Michael Schenker has been and always will be one of the best lead guitar players of all time. Up there with Satriani,Vai and Van Halen. Underrated deserves more accolades.
EUROPE claims UFO had a super huge influence on their band, when Schenker was at the helm in the late 70's with LIGHTS OUT and OBESSION LP's. Lots love those albums and shaped IRON MAIDEN, DEF LEPPARD, TESLA and countless other rock bands in the 70's, 80's and 90's+. Check out LOVE to LOVE by EUROPE that is a great UFO tune, one of my favorite.... for i love to love people. ROCK ON!!

It’s a shame that the Europe guys got so pigeonholed as the “final countdown” band when they are actually all really good musicians and that song is not their best.
I've been to a lot of rock concerts, but I took a punt on going to Schenkerfest in 2018, and I'd never seen anything like his solo. It was unreal - the guy is so melodic. He's also a lot more humourous than you'd expect when he talks to the audience - if he's ever on in a town near you, it's worth going to see him!
I saw Schenker in 1976 in Memphis TN with UFO and RUSH (2112) One bad ass show !! I have listened to Michael ever since. IMHO he is better than many other hard rock players. It is not all about speed. His tone and the best combination of major and minor notes is just the best !! Not to mention the fact that he is not full of himself like many guitar players.
Mike is really down to Earth, jamming with Ratt, Scorpions and Europe, Msg and Ufo. He's a machine. We can't expect less than Germany's finest. Good job. You're one of my favourites for sure Mike!
A friend of mine just got the album Phenomenon by UFO we went to see them at The Marquee Club Wardour St London this was 1974 and I was only 16 I am 61 now and It was Phenomenal (Pardon the pun) what I really remember they did the track Cold Turkey and I never realised at the time how young Michael Schenker was about 17 or 18 I think Great guitar Player one of the best.
UFO were one of Metallica`s fav bands in their early days...Lars always raved about em.......... I grew up on UFO. Drinking beer with girls, driving fast cars...... UFO/AC/DC/Scorpions........Yeah baby!!

So many times, too fucking many times I've been totally bummed out by some wanker who thinks people would rather see crowd shots and lead singers "dancing" around trying not to look like a bump on a log until the vocals come back around. THANK YOU WHOEVER YOU ARE!!! On a separate note, Joey does a helluva job on this song.
I finally got to see Mikey a few years ago in a hole in the wall club in Binghamton NY. Mike and his band didn't get on stage until 10 o'clock .was pretty much up towards the front. They.rocked the house til 12,.. didn't get home till 2 Am and still had to work the next day.. well worth it!!!😃😃😃😃
The first time I heard Slash play I knew he had grown up listening to MS . When Rob from Ratt couldn't play anymore because of his addiction Michael stepped in and played his parts perfectly .
