Dany Anchia - I think those stores you listed would be a waste of time; been there and always disappointed. Kohls has been surprising; plenty of nice choices. When graduation time rolls around I always end up at Kohls to pick up a Citizen Eco drive for a gift; the graduates love them.
A few months ago, my mum gave me a budget of $800 to buy a watch as a present and also for me to wear everyday. When I entered the watch shop, I wasn't sure of what brand to start with. The salesman was kind enough to show me a few Seiko watches. In the end, my mum bought me Seiko Kinetic Perpetual Snp1. At first, I wasn't convinced with the Seiko my mum bought slowly I grew to love it. That's what sparked my interest in buying watches as a hobby with also influenced from my friend who also loved watches. Currently, I have been saving money to buy either a Tudor Royal or Tudor Pelagos. Always wanted a watch that looks similar and features to Rolex but still have good quality and material wise.
Just toke delivery of a V.C. Overseas in blue from the same boutique in Miami you and Kevin visited and purchased said watch. This is the second watch I purchased from Bettina at that location. She understands what customer service is all about. She could instruct Rolex A.D's what service is. Santa came twice this month. My wife surprised me with a Omega Seamaster in black. Boy I have a great Angel that I married!
Great video sir!! I really enjoy how relatable you are in your videos. From discussing 6 figure price points to 20.00 range. I feel entertained and informed but not excluded by your presentations. In the military, on the police department and now in corrections, I need a light, comfortable, watch with great illumination and very durable but not more than 100.00. You have shown a few options here. Thank you so much. Looking forward to more. Maybe a reasonably priced review of watches meeting these parameters too ?
Looking for watches at mainstream stores is kind of a guilty pleasure... I live in a bit of a watch wasteland, so it's a treat just to see low-end Seikos and Citizens at Kohl's and other department stores- otherwise it's just Timex and Casio everywhere. Strangely, the Walmarts around me have much better selections than Target.
So for my birthday back in October I purchased a Tissot PRC 200 automatic chronograph. I absolutely love it. From watching your videos I know its way too big for your style... especially the thickness... I hit a milestone age and wanted to make a statement... it makes a statement! I paid close to $1000... can't afford a Rolex.... but I love my Tissot
I received a seiko cocktail time ssa343j1 recently as a 25th anniversary gift. Really like it. Ssa343 automatic mechanical rounds out my collection of a battery powered quartz Pulsar and seiko perpetual kinetic I received for our 10th anniversary. I’m enjoying your videos and enthusiasm for watches!
Next time, I'd recommend a outlet upscale department store like a Nordstrom Rack or Off Saks Fifth Avenue. Probably better choices than Macy's and better prices.
I like how you can appreciate Martha’s customer service even though you sell way more expensive watches. You also recognise the smaller man. You have a good attitude guy.
It depends on what store you go to. Every store has a different selection, and it could be that Seiko was edited out of their particular assortment. I work for the company and NEVER heard anything about a Seiko deal that went bad, and we are NEVER told to lie to our customers. We have a large selection of Seiko in my store and neighboring stores in our district. Citizen, Bulova, Tissot and G Shock as well. Competitive prices when on sale (which is often). I recently purchased a Seiko Monster and a Save the Ocean Turtle in my store which shows that the selection is anything but "run of the mill"...
@@carlcampbell6827 Yes, they were my go to in my kiddie and teenage years. But, all the JC Penney stores in my state have gone out of business. I don't buy clothes online, because I prefer to see and try them on in person. 😊
My local mall is currently dying. I remember when I was a child, the jewelry stores in the mall all had Movado, Rolex, etc. Roughly 5 years ago, there was a huge robbery that happened in the middle of broad daylight where some thugs stole over $100k of Rolex watches. Ever since then, you only see Citizen or Bulova watches. The anchor stores like Macy's and JC Penny have a bigger selection, including Seiko, but they still didn't have any of the big brands you want to see.
In the vid it sounds like it was like that: Employee: "You can't film here." He: "okay." Employee: "And now leave!" He: "(What?) Okay..." That's "kicked out" and not just "they can't film". And in the vids I saw so far He doesn't look like a guy who would lie about it or be angry that he could not film here longer and leave because of that.
Casio worldtimer is an insane watch for the money!! A worldtimer for 20 bucks with 10 yr battery life, a map and some James Bond heritage!!! Love my steel version
Why dont you use a hidden camera instead of walking in like a film production. You're always going to get kicked out of a corporate run store that way.
