@@VersedNJ that is true ... the Sinn might work but the Junghans is too Bauhaus and would be a giveaway. Different crowd so I don't think he would be recognized however.
My grandpa fell subject to invicta watches on QVC. I don’t have the heart tell him he’s really not getting a deal because they make him so happy. He lights up when I compliment him on his watch. He could get such a better watch for the money but if he’s happy I’m happy 🤷🏻♂️
Invicta was the first watch I owned that cost me more than a pack of smokes.. Not saying a hell of a lot for Invicta is it? To Invicta's credit it did last longer than a pack of smokes by a few days..
Unless you see a watch as a future investment...if it looks good and works too, who cares? The current gen is rapidly being out-priced in being able to afford these real luxury watches and the market is dwindling.
I’ll be honest, my first watch I bought when starting my collecting was an Invicta mechanical. Was i on a cruise and fell for the “hot deal watch sale”? Yup. A $40 Vintage Mechanical with a brown strap, thinking it was a stellar deal (and not knowing much about invicta). Howeverrrrr….it gets more compliments than my any of the top tier watches in my collection 5 years later. Learned 2 lessons. 1) Almost everyone lies about price. 2) Almost no one has a clue about watch brands outside of enthusiasts😅 love the video, keep up the fantastic channel 🙌🏼
My gateway drug was Stauer. Similar concept to Invicta if you ask me. I still own 2 Stauer watches. One I recently sold was my most complimented watch. It was a piece of junk, but it looked nice. I received a compliment almost every time I wore it. But with my Omega, zero compliments haha
my first watch was a 47mm invicta. it was not the pro diver or sub styled at all I got asked many times if it was a rolex. made me feel real good for a 15 year old, but later on I realized what your second point. So I now buy cartier. jewelry brand, everyone knows em, or so I thought. Got asked if it was a citizen. I didn't even know citizen made square watches lol.
I mean for 40 bucks you can't really fault a mechanical watch too much even if it's an Invicta, the issue is when they charge 150-200 and more for a 10 buck watch.
I bet someone actually does collect them. I know a guy who's in his 60s and probably has 20 Invictas similar to the ones in the video. The people who are into them are REALLY into them...
I used to own a jewelry store. We sold Rolex, Tag Heuer, Oris, and Seiko watches, we also did watch cleaning and repair. I was often blown away by some of the watches people would bring in to have repaired. We would get watches from QVC and other shopping networks, and when I would tell people that their watch would cost more to repair than what they paid for it, they would go off on myself or my help like it was our fault they bought a piece of junk. And, those big watches with either a Japanese or Chinese quart movement, when you open the case back, you find a tiny cheap movement held in place by a huge chunk of plastic. But, people think they’re getting a great deal when they buy from their television channels. Go figure.
@@davidcrandall4958 They are not using those types of movements enough. Also, they’ve built a negative reputation for their quality (lower quality builds and gaudy oversized monstrosities of watches) and business practices (overpriced unrealistic MSRP’s and copycats beyond what a homage is) so it will be very hard for Invicta to bounce back from that reputation among the watch enthusiast community. Common people that don’t know much about watches don’t really know better and they are the #1 type of people that Invicta sells many of their watches to. That’s your average 52mm watch guy you see around.
Actually, I went on a cruise with my parents when I was younger and believe it or not, they did sell watches and other jewelry. My parents did end up buying me an invicta! It was a “gold” pro diver, and I’m assuming it was like a 38mm because I remember it was a smaller fit. I actually really liked it, it was automatic. I lost it somewhere along the line but actually looked for it a few years ago. It was cool for what it was, a sub lookalike, and younger me loved it!
I sold my submariner and bought 180 of these beauties! The Chap ... Zeus Magnum (88 MM case and 42 MM thick) I jumped into the pool and sunk to the bottom!
No, you wouldn’t sink wearing them. Quite the opposite, they’re mostly plastic and emptiness inside, so I guess your buoyancy will actually get even better in them, and they’ll keep you afloat. :)
@@drctrs they stainless steel and some are even plated bro. Come on dude.... Don't be mad because people can get the same look and enjoyment at a fraction of the price you pay. LMAO. ask him how many of them he broke? I mean I wouldn't take them in the water.... but lets not exaggerate lol

Teddy, before my 95 year old mother-in-law went into a nursing home, she lived alone and was taken to the cleaners by QVC. The last month before she had her heart attack, they got to her for a little over $16,000.00, no exaggeration. We audited her accounts and in the prior two years she paid $209,750.00, to QVC. They were sending two of everything and naturally billing for two of everything.
