Ironically most people who drive luxury cars can't afford them either. I've never really worried about impressing others and I look for value for my money. I agree this Invicta is more than a homage, but I wouldn't go so far as to call it an exact copy either. It's not trying to fool anyone. It's not branded as a Rolex. Bought an Invictra Grand Diver in two tone Rose gold 10 years ago.
First signs of wear came after 7 years, but that was just the gold double fading, so even that is pretty impressive. 7 years of doing construction work, digging sewers and doing paver work. Not a single scratch on the crystal, even tho I smash the watch pretty often against concrete, metal and stones. The stainless stell is rock hard and it amazes me how its holding up. I have other watches that is worth much more than my Invicta - but this will always be my everyday watch.

The dive bessel is actually to calculate total bottom time.
Basically you set the 0 at current time when you start your descent and check the elapsed time when you start to go up.
This will allow you then (combined with your pressure gate) to calculate residual Nitrogen in blood and how much you must wait before your next dive. Its now about oxygen in the tank.

RIGHT ON! I have many Invictas. I also have several Rolex, Longines, Casio, Breitling, Seiko (and some that don't immediately come to mind). I buy a watch because I like looking at it on my wrist. If a watch fails to work properly, then I don't like looking at it. So I take a few precautions on buying and wearing watches. I DON'T TAKE ANY WATCH IN THE WATER, no matter the waterproof claims. I don't need to know the time when I'm in the pool, since my cell phone is normally handy (which I also don't take in the water).Perhaps if I were an experienced diver, I would be disappointed with Invicta's dive watches. But then, I wouldn't likely have bought an Invicta watch (or any other watch that isn't generally used by professionals) for diving, or skydiving, or working in construction, or any other profession that would be hard on a timepiece that wasn't specifically made for a specific purpose, by a watchmaker who had a recognized reputation for making such a watch.
My experience, in light of the above, has been positive for the numerous Invicta and inexpensive watches I've purchased because I like the way they look. If I buy a funky twenty dollar watch, and it doesn't work out of the box, or stops working after 6 months of casual use, then I figure, "that's life," and resolve not to buy that brand of watch in the future. Invicta does not fall into that category.. And, IMHO, it's hard for some people to be positive about anything.

Got this watch over 10 years ago. Mine has the Miota 8215 movement. Still runs great and after 10 years (with no servicing) it's running about 4 sec fast a day. I can live with that especially since I have more expensive watches that have just died or run 45 sec slow a day. I really don't care what other people say about my watch. I'm the one who paid for it so I'm the one who gets to decide if its good or bad.

I've had my Invicta pro diver for 2 years and swim with it several times a week, and have done several dives with it. I've never had an issue at all with water. The automatic NH35A in mine is absurdly accurate... better than some of my Swiss watches. The only thing I don't like about mine is that I have the scalloped bezel instead of the coin bezel. But that's a minor quibble. At < $100, this watch is not just a steal, it's grand larceny.

The Invicta NH35A is a cheap, rough made in China CLONE. The parts are assembled in dusty warehouses in Malaysia. You can buy made in Japan NH35A for the price of an entire Invicta watch.
Time accuracy is strictly luck. One of my Invictas is HOPELESSLY bad as a time keeper. The other two are good. My Grand Diver keeps great time.

Finally, an in-depth, unbiased review of the Invicta Pro Diver automatic from an actual consumer. Loved how you called out the idiots that didn't lock down the crown properly. I've owned about a dozen of these Pro Divers. Not all 8926ob's though. I had several different dial colors and bracelet/bezel combination colors to match my wardrobe. Never had issues with any of them. I ended up giving several of them to family members as gifts that preferred automatic watches.
The Seiko has been my primary, almost exclusive go-to since the mid-70's. About 15 years ago I ventured out to other brands; including Invicta about 8-9 years ago.
I had purchased the 8926ob. After wearing it to work a few times, a co-worker called my watch "trailer park trash" for buying that Invicta. He owned a few automatics >$1000. I couldn't resist this. I challenged him to a quality/performance competition. I told him to pick any of his watches (except a Seiko as I owned several at the time and wanted him to use one of the so-called elite brands he had).
He decided to go with his Oris Aquis. Visual and outer structural quality I gave him the nod no arguments. After setting our watches to the time of our work computers (down to the second), we wore the same watches to work every day for a month. In the end, my Invicta gained only 11 seconds more than his Oris. So, he paid an additional $105 per second of accuracy. Granted this was just a desk diver competition but, neither of us were snorkel or scuba divers... which would have been a real quality test.
Unless you are working with explosives or a military operation, I don't see paying that much for a few seconds that important.

Nobody uses a dive watch for remaining dive time, if even for the fact that you might have a leak and not know it. The time tells you nothing then. That's what the PSI gauge is for. :) They are carried to show dive time for No Decompression Limits.
