What's funny is that for a basketball game trailer, there wasn't any basketball gameplay. They were more excited to gamble than to actually play basketball.

It’s amazing how well the statement “history repeats itself” holds true in this situation gaming almost completely destroyed itself in the years leading up to 1983 cause game publishers kept on releasing cheaper and lower and lower quality games and either keeping the price the same or charging more or spamming them out knowing kids would get there parents to buy them (in essence companies got greedier and greedier until it all collapsed on itself) the collapsing point was ET, NBA2K20 is (if it’s not already the tipping point) a retelling of that story just instead of spamming out cheap games it’s spamming out micro transactions, as I was watching this video I was thinking about how in the past few years there has been less and less games that I have gotten really excited about or games that I could pick up and play for hours without noticing time go by(this could be a product of me growing up but I think it’s both) if this predatory monetization is allowed to continue than gaming will be severely damaged or become something only the elite will enjoy, which is an absolute shame, gaming used to be a place where everyone no matter there race, age (exception estb ratings), economic background (for those can afford to play), could escape the stress of the real world and go to one where were all on the same foot. It used to be in the video game world everyone would start on the same foot and you had to earn everything threw play and nobody was able to pay for an advantage, that was the golden age of gaming which unfortunately will likely never return. I truly do hope more people take notice and act cause gaming even though it’s vilified by a lot of different groups and people does a lot of good for a lot of people and brings them together. Who else is ready for 2019's Worst Games List?
Looking at this video four years later Joe was right and everyone saw it coming. Nothing was done back then and now NBA 2K is charging more money with less content, except content that revolves around monetization. This year the most expensive 2K ever at $150 plus an increase in monetization with far less content. I've been out since 2k21.
If people buy it they have no incentive to change. Clearly the esrb is corrupt doing jack shit about this. Its literally up to us as consumers to vote with our wallets to push back in some way.

I pretty much only play mygm, so I didn’t pay attention to the myplayer complaints.
Let me list some “new” features in mygm.
1-you have to unlock the “trade finder” option.
2-you have 3 actions per day. If you use all your actions on a given day, you cannot play that days game because playing the game requires an action.
3-you cannot set the difficulty or quarter length for a game.
4-you cannot change a players position.
5-you cannot customize a draft class.
They got me this year. Never again.

Depends on the game, for me. Like Joe said, if the game is free to play, we can talk. I've played lots of free games where I got a ton of enjoyment out of them and am like "Okay, I have a lot of fun here, I can buy 15, 20 bucks worth of dopey hats or alternate costumes or noserings or some shit. Back in my Heroes of the Storm days I spent LOTS of money on skins for characters, as I really enjoyed the game.
Never gonna spend a single dime on a microtransaction for a CHANCE for an item, and never gonna spend a single dime on a Microtransaction in a game that I already fucking BOUGHT.