That had nothing to do with QVC,that was just someone who was a horrible consumer..period..If you paid that much to ANY company and were not wealthy yourself as a result, that's called a sucker.
Why was she not supervised with her spending at that age? Unfortunately, I heard from a co-worker whose Mom was the same way, she would sit in front of the TV and call the sales line just to talk to a live person for interaction and then be sold all sorts of stuff. My co-worker would intercept the packages and send them back and try to refund the money. His Mom had dementia and didn't even remember that she has ordered anything or had made these calls. Very sad.
I remember my cousin telling me about his Invicta watch and how it was super expensive and limited. I had a one of my GShocks on, that cost a bit more than his "Luxury" piece. Asked to see it and noticed the second hand was missing. It was loose under the crystal. Lol. I asked if he paid extra for the liberated indicator? He didn't think it was too funny. Few weeks later he shows up with a new watch, GShock this time. Points for that. Said it was super expensive again... it was the 5600E... (no hate, I have two 😃) and that it was crush proof. Told him. No it isn't. But close. Lol. He proceeds to take it off his wrist, set it on the work bench (we were at work) and beat it with a hammer. Naturally, he cracked it open. I just turned around and walked off. Didn't want to rub anything in. Ended up giving him one of my other Casios on the condition that he treat it like a watch and not peacock it.
How many will get these watches thereby setting them up as the watch styles they like and future customers ... teen styles aren't usually subtle and they are big into thing Invicta promotes 'street style' i.e. the Invicta Graffiti, Celebrities i.e. Shaquille O'neal and Jason Taylor, DC Comics and related super hero movies i.e. the Joker and Batman and Aquaman watches and Sports i.e. their line of NFL team watches.
Just a little reality check. I have a very extensive watch collection. Including Rolex, Mavado, Bulova, Omega, etc. The absolute best brand I own is Aragon. The second best brand I own is Invicta. The reason being is that they keep the best time. And I'm pretty sure that that is the point. My daily watch is an Aragon 50mm anti Gravity that has not lost a second in 2 years. Oh and I only own mechanical automatics. So to each his own, but to ridicule someone who knows a good watch when the see one is just plain ignorant.
@@glumfish6862 have you checked out Aragon ( formerly Android)? The absolute best watch for the money. My daily watch is an Aragon 50mm Anti Gravity automatic. It has not lost a second of time since I've been wearing it. Absolutely magnificent watch. I'm not a big fan of big clunky watches, but about 3 years ago I purchased an Aragon Silver Jet dive watch. It weighs almost a pound. But you get used to the weight and it also never loses time. Aragon performs better than my $50k Rolex.
My dad got actually a pretty good deal on one of those shows ( in Germany tho)! He got an Nautec NoLimit for under 100€ with an automatic movement! Back then that was a lot of money for us but after 10 years the watch still functions perfectly even though he was working in a very phisical job for 8 of those 10 years! What makes it even better is that we finally can afford buying more expensive things cause our financial situation got a bit better! A few months ago (after my leaving cert) my dad took me to a proper watch shop and told me that he wants to choose one for me! I got an Zeppelin with an eta automatic inside! And then just a few days ago when I came back for Xmas I discovered your channel here and took him to a watchshop! We baught the Tissot Gentlemen Powermatic 80 great watch! Now Iam hooked again 😅 Everytime my dad and I now take a phonecall it’s about our new watches 😂
12 years ago, I worked for a guy who lived for this stuff. It was a classic car dealership, and the owner was a big watch collector. He claimed to own Rolex, Breitling, and several other well known brands, but he never wore them. He also claimed to have over 400 Invicta watches. I’m not sure about the other brands, but I believe his Invicta claim, because every day he wore a different gaudy, massive Invicta watch. When he got a new Invicta (a couple times per month) he would wear it in and talk about how revolutionary or exclusive it was. He would literally take the day off (therefore not opening his business and causing me to stay home, not work, and not get paid) so he could watch QVC to get the latest Invicta release. I finally quit because of this. But he used to tell me all the time to go on QVC to get an Invicta watch because of what a great deal they were. I’m so glad that I never listened to him. The real head scratcher for me was when he claimed that his Invictas were better quality than his Rolex watches. I get that Rolex has its fair share of haters, but as a watch lover you can’t honestly make me believe that an Invicta will the better watch. Sadly, my old boss was incredibly vain, and put so much emphasis on outward appearances. We’re talking 2010 here when the classic and muscle car markets were hurting. His business was hurting. He lived in a condo with his wife and daughter which wasn’t in a very safe neighborhood. He would come to work crying about how he wanted to buy a house but couldn’t afford one, but there would be a shiny new 60mm Invicta on his wrist. His wife never failed to remind him daily how he “blew” money he won in a lawsuit to buy a business instead of buying a house in Franklin Lakes - by the way, I’ve been to gorgeous homes in Franklin Lakes; beautiful homes with a long, gated driveway full of luxury cars, but when you walk inside there were folding tables and folding chairs… that would be my boss and his wife… outward appearances - Anyway, he’d come to work in his BMW, Invicta watch, and designer leather briefcase. His wife would drive in some time between 12pm and 3pm in her Mercedes with her designer hand bag, designer sunglasses, and $10 Starbucks drink. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this… unless you have a failing business and are financially struggling. In hindsight, Invicta was the perfect watch for him. Flashy on the outside, but what’s going on under the hood?
