Here the engine is almost drowning in the rich gasoline. In addition, in the winter months the GS had a plastic cover for the grille with a few openings to allow the engine to warm up more quickly. Im Prinzip schönes Fzg mit sehr gut Fahreigenschaften. Aber der Rost war eine Katastrophe, das Starten funktionierte nur im Sommer gut. Die auf dem Abgasrohr unter dem Verteiler montierte "Heizbirne" hatte beim Kaltstart keinen Effekt. Die Startorgelei endete erst nach Umrüsten auf Transistorzündung.

This car is fantastic. Mine a 1015 1975 started immediately with 50cm snow over it , but the grey smoke filled the air . Winter 1983.

I had friends and families with GS in the 70's and 80's: when the car was sleeping in winter outside starting and warming was a longer story .....
but this wan is not that ones, this is how it shoud work a Citraen gs.