I finally bought my first Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. It's the current iteration with the date window @ 6 o clock. 41mm, Blue dial with lighter blue Seamaster lettering below the logo, and matching blue at the 15,30,45 on the outer ring and the tip of the second hand is matching blue as well with the not so attractive blue rubber strap. I then immediately ordered and just received the dark silver and navy blue striped NATO strap from Omega's site. The combo is absolutely gorgeous. Merry Christmas ... to ME :) Edit: The only knock I have, and I felt is worth adding is... the lume is not what I expected for a watch in this price range. It could be much better. If that doesn't bother you, get this watch. It's really a one-watch collection.
Without a doubt for me if I had to pick a favourite from this video I would go with the “DressKX” that piece looks so elegant! The 100m of water resistance is really nice too compared to the usual 30m that older seiko 5’s have.
Suggestions I have a budget of $2,000 for my first notable watch. Do I buy something new like a tag heuer or go with something that is pre-owned but higher end?
@@TeddyBaldassarre yeah I’ve never understood stores or even dealers for luxury products who are against filming because at the end of the day you’re a paying customer. Great video Teddy!

For a beater watch I would recommend a Gshock or any vintage style Casio illuminator. I would not recommend a smart watch due to it being obsolete in a few years and constantly distracting you. You can also get 3-4 new or 5-6 lightly used Gshock watches for the price of one apple watch. You can start a bloody collection mate.
I did the same shop yesterday! I was surprised by Dillard’s! They have a contract with Hamilton so it’s easy to spend that 500 dollars on a khaki king. I chose the Casioak all black but went to a high end jewellers independent owned in Kansas City.
Is there like an outlet store around your state that you can go to and shop? I am curious to see what models of Timex, Citizens, Seikos, etc. that they have.
Hey Teddy. The other cool thing about the Casio World Time? It's very similar to a Casio featured in the James Bond movie Octopussy! Bond uses it to track the Faberge egg throughout the movie.
Macy's is not long for this world. They treat me like dirt, never have anyone to help and no one in the store. My everyday watch is a Citizen Eco drive Promaster, and I love it, except it doesnt charge well in the dark winter days in Oregon. I also love Drinks and an SKX is high on my list for another affordable watch. I hate to admit I don't own an automatic. Love your videos Teddy. Merry Christmas!
I think too many people walking around with cameras simply becomes distracting and probably generates customer complaints. Since it's a store they have a right to ask you not to do that. If we don't like it, we can shop somewhere else.
I bought a Timex Weekender at Target several years ago. It had a blue NATO strap that went well with everything. I wore that watch everyday for the whole summer.

Dany Anchia - I think those stores you listed would be a waste of time; been there and always disappointed. Kohls has been surprising; plenty of nice choices. When graduation time rolls around I always end up at Kohls to pick up a Citizen Eco drive for a gift; the graduates love them.
Thank you for making high quality videos!Love MAMACOO ’s watches
I'm sure you could've found a Spongebob or Frozen watch at Dollar General 🤣. Another great video Teddy!
God!!! MAMACOO Who would have thought those gorgeous watches go for that low!!!
I havent even seen the video yet, but I expect another one in a year
A few months ago, my mum gave me a budget of $800 to buy a watch as a present and also for me to wear everyday.
I'm in my last year of my Bachelor right now and thinking about rewarding myself with a Seiko Prospex Alpinist SPB119J1.
The best watches acquired in your collection are the ones tied with celebratory memories. So go for it!
Do it man, I awarded myself too when I graduated and every time I look at my watch I am so happy. Even though it is not an "expensive" piece.
Don't give it a second though, get it now before you have someone else telling you how to spend your money.
Did the same last year for my bachelor, got an Oris ProPilot 41mm from CreationWatches for almost half retail :)
do it nice and simple
A lifetime warranty from JC Pennys. Wow. Not exactly a long term prospect.
Believe it or not, JC Penny is still honoring a lifetime battery they sold in the mid 70s
O.K. You redeemed yourself with the plug for Marcia. Lol
Great video! Ive got my Casio world time on the wrist right now, ready to get a hiding over the weekend.
AMZWATCH Stunning watches stunning video you are special i love it keep it up
Looking for watches at mainstream stores is kind of a guilty pleasure...
Teddy: "They have no supply"
Macy's: "We can't have you filming here"
Teddy: "Ok. bye as opposed to buy"
I’m trying to save for the Tudor BB36!
Great Watch, worth every penny
Great Lakes Mall! I didn't realize you were in my neck of the woods! Love the vids!