To think that Invicta’s only worth is it’s outside value is dismissing perhaps their greatest asset: value. Invicta does for $100 what so many watch companies do for $500-$1000 do yet that’s a reason not to like them? Talk about outward appearances.
The perfect way to start your day: Having breakfast while watching a new fantastic Teddy + reading this top-notch comment - I almost choked on my coffee!
After my parents passed away I had to go through their house and box up and give away a bunch of stuff. According to their credit card statements, they had $20,000+ in QVC purchases in the last 3 years of their lives. Every POS do-dad on the channel was squirreled away as a "keep sake" WOW. I was angry and disappointed at the same time. I hate QVC and all shopping channels for the way the prey on the uninformed and weak.
Its there money. Your just mad because that's twenty grand they could have left you. Then you could buy that boat that you use six times a year and don't keep clean. Am I talking about my stupid brother here? Maybe
These are soft sell advertisements designed to seduce the elderly and vulnerable in our communities. The companies that orchestrate these pernicious and sly through the back door approach do so as part of a well designed, yet cynical, strategy, of separating folks from their money. We all must be forever vigilant in protecting ourselves and our vulnerable, often elderly loved ones, from such people.
Haha, that's the impression I too got from the post. The parents probably passed comfortable that they were leaving posterity some nice heirlooms, but the son just sees it and thinks "THIS is what I'm getting?!"
Well, at least with the Bolt Zeus watch you can use it as a weapon if you're getting mugged. My wife bought me a couple of Invicta watches some years ago and they hold sentimental value if nothing else. It was the thought that counted.
OMG! First time seeing this segment of your channel, I LOVE IT! My wife and I watch QVC after a hard day with a bottle of Merlot and it's heavenly! You have to keep this segment up please! After 16 hours of mandatory overtime wearing body armor, and dealing with the nicest human beings on earth, I come home to this gem. I'm in HEAVEN! Why is she sitting on a gaming chair good lord!
You have to admire the bullshitting skills on display here. Watching them, I get that feeling like I did in college when I'd show up unprepared on a day I needed to give a presentation, except they're able to just roll with it. I have to admit, I'm impressed.
Ya know what is really hilarious? Everyone talking about the invicta watches on QVC. The invicta watches were not on QVC. The invicta watches were on ShopHQ that is partly owned by the owner of Invicta. Pay attention.
I was going to say the same thing! If you are going to criticize at least get the correct station. I have watched QVC for quite while and they have NEVER sold Invicta. I agree they make some of the ugliest watches ever. But ShopHQ has the exclusive on these watches. I would think that would be the first thing a reporter would know!
@@AUXdrone -- Gotta take exception to your statement. What I do find funny, is that you also can find Invicta at your neighborly Costco. If you are going to talk about channels, do a little bit of research. Teddy did admit that he's not watched much. I have watched the Invicta shows, strictly so I can see how gaudy someone can mass product something. It is funny how sometimes they provide a 5-watch dive case with a single watch -- someone actually would admit to owning more than ONE Invicta ??
@@ripjones5294 exactly what research would i need to do regarding my statement of broadcast/cable tv junk emporiums? That thing is so big it makes my Garmin Instinct Solar look razor-thin. And that Garmin is chunky, but this Bolt Zeus Magnum is a King Chunkster next to that. Or so I would imagine.
I honestly have to say that this invicta... as big and hideous as it may look is actually pretty well designed... it really looks interesting with that clear case. But also looks like it came with a happy meal but so do richard mille watches🤷♂️
I know your bag on Invicta, a lot, over the years I have made thousands of dollars on Invicta years ago. Their movements used to have a Valjoux, ETA and I would get these watches for literally pennies and then later sell them for hundreds of dollars. I would sell the Valjoux for anywhere from seven to $1200, some of your ETA I would repurpose them in other watch cases and do custom builds, so yes you can make money off in invicta
I am kinda of a serious collector and I got 4 Invictas and they're all automatic chronographs except for one that's a Sellita SW500. The problem with these videos is that they always show the ugliest and wackiest watches, which is kinda the majority of these watches. But nobody wants to hear about the rare automatic chronograph invictas.
