Total legend.
Probably the best or most influential rock guitarist to tickle the fretboard.
Tickle...heheh
Who's on keys ?
The guitar solo on this song is forever memorable
Schenker is a smooth player ..he never misses a note..
Definitely the best guitarist who has passion and talent. He is my all time favorite
Yes
Let's not forget Jimmy Page..
I agree with you!
All guitarists have talent and passion

We’ll said & agreed!!
Ask Kirk Hammett what He thinks of Shenker
Love the song, cheers for your post ❤👍👍👍
Reals out the CRESCENDO Briantly!
You're always surrounded by the best talented musicians...you all are Blessed, P.T.L ♡◆♡
His playing here is pure perfection. That outro sends chills.
And Simon Philips on drums again. The undisputed master.
From the first snare hit you know some shit is goin down
Love that intro roll he does
I saw this round inn a shitty fucking club in Concord California. Schenker had just started playing Dean guitars. It smoked. We were five feet away
Michael stayed afterwards and signed all our shit too.
Granted...one of the best
Revisiting this vid - the brilliance of Schenker, backed up by the mighty Simon Phillips, Chris Glenn etc...I didn't want it to end. Amazing.
its not chris glenn in this video
@@izzimichaels2892 You're correct - I must've been thinking about the original version when I wrote this; surprised I didn't mention Cozy Powell👍
@@izzimichaels2892 It's Neil Murray.

Its 10 years later 2020 and Schenker is still rockin
The only problem with the live version of this song is that the solo ends. This is one of those solos that should go on forever
Like on and on!
A year late, but totally agree .dude plays clean as it gets
I love the seagulls
On and on andon

Jeff Beck is one of the rare few that doesn't get old & in a rut..& still putting out fresh guitar work today

Man o’ man do I remember those days. Gary’s voice is so distinct. RIP Cozy. RIP Paul. Thanks for the great music and memories.

Great tight drums whoa. Schenker's bursts are really stunning, gets a great tone

God I remember when Michael was in the Scorpions, and then UFO. But to me nothing tops the work he did with Gary Barden in the early MSG years.
Schenkmeister is amazing. Gets better with age.
