The original version with Graham Bonnet on vocals is more powerful but also this version with Gary Barden is good enough, i love this song and the whole album, i think it was the best vocal performance of Graham Bonnet ever, Michael Schenker was fantastic in the seventies and eighties, the bass, drums and the minimal keyboards are superb, thanks for sharing.
@@ImprovGuitarJamsIt’s a subjective call. They’re both equally brilliant but very different in style, approach and personality. I’d definitely rather have Uli for a neighbor.
Graham's vocals are unsurpassed, but Gary was great himself. Nice version. I've been recently re-discovering MSG, saw them twice in the 80's with this line-up. the late, great Ted McKenna on drums. Schenker was always one of the best rock guitarists out there.
Saw MSG on this tour in Dublin. Myself and my best pal met Michael and the group at his hotel where all of our vinyls were signed. Amazing times. Fabulous guitarist. Great band. Great memories.
Michael's best album. The production is spot on, very raw. Graham's version is so much more gritty than Gary's. Desert Song, Samauri & Rock You To The Ground are 3 of the top 10 MSG songs.
Personally prefer Graham’s vocal on this - a lot more powerful. The rhythm section of Chris and Ted is what makes this track so powerful. The perfect pairing.
I think it’s the same track, but I think they erased Graham and put Gary’s vocal over it , like Sabbath did with Ray Gillen and Tony Martin on The Eternal Idol
@@donaldroberts7242 I agree 100% - it's the same backing track. Graham's vocals are incredible on this track and indeed on the whole album. Nothing against Gary - I remember him from his old days with Fraser Nash but at their collective best - Graham was better.
Graham bonnet was out of the band by the time they did this video from Assault Attack,a contributing factor I heard being that he got intoxicated for their debut gig upon the release of Assault Attack in 1982!!!!!
Pat Travers got blackballed by KSJO in San Jose California.Way back when.He is out spoken. But he brought it .That station was too Liberal run by lush. They eventually were bought by Mexicans broadcasters.
Yes I had never heard of them till this year and I'm 37. I'm coming across new bands all the time I had never heard of because they were never famous or heard of and I find it very strange because they are brilliant. Some of them are better than the ones that actually got famous 😮
Ok let me start off by saying this is my favorite M S G album Graham Bonnet is a monster on it ok But for them to have Gary rerecord the vocals for the videos was brilliant he sounds fucking awesome and he remained I don't know what happened after the second album who knows great band
Saved for posterity. Graham had, ahem, left and Gary was back, so....they had to put out something from that great, (Musicians) album. And that's cool. Too bad Chrysalis was not behind them on Built to Destroy where they actually had 2 radio friendly hit singles. But this is great.

Decent alternatif for sure, but of course, with Bonnet it simply went extra miles. A lot of them. Too bad he lost his temper with stupid fans, and acted like a stupid jerk. But well, in the end, we got some excellent Alcatrazz albums, which were much more than just a consolation prize....
Okay, so this is a crazy story but I wasn't boarding school in upstate New York and the Berkshire mountains on the border of Massachusetts and I left a day early and the night early went to Boston on a bus straight to New York City. I got mocked that night. Ozzy Osbourne's plane went down in Florida and Randy road start. He died so now I'm stuck. I got mugged I go to some house in Manhattan. Unbelievable and I have my suitcase in 42nd Street bus station. The worst place in New York City. At that time I was 17 years old. Three black guys jumped me. They took all my gold from Saudi Arabia and I threw everything away so they didn't get it. Police found it but I wound up taking a tax to New Jersey. Getting on a plane to Jacksonville, Florida and my friend's parents waited for the next flight. I missed the first one and I was there and Randy Rhodes was dead. I got beat up mugged tonight wound up in some dudes house from South Africa and I told him I'm not gay and beat up and I have no money left even though I did have $1,100 left in my pocket and I woke him up. He drove me to the bus station. I got a Russian taxi. Anyway, we went to the tangerine bowl t-ball in Orlando and Michael shanker group played and instead of Ozzy, Tom Petty came in local from Orlando he f****** he did great but Michael shanker group. That was so awesome and it was with my friend from Saudi Arabia the night before I got mugged wound up in the police station. Never any round out. Ran out all the cops ran out at the shooting and then I was there by myself. They found all the gold that I threw in the park that I got beat up by three black guys. I smashed one in the face. I broke his nose and they took my wallet but I got it back and they got $11 off of me and they ran into the subway so I was gone for one month. Spring break Daytona Beach, Florida from boarding school and upstate New York and Lenox Massachusetts where my roommate's father was a famous author Stefan Laurent. He was a Hitler prisoner so anyway when I was going home there was a massive storm so I had to stand extra week. They didn't know if they should call my parents in Saudi Arabia. They were so scared and the police in New York called the boarding school and said we found all this gold. But we have no idea where Charles Joseph boy says well. I was in Daytona and the blizzard. I told him I got to come back away later
I loved Graham but Gary will forever hit home with me. Gary is such an amazing singer and so was Graham