My grandmother was a QVC addict. After my grandparents died, I inherited my Grandfather's collection of inexpensive watches. There were a couple of Invicta's in there that she probably got for him off of QVC.
ShopHQ was like crack to me at one time. Invicta is the gateway drug for many. Much larger collector community then you think. My tastes and collection have evolved a lot but my collection addiction all started there!
With all the videos you've made to help me buy a Christmas present for family members I like, it's kinda nice to have a watch buying guide video for all the the family members that low-key annoy the crap out of me...
I enjoy my Invicta collection, if luxury watches weren’t so far out of my budget I would own one. That said, The Zeus Bolt is just a weird watch to review anyway lol
@@TheTransitmtl Unfortunately Orient, Citizen and Seiko do not offer divers for small wrists. I can get an Invicta Pro Diver in 38mm or 40mm. Yes, it looks like a submariner knock off. But on the plus side, it comes with an Automatic Seiko movement and in unique colors like brown. Imo a good deal for under 100 dollars
@@TheTransitmtl with that said, why? why “pay a little more” they’re all submariner knock offs….all of them. price doesn’t make them better or worse. It’s hilarious, seiko even whores out their movements to anyone who wants it, yet Invicta gets shit on over it. Seiko also buys generic bands with hollow end links and throws them on…and gets away with it. Is it because you’d rather it not say invicta on the side so people have a harder time distinguishing it from the more expensive brand? For instance, Timex is a cheap watch. They throw in a nh35 or a miyota and all of a sudden it’s a $300-400 watch? At least Invicta is keeping their actual price real even though we all know they bump up their MSRP. IMO, the reason invicta bumps up their msrp is to bring it in line with the watches with similar aspects and movements that get away with the higher price for some reason. Like I said, at least you don’t have to actually spend the money for the same watch. Finally, Invicta makes some huge watches, but people buy them. No one is making anyone buy them, if anything question the person that likes them rather then the company that fills their need

I agree that most Invicta watches are excessive...but I have an Invicta Pro Diver and it is really nice: SS, 40 mm copy of a Sub, with a Seiko NH35 movement and a price of about $85. It seem to be a good deal to me.

I have several Invicta watches. One has been a daily wear watch. For about 12 years. Keeps perfect time hadn't shown any wear as if yet. So just because you don't like them. Doesn't mean they are bad watches
I almost give HSN and QVC a pass because they rarely sell men's watches and when they do the hosts know nothing about them. But ShopHQ bills itself as the foremost TV watch seller. But 99% of all watches they present are Invictas. And most current Invictas are hideous. Many years ago they actually had presenters who spoke of watch construction, movements water resistance and the like. And there were a great variety of vendors. And please show me ONE person who ever paid retail for a watch! If you're selling it for $199, don't tell me it's a $3,000 watch. It's a $199 watch! Sorry but I do get wound up on this subject.
Sad thing is, Shop HQ on their app/site offers great watches like Tissot, Hamilton, Mido, Rado, Seiko, Glycine, Alpina, Gevril, Franck Muller etc. but you never see these watches on the channel because Invicta invested millions into Shop HQ and signed an exclusivity contract with them and all you see in the channel are invictas. So lots of I unknowledgeable people are not seeing those great brands and are only seeing those invictas.
Go look at Q&Q watches. They use miyota (citizen) guts but they have ones that look like a G shock that needs to go on a diet. Fairly cheap. I had a great run with a Q&Q in the early 2000s for work. Definitely waterproof for a good price. They have a few nice dress watches too.
Laugh at them, but they probably sold thousands of "Chaps" watches during the segment. If you don't know the QVC audience, it is not about the product or specs, it is about the relationship between the the announcer and the viewer. These announcers have usually been on for many years and to the audience, they are more than a talking head, but a trusted "friend". When I worked for a mobile phone maker, we used to dump cheap phones on the channel, add a car charger and a case and they would sell out. One time we sold 10k phones in 15 minutes. We put on a salesman, who was there to talk specs, but it was the announcer who sold it to their audience.
I found a chronograph style watch at Target for $20. Tried the buttons, and they don't do anything. So too a closer loo at the dial, and the hand on the subdials were just glued on, didn't do a single thing. Guess i could have guesed that if I had noticed the Features list on the box: Adjustable Strap. Wow, what a feature!