Next time, I'd recommend a outlet upscale department store like a Nordstrom Rack or Off Saks Fifth Avenue. Probably better choices than Macy's and better prices.
3:46 there is a shop named D|©ks
It was nice to see a JC Penney Store. I thought they closed all their stores. 🤔
oldies geek - Pennys has always been a real nice place to shop over the years; they are worth supporting.
I love how RUclipsrs say they are getting “kicked out” when an employee tells them they can’t film
Often times they get told not to film, and then told to leave. I was taking photos for my sister at the mall once and got asked to leave for "filming"
@@marcusborderlands6177 yeah years ago I was with a group of friends in a Staples and we were just recording for fun and they escorted us out.
Yeah if f’ing crazy how uptight these places can be. What’s the big deal as long as you’re not surreptitiously filming individuals?
In the vid it sounds like it was like that:
Employee: "You can't film here."
He: "okay."
Employee: "And now leave!"
He: "(What?) Okay..."
That's "kicked out" and not just "they can't film". And in the vids I saw so far He doesn't look like a guy who would lie about it or be angry that he could not film here longer and leave because of that.
beautiful video. thanks for sharing this info for an ordinary joe and enthusiast who likes watches and can learn to understand this thing.
My wishlist is the JLC reverso.
Although that doesn't mean I'll get it lol
I was thinking about one of these! Beautiful watch but I'm disappointed to hear about the lume. Good selection though!
Without a doubt for me if I had to pick a favourite from this video I would go with the “DressKX” that piece looks so elegant! The 100m of water resistance is really nice too compared to the usual 30m that older seiko 5’s have.
I got a orient kano dive watch on amazon for £153.00 uk.black dial ,dark red bezel automatic hacking and 200m water resistant.
I bought a G-Shock at Walmart yesterday as a gift for a relative!
Suggestions I have a budget of $2,000 for my first notable watch. Do I buy something new like a tag heuer or go with something that is pre-owned but higher end?
People who don’t let cameras in stores suck
We did have a mirrorless camera with a big lens so I get it. But I was ready to spend money so jokes on them 😂
@@TeddyBaldassarre yeah I’ve never understood stores or even dealers for luxury products who are against filming because at the end of the day you’re a paying customer. Great video Teddy!
@@alcapony5412 maybe some robbery prevention? So you can‘t film where everything is and plan a route. But yeah, when he explain the reason they could doublecheck it, sucks..
Obvious thing to do was for them to ask why you have the camera and them check you out on their smart phone before kicking you out.
I've been in Macys, is this what it takes to actually get someones attention, so they can actually help you.
Good job, Teddy. Liked your sense of humor on this expedition.
Next year, do the same thing but shop these stores online and see what you can come up with for $500.
Keep up the great content and happy holidays Teddy!

I'm so early that he's actually still filming the video.
I did the same shop yesterday! I was surprised by Dillard’s! They have a contract with Hamilton so it’s easy to spend that 500 dollars on a khaki king. I chose the Casioak all black but went to a high end jewellers independent owned in Kansas City.
"We spent around $500 exactly"
Teddy 2021
Is there like an outlet store around your state that you can go to and shop? I am curious to see what models of Timex, Citizens, Seikos, etc. that they have.
Hey Teddy. The other cool thing about the Casio World Time? It's very similar to a Casio featured in the James Bond movie Octopussy! Bond uses it to track the Faberge egg throughout the movie.
Often nicknamed the Casio Royal isn't it?
That was a Seiko G757 Sports 100. I used to have one! (I thought it was really ugly).
“I can’t have you filming in the store.” But the store can film and record you on 20 different hidden store cameras
That Seiko is a stunner, love the gold against the black. Very nice look.
Geez, it’s been two years already? Yikes, my sense of time is whack, thanks covid
What the heck is with all the "yOu cAN't ReCOrd iN HeRe" 🙄
But the store can have cameras watching and filming the customers 😑
SJW flexing
I think too many people walking around with cameras simply becomes distracting and probably generates customer complaints. Since it's a store they have a right to ask you not to do that. If we don't like it, we can shop somewhere else.
They probably thought he was mask hunting. Looking to drop the dime on stores not enforcing the mask.
Couldn’t you just be discreet? Record with a cell phone. How would they know your not just playing with your phone?
I bought a Timex Weekender at Target several years ago. It had a blue NATO strap that went well with everything. I wore that watch everyday for the whole summer.