Greatest german rock guitarist ever!!!!!!!!
I always like Uli Jon Roth more
I really like both of them! However, I give the edge to Uli!
after Uli Roth
Not just German

Master Michael Schenker.😊❤🎉
Wish they Would Have Done This Video with Cozy And Graham🖤🖤
この曲アルバムはグラハムの唄だけど、「ダンサー」みたいなグラハムならではの絶唱ではない哀愁感漂う曲だからバーデンにも合うね❗️

I love many songs with Gary Barden, but this one is a Bonnet-Masterpiece!
Michael's best album. The production is spot on, very raw. Graham's version is so much more gritty than Gary's. Desert Song, Samauri & Rock You To The Ground are 3 of the top 10 MSG songs.
I agree, love this album

Gary barden nailed it anyway😊

Gary was weak live. Graham solid as a rock
I like Gary !!!! I remember The Rock Will Never Die Tour 84!!!! Michael Schenker always shines!!!! ❤
Graham Bonnet is a freak of nature and can't be duplicated. But glad to see quality footage of MSG.
I bought this album when it first came out, and thrushed it, along with the first 2
Graham’s version kills this one.
Much! Much better! Indeed…
Gary does a great job here, but Bonnet took it next level.
Um dos maiores guitarrista que o mundo tem 🇧🇷👏
Отличное выступление и состав👍
Divine riffing by The Great MS
The SAHB guys for me were the best line up who played with Michael
You said a mouthful
Really, me either. That's CLASSIC ROCK AND ROLL 😂
この曲のバーデン・バージョンは初めて聞いた。グラハムも良いけどこれも悪くない。
Great song!!!
A perfect heavy metal.
Great to see Amazing Ted and Chris what a sound.
Cool to hear it with Gary Barden on vocals.(Graham Bonnet on the original)
You can subscribe on the channel.
Making flying Vs cool since forever
Awesome
McKena is big drummer of contemporary .
こうやって改めて聞くと、やっぱり世界中の色々なハードロックグループに多大な影響を与えたグループでありギタリストですね、カッコイイ!

Top job by the chick vocalist & she's smokin hot too, Too Late is an awesome gem of a song, good to hear someone take it on.👍🤘
The Stone in love solos have to be my favourite of all time
Colosal!!!
Canção muito bem feita. 👏👏👏👏
I forgot how kick ass this song was. Nice to revisit my old school listenings.
この頃のマイケルシェンカー好きだった。
Gary was the best singer in MSG...even though he wasn't the original singer of this tune.
I still don't know why the local classic rock station does not play MSG or UFO.
It's unusual why they don't play UFO and Michal schanker..I constantly introduce them to my friends.
Pat Travers got blackballed by KSJO in San Jose California.Way back when.He is out spoken. But he brought it .That station was too Liberal run by lush. They eventually were bought by Mexicans broadcasters.

Cause the station fucken sucks!
Gary can't hold a candle to Graham's vocals on this.
He can hit the notes, but no one can replicate Graham's unique "attempting to spit a lung" vocal tone. One of the all time greats.
How have I never heard this version? I've heard Graham sing on it 100 times. And who's that on keys?
Andy Nye. I saw this line up on this tour, as Graham was out, In Dublin 🇮🇪. Derek St. Holmes was on rhythm guitar that night.
I believe it's Paul Raymond
great tune
Great song!
Sounds like love to love. Like stuff off the lights out album

サムネを見てあれ?と思ったけどVoに違和感が全くない。
でも他コメにもあるけど、アルカトラスが演奏しいても違和感がない名曲。
The versions of the songs with Gary are available on some cd??? Or just in this videos?
Good question
❤excelente
Alcatraz live version w/Malmsteen is better I believe 😊

le problème avec MS c'est qu'il sait attirer les meilleurs mais personne ne reste.
Un peu comme David Coverdale.
good song and good singer : graham Bonnet the original
What's up with Gary's moose knuckle? How many socks can he smuggle down there?
Give me Robin Mcauley on this tract for maximum effect
Why do you not super Chris Glen and Simon
Gary Barden was a wo nderfull singer at the time..
Sorry but the original version with Graham is so much better!! More power and range!!

Grahams version is better but Gary is the voice of MSG for me
Good song but it sounds like a song off MSG Greatest hits ASSAULT ATTACK
Tell Gary Barton not to do this it's sacrolijjus
General Hospital
What?????
But general hospital has a real guitar solo.
Yeah, I have to agree that Graham is better. He had more vocal ranges.