I will admit that I purchased a Submariner automatic copy from Invicta 6 or 7 years ago. I paid ~$100.00 for it. It’s been an OK watch and actually keeps pretty good time. However, I wish I would have done a little more research before I bought the watch. I should taken my time and done some research. But, you don’t know till you know. I’m sure that’s how they get people to buy these. Until I started REALLY looking into watches did I discover that you can purchase a nice, quality watch like an Orient, Seiko, etc. for just a little more money. I’m not sure what the real watch industry could do to better educate consumers. I just think there is a general societal thought that quality watches cost thousands of dollars and are only for the super rich. Teddy, thanks for your videos and for your knowledge about the industry.
I love HSC. My friend and I were watching HSC or QVC years back and they were selling a sauce pan. The lid had holes in it that could be opened and closed. It wasn't simply a pot with a lid..... it was a "cooking system". There is something ASMR about it. They caress the object, sweep their hands across, and extol the virtues for an extended period.
Every time I watch your videos I get my eyes opened. The Invictas were beyond ugly, and the second watch was IMO a ladies watch all day. I'm happy to say that Invicta and Bulova started my collection on a cruise. But I'll never over pay of another Invicta. lol As always love the content keep em coming.
Thanks for your video! I did enjoy watching it! You may be surprised, but to be honest, as a Japanese, I do have some Seiko, Citizen and Orient watches as well as Rolex and Omega, AND some Invicta! Knowing mystic nature of Invicta and unrealistic retail prices, I just wanted try some myself and bought some. Well, they are extremely heavy beyond imagination and their belts are vulnerable, but yet still I simply enjoy wearing them. It’s like working out by just wearing a watch! Deceiving people is one thing that shouldn’t be allowed, but pleasing people providing people with toys might be different. Thanks again!
My grandma used to watch these kinds of shows and she’d get suckered by thinking “ohhh my grandson would love that!” And boom, here I am opening up a birthday present with the latest “car window air conditioner” or a small vacuum that plugs into a car’s power outlet, etc.
Being someone who buys and wears Invicta I can honestly say not everything they make is good looking or worth buying. Stick with their 40-46mm size watches depending on your preference and try not to go over that $399 mark if you can avoid it. One of my favorite Invicta’s is the Ocean Master with the Seiko NE88 that I bought around $300.
I'd have to agree. I bought 8 of them of rally, aviator, pro and grand diver design. Different designs and colors. Bought one hydromax in rose gold and stainless steel that's 52 mm . A bit big on my skinny wrists but I love the quality of all .😁
I bought a random skeletonized automatic watch years ago where they said the MSRP was 900 dollars but I bought it for 150 dollars. Today, that feels overpriced.
I saw their ridiculous overpriced MSRP’s and I went online to see if there was anyone anywhere selling those watches for those prices and nowhere was and the prices across the internet was what the “discounted price” was on Shop HQ. It’s all a big lie. This contributed to the hate that Invicta receives.
i remember going on a cruise and they almost exclusively had invicta watches a lot of people were getting them...but they also had unlimited free alcohol so
Watch buyer's are like car buyer's. People go out and buy bullshit cars daily. Who wants a new Malibu LoL 😂. For fusion LoL Garbage Jeep products people love them lol
Teddy, the first and third videos were QVC, the second and fourth were Shop HQ. The two channels are owned by two different companies and are competitors. Shop HQ was heavily invested in with millions of dollars by Invicta Watch Group and Shop HQ signed an exclusivity contract with Invicta. That’s why that channel constantly features Invicta watches and mostly nothing else. If you look on Shop HQ’s site/app you can see they do offer great watch brands such as Tissot, Hamilton, Rado, Mido, Glycine, Seiko, Bulova, Citizen, Franck Muller, Gevril and Alpina. But you will never see any of these on TV because of Invicta’s contract and huge investment into Shop HQ and this influences common people that are not watch enthusiasts not being exposed to these great brands we love and instead exposed highly to the monstrosities offered by Invicta. Another thing, I’ve watched Shop HQ before and and because they are on air so much selling huge invictas, the sales hosts on the show (especially the women) make comments about 40mm watches as “a watch for the ladies” or “this would look good with a dress” even when the watch is not branded as a ladies watch. That’s because of the oversized Invicta watch culture that has infected all the hosts on that network.
You know that on ebay you can get a watch that's got a cigarette lighter built in? At least 6 sellers of them but it's one design. Type in unique mens watches and you'll see.
After having only been aware of the invicta pro diver, I'm finally starting to understand why invicta as a brand gets so much hate. Those are straight up some of the worst watch designs I've ever seen.
My exact same sentiment. Initially I only knew about the Invicta Pro Diver and at least I got it in automatic. I was happy but ignorant. Now I know its lume is inadequate and I should have spent more to get more. Oh well at least now I have a Wise on order. Can't wait.
