It is our fault that we like Warcraft 3 RoC/TFT over reforged which were forced even upon those who didn't bough it.
I agree, that's insulting to be honest. They are making it appear that it was the customer's fault for not being contented on a product "that delivered as promised". They are implying that regardless of the game's outcome, the customers are to blame for not liking it.

They've got a bit too much of that DNA in there, since they've each iteration of Warcraft from 2 on is the result of Blizzard raping a Warcraft iteration to make a baby. From there, they rape that offspring to make the next iteration. So, yeah, it's their DNA alright. A bit too much of it to be healthy.
For me, one of the most disheartening things about this trend is that it takes away from all the honest work put in by artists, writers, composers and programmers for these games. Getting into an industry meant to showcase their talents, only to have their hard work overshadowed by shady business practices. So saddening :(

There are even customers saying they locked campaigns from the original and made them only accessible on Reforged like Rexxar’s and the prologue missions.

Wait, what? I can't play online with the original version anymore? Well, I can't say I'm surprised, really. Other game companies did the same thing with older games in their series such as Halo, Gears of War, Call of Duty, and so on. Later both Halo and Gears were re-released as a collection and were available to play online again......but ONLY from the collector's pack and the most recent games. From a business standpoint, it's brilliant: they can keep reselling older games that people already own for a boosted price than what the games are worth (yes, they update the graphics and fixed some bugs) PURELY because people want to play the old maps again with people like they used to.
@@WorldWalker128 The moment you update your old Warcraft (even if you did not get the new one) it gets updated and removes many features the old one had. The only way to play the old game is to not update it or reinstall it with the original CD.

It is called Corporate greed. When a developer goes public they only care about money and CHINA has more players than the US. As a result, China has a high profit probability. Likewise, Call of DUTY and MADDEN and FIFA show that most gamers are IDIOTS and will buy anything, it seems. FIFA seems to be the same game year after year and EA make BILLIONS on it... Every Year! Call of Duty is virtually the same game year after year and every year it breaks records and sells for BILLIONS. Maybe if most players dont buy games then we wont be in the problem. However, most gamers buy based on HYPE and pre-order. I am sometimes guilty of this too.. However, I have not pre-ordered a game in over a year. Who cares if i buy it a DAY late, after I see the game on reviews and on twitch just to make sure. Most Developers only care about MONEY and investors... not about you. You are just a dollar sign.

Bethesda's pretty much Dark Maul. Really good at being evil; killed a few, but people don't really care about them anymore. Then you have EA Games as Darth Plaguous; the legend who's done it for years but nobody knows how they got away with it. The Rockstar Games as Kylo Ren. They're evil in terms of their methods but not quite enough to be considered pure evil. And Epic Games... Jar Jar all the way. Everyone thinks they're stupid but underneath their goofy appearance of Fortnite, lies a much darker evil. Then finally Ubisoft as General Grevious. Pretty evil to cancel series and still evil to make pachinko/slot machines for profit; but not a sith level to be as bad as many of the others, despite being fully capable of the same evil.
Unfortunately, Activision is viewed as an economically good stock to invest in because they make dirty amounts of money off annual games releases and extra monetization.
I can't find the clip but it there was one with an interview talking about ATVI (the stock abbreviation for activision-blizzard) and it was just a jumbled mess. Something about I don't like Battleground Stocks I like Battleground Games.
Stocks depend on meeting their profit forecasts, a lot of companies like EA and Activision made a lot of profit the last few years but as they didn't sell as many units or make as much income as they told their investors the stock price went down.
Only to those who aren't paying attention to the games market. Activision has 4 viable IPs left: Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch. Nothing else Activision-Blizzard has done in the last few years has lived up to sales expectations and there isn't really anything new in the pipe to make up the difference. The company is NOT healthy.
Its not just that though, I had a convo with an American I game with, I tried to explain why having epic game store exclusives was a bad thing, how it would lead to price hikes, missing content etc, but he just wouldn't have it. Thick as pig shit.

We will see but I don't have a lot of faith in that either. WoW: Shadowlands? After the writing in BfA? My excitement for a WoW expansion is quite low. I say that as a fan of WoW.

I never bought it to begin with. I've learned the hard way to NOT buy remakes until months after release to get as much outside input first. And frankly, cutscene and graphic updates didn't interest me for that game in the first place. I play strategy games for the challenge and story of the world, not to look at pretty pictures.
Last week they had to bring in a “fixer” from Bioshock Infinite for Diablo 4. Makes you wonder about the shitshow D4 must be right now they have to beg a guy who worked primarily on single player action rpgs to fix D4.

It is called Corporate greed. When a developer goes public they only care about money and CHINA has more players than the US. As a result, China has a high profit probability. Likewise, Call of DUTY and MADDEN and FIFA show that most gamers are IDIOTS and will buy anything, it seems. FIFA seems to be the same game year after year and EA make BILLIONS on it... Every Year! Call of Duty is virtually the same game year after year and every year it breaks records and sells for BILLIONS. Maybe if most players dont buy games then we wont be in the problem. However, most gamers buy based on HYPE and pre-order. I am sometimes guilty of this too.. However, I have not pre-ordered a game in over a year. Who cares if i buy it a DAY late, after I see the game on reviews and on twitch just to make sure. Most Developers only care about MONEY and investors... not about you. You are just a dollar sign.

Stocks depend on meeting their profit forecasts, a lot of companies like EA and Activision made a lot of profit the last few years but as they didn't sell as many units or make as much income as they told their investors the stock price went down.
Only to those who aren't paying attention to the games market. Activision has 4 viable IPs left: Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch. Nothing else Activision-Blizzard has done in the last few years has lived up to sales expectations and there isn't really anything new in the pipe to make up the difference. People have been using their disc copies to do clean installs of Warcraft 3 classic and circumvent bnet. :)
That said after reforged I have no real hope for Overwatch 2. Diablo IV? We will see but I don't have a lot of faith in that either. WoW: Shadowlands? After the writing in BfA? My excitement for a WoW expansion is quite low. I say that as a fan of WoW.

I never bought it to begin with. I've learned the hard way to NOT buy remakes until months after release to get as much outside input first. And frankly, cutscene and graphic updates didn't interest me for that game in the first place. I play strategy games for the challenge and story of the world, not to look at pretty pictures.