The subeye on my Bolt Magnum made from Anatomic ignited after listening to her for 60 seconds. But luckly I'm on a Invicta Cruise and I jumped into the ocean to put out the fire.
I met one dude who could pull off the Invicta Bolt Zeus Magnum. He was about 6 ft 4 in and 400 pounds. I had on my vostok and after trying it on, he said he loved how elegant it was, and popped open his phone and ordered one right off Amazon as I stood there. Which shows that even when you're actually that big, having a Slimmer watch is kind of nice
Just shows why quantity over quality can bring enjoyment to people. There is a fossil series I want to try and collect all the models for which they don't make anymore. People sell them with non original crowns and bracelets and pass them off as new. Do I care they are only $200 watches, that are half fake, that won't go up in value probably? Nope. I'm absolutely in love with the dials and unique cases and what they represent. highly underappreciated. Some of these "watch collectors" sound more like watch investors lol
@@cooloutacI wore the heck out of a couple of fossils. Back when they had the lifetime and later 11-year warranty? The first one died from what I remember, but it was a plated bronze case and became quite worn looking. The second one (an auto) I really like the looks of but it quit working. The third one (water resistant) leaked water in about 5 feet of water. After that I decided no more fossils for me. 😢
@@aradoran same exact things happen to people with more expensive watches bud. You are supposed to service them every 5 years or replace battery. The advantage a Rolex has is that watch makers have resources to get parts for them. But you tell me what watch brand has better quality for 200 bucks? Because high end namebrand watches at that price point are actually the worst which tells me you are only paying for the name. And does looks not matter at all to you?
@@jtlast9600 In my nation it is illegal to pretend to give a discount from an original price that the item has never been for sale at. For the example here it means that QVC(not Invicta) would have had to have sold several of the watch(or prove that they made a real effort to sell) at MSRP before discounting it.
The owner of invicta is a part owner of ShopHQ. I own 11 Invicta watches and have only had one issue with a Subaqua Noma 3 that stopped running the day I got it. I returned it to Evine ( shopHQ ) and had my money back in a week. Now 90% of my watches are automatic. My daily watch is an Aragon 50mm Anti Gravity that has not lost a second in the 2 years that I've owned it.
Invicta also still makes some watches with swiss sellita movements You should also check out the Grand Diver line. They come in 38mm,40mm and up They are mostly all water resistant to 300 meters and contain NH95s made by Seiko!
Teddy, the blue Ocean Reef was ShopHQ, not QVC. Yes, I've ordered five Invicta (three as gifts) from ShopHQ this holiday season--all actual bargains. Never bought from QVC.
Invicta’s management knows their market very well. The reason they make these gaudy watches is because there’s a big demand for them. It’s typically the ghetto fashion-inspired community, but it’s a huge demographic.
I get it but I kind of wanna own one just so that I can understand how good the rest of my collection is and I don’t really have expensive stuff but what I do have is good. You can’t understand good until you’ve had bad
My first mechanical watch was a Invicta Russian diver skeleton, got ripped off on a cruise at 16 years old. BUT it's what got me into learning about watches and collecting quality watches.
That Bolt Zeus is so shocking I think I may be able to sue for the damage it's done to my aesthetic sense. The only thing I'd think if I saw it from across the room is, 'Please don't let it come any closer!'
The Teddy Baldassarre Cruise ... Teddyfest 2023!!! Meet Courtney, show off your watches ...buy from Teddy's store tax free in International waters ... combine it with Teddy and Courtney's new fragrance channel and some margaritas ... Teddyfest 2023.
I believe ShopHQ has had Bulova on recently - which is a quality company. I do watch these shows occasionally (guilty pleasure like watching the Real Housewives or Big Brother for others) - never bought one (because of informative online youtube videos on what to look out for - specs - when buying watches as well as learning of all the alternatives out there). A lot of whether the price they are asking is worth it or not depends on the specs and details - crystal, bracelet, movement etc.
I honestly thought I’d be criticising this vid for being yet another boring bashing of Invicta but I’ll admit you’re very reasonable & fair. You even, like me, felt bad for the presenters for having to push these to make a living. I actually like Invicta’s pro diver but that Invicta shown is so bad. Who wants that? Again, I feel bad for those presenters.

Is your grandpa from SouthPark.
You should get him something like a Seiko or an Orient as a gift.
Well, if it makes him happy, its totally worth the money!

Go figure.
They are using NH95s now!
Invicta has used sellita automatic movements in some models for a while.Has anybody bought one of those into your. Shop?
Same
I do the same at my uncle's shop, ironically some people DO still want them fixed for sentimental reasons

Didn't you sue?
Omg, total cringe.
He must've been mortified when he realized he broke his own G-Shock....poor thing 😭😭😭

Now Iam hooked again 😅
Everytime my dad and I now take a phonecall it’s about our new watches 😂
QVC doesn’t sell invicta
A high quality Swiss made Rhonda automatic movement is what’s going on in the inside. Or at least that is what is going on in my Invicta.
To think that Invicta’s only worth is it’s outside value is dismissing perhaps their greatest asset: value. Invicta does for $100 what so many watch companies do for $500-$1000 do yet that’s a reason not to like them? Talk about outward appearances.

Seiko also buys generic bands with hollow end links and throws them on…and gets away with it.
Me: And I thought G-shocks were thick.
Invictia: hold my beer. 🤣
At least g shocks have functionality and purposely built. They dont look bad compared to Invictas crappy built watches.
have you seen a jacob and co astronomia or some richard milles?
Never buy a 20 dollar watch, unless it's a casio
Link please 😊
@@amistosophoto This was probably over 25 years ago
It is comforting in a way, which is ironically uncomfortable when you realize it's manipulation to get you to buy things.
I've never seen him have so much fun before. Love this series of videos.
Next episode, Ted goes undercover on the Invicta Cruise
Yes, this needs to happen!!!
👍👍👍👍👍
If Jerome was wearing a Vincero he wouldn’t be made fun of by women so often
or a fillip loretti for that matter
I’ll stick with real watches, not Invicta thank you
I'd have to agree. I bought 8 of them of rally, aviator, pro and grand diver design. Different designs and colors. Bought one hydromax in rose gold and stainless steel that's 52 mm .
A bit big on my skinny wrists but I love the quality of all .😁
I can't stop laughing at the 52mm "Magnum". It's so ridiculous. It's like it could be an SNL sketch.
Last call on the Zeus! I'm devastated thinking I might miss out
Invicta: Perfect for smaller wrists 😂
Lol yeah they are known for their dainty, underspoken pieces.
yea and the "aqua blue" was being marketed for women and looked like a football player could wear it
i remember going on a cruise and they almost exclusively had invicta watches a lot of people were getting them...but they also had unlimited free alcohol so
🤣🤣🤣
Lots of production... and all consignment on the ships. All the crap that doesn’t sell goes to the cruises on consignment
Did you get a free Invicta when you bought a bottle?
Watch buyer's are like car buyer's. People go out and buy bullshit cars daily. Who wants a new Malibu LoL 😂. For fusion LoL Garbage Jeep products people love them lol
@@karlsenula9495 id rather get a free bottle if i ever got an invicta bc trust me i would need it
Teddy, the first and third videos were QVC, the second and fourth were Shop HQ.
I have 3 invecta watches, I love them. Got them for 50 each on ebay. No complaints.
Actually, I would like to give a former boss a watch that ignites!
😂😂😂
The ex-boss: 👁👄👁
Let it go
@@NLWerner Yes, ma'am.
You know that on ebay you can get a watch that's got a cigarette lighter built in? At least 6 sellers of them but it's one design. Type in unique mens watches and you'll see.
I just can't unsee that 52mm Invicta. That was straight out of a horror movie.
Right??? Absolutely disgusting. Anyone who bought that should be ashamed.
The International Space Station can't unsee the 52 mm monstrosity.
Right? I like the Pro Divers quite a bit but seeing that thing made me wanna hurl
After having only been aware of the invicta pro diver, I'm finally starting to understand why invicta as a brand gets so much hate. Those are straight up some of the worst watch designs I've ever seen.
Same here, these "wannabe Richard Mille watches" look horrible. But i own a pro diver, paid $63 for it and i love it.
My exact same sentiment. Initially I only knew about the Invicta Pro Diver and at least I got it in automatic. I was happy but ignorant. Now I know its lume is inadequate and I should have spent more to get more. Oh well at least now I have a Wise on order. Can't wait.
Needed a laugh today so I came back to see that Bolt Zeus Magnum. Never disappoints.
Is that the Invicta " Golden Tuna Can"? XD It's carpal tunnel syndrom garanteed with that monster on the wrist!
Dude Invicta has a certain strategy to sell. At least they are not shameless as others asking crazy prices for something worth 1oo times less.
Yeah but that strategy is borderline illegal in many countries.
@@ivanlagrossemoule it's illegal to set a high MSRP price and sell for cheaper? Alright then
@@ivanlagrossemoule how thick is that border???
@@jtlast9600 In my nation it is illegal to pretend to give a discount from an original price that the item has never been for sale at. For the example here it means that QVC(not Invicta) would have had to have sold several of the watch(or prove that they made a real effort to sell) at MSRP before discounting it.
@@rustknuckleirongut8107 Invicta themselves have basically everything on their website selling at huge discounts
the genuine "oh goodness" at 3:28 was just amazing
THat invicta also doubles as a camping cook set/ telescope, compass tackimeter
The "Zeus Bolt" looks like a larger barnacle with smaller barnacles attached to it.
I cannot breathe I'm laughing so much.
The crab from Moana would love it
😆😆😆
😂😂😂 you’re right, they should’ve called it “The Poseidon”
I love Shop HQ. They also sell Seiko, Bulova, Pre owned Rolex and my beautiful Invicta watches.
They actually sell all major brands but Invicta buys the airtime
The owner of invicta is a part owner of ShopHQ. I own 11 Invicta watches and have only had one issue with a Subaqua Noma 3 that stopped running the day I got it. I returned it to Evine ( shopHQ ) and had my money back in a week. Now 90% of my watches are automatic. My daily watch is an Aragon 50mm Anti Gravity that has not lost a second in the 2 years that I've owned it.
Awesome
@@thomasrocker7408 nope
That was kind of a train wreck.
Teddy you are too kind. That was a sh*t show.
Invicta also still makes some watches with swiss sellita movements You should also check out the Grand Diver line. They come in 38mm,40mm and up They are mostly all water resistant to 300 meters and contain NH95s made by Seiko!
And they are still trash.
don’t bother. their nose is in the air so they can’t see you
The Bolt Zeus Magnum is the Family Truckster of watches. Teddy, please, please, please do one of these every month. Comedy gold here!
"Why you gotta do Jerome like that?!" 😂😂😂
$83: "That seems a little bit much, honestly." LOL!!
Teddy, the blue Ocean Reef was ShopHQ, not QVC. Yes, I've ordered five Invicta (three as gifts) from ShopHQ this holiday season--all actual bargains. Never bought from QVC.
Try the authorized sellers on ebay. Even cheaper. Wait a couple of months and they go on sale.
@@OffGridInvestor Good tip. I check multiple sources before clicking the place order button. If eBay is the least expensive, I buy from them.
Invicta’s management knows their market very well. The reason they make these gaudy watches is because there’s a big demand for them. It’s typically the ghetto fashion-inspired community, but it’s a huge demographic.
The “Invicta Cruise” is any Carnival Cruise. The yellow boxes take up half the jewelry store!
"I wish I didn't care this much when I got on camera". Teddy, you sir, are hilarious
The 52mm Invicta is absolutely the tackiest piece I’ve ever seen!!
Makes me want to throw up
I get it but I kind of wanna own one just so that I can understand how good the rest of my collection is and I don’t really have expensive stuff but what I do have is good. You can’t understand good until you’ve had bad

@@alfredklek I think it’s pregnant and giving birth
A lot of their styles are 52mm some even larger ... want to see uglier watches look for the Graffiti and the Joker from Invicta.
We need to get Jerome on the show
My first mechanical watch was a Invicta Russian diver skeleton, got ripped off on a cruise at 16 years old. BUT it's what got me into learning about watches and collecting quality watches.
That Bolt Zeus is so shocking I think I may be able to sue for the damage it's done to my aesthetic sense. The only thing I'd think if I saw it from across the room is, 'Please don't let it come any closer!'
I only made it through the whole video without throwing up thanks to a Longines ad that went on in the middle...
“Bolt Zeus Magnum!” I’m crying...
lol I love Invictas but those things are hideos... lolol
I need that gold Chaps watch, QVC hit me up hahaha xD

I believe ShopHQ has had Bulova on recently - which is a quality company.
I do watch these shows occasionally (guilty pleasure like watching the Real Housewives or Big Brother for others) - never bought one (because of informative online youtube videos on what to look out for - specs - when buying watches as well as learning of all the alternatives out there).
A lot of whether the price they are asking is worth it or not depends on the specs and details - crystal, bracelet, movement etc.
I do as well, especially the Invicta ones,.like watching a slow moving train wreck 🤣
The Invicta guy is Ryan and yes he is an Invicta rep and he is pretty good at selling these watched. Also Invicta is only sold through shopHQ
I’ve seen them sold at SAMS Club also. Have to admit I enjoy watching their show.
And some dude down a laneway!
My watch stopped working and when I took it in for service the watchmaker told me it was a simple case of my subeye igniting.
This was golden. I had absolutely no idea this was a thing. Absolutely nuts. But hey that Invicta cruise sounds really cool. Good time ey??
