    Instead of a glove compartment, they have a radiant heater, one for the passenger and one under the steering wheel for the driver. It works together with the seat heater.
    My guess is that Lexus is waiting for an update, the same as the Toyota BZ4X received before, before you can test it.
    I look forward to your test of the car.

    The Lexus RX is a hugely popular car in North America. The RZ looks a lot like a BEV RX but it is based off the bZ4x, which means even as great as Lexus can screw together a luxury car it is meh as a EV at best. In Canada you can't buy a RZ unless you live in EV friendly province like BC or QC, which kind of shows how much confidence Lexus Canada has about its prospects.

    Toyota announced on its press room it will launch a new AC for the battery from July on. Maybe that’s why they stay mute. Maybe you’ll drive a prototype soon…

      Toyota has been waiting and will be waiting for solid state batteries. I don't expect anything relevant from Toyota soon.

      @@Likr666 "Toyota has been waiting and will be waiting for solid state batteries. I don't expect anything relevant from Toyota soon."
      Are they also waiting for the laws of physics to change so that their other lineups such as hydrogen powered cars finally can become a success? 😅
      But you have a point. The number of people expecting something relevant from this clown company is shrinking fast.

    Yeah I think do the review, because it’s Lexus first ground up EV. Apparently Lexus has updated the buffer situation on the battery so I keen to see it.of course the 1000km challenge is a must.

      Perhaps the naming department has been ordered to come up with the most confusing and least attractive names for electrics, because they couldn´t possibly work or be popular. You can´t contradict the CEO, not in Japan.

    I would like ro see you test this car, particularly keen to see if it's progressed from Chademo to CCS2 charge port, as here in UK the former is still being used on the UX300e (as at the last time I looked).

    • @paultodd9301

      @danielstefanovic2604 why are they persisting with Chademo on cars sold in Europe when CCS2 is the widely accepted standard? The Japanese are just embarrassing themselves with their reluctance to fully get on board with EV's.

    It would be good if you tested it, especially for 1000 km, because you can find extremely different opinions on the Internet - from admiration to extreme negatives. It is more or less known what is wrong with this car, but there are people who really appreciate driving its cheaper siblings (Subaru Solterra or Toyota with a name similar to the names of Elon's children). Fast charging is a particular problem, especially several times during one route - and you always check this during a 1000 km challenge.

    It looks great and that color is amazing! But Toyota EVs suck. So do the German EVs unfortunately. If I’ve learnt anything from years of watching Bjorns videos, it’s that if you want an EV, just get a Tesla (maybe an Xpeng) 😢

    Why call it a luxury Toyota in the thumb? Is there a specific reason around this car? Or are basically all Lexus' luxury Toyota's because the cars are made by the same company?

    • @BSquare1989
      @BSquare1989 3 месяца назад

      They have historically used a lot of carry over parts on the entry and mid range cars. Especially in other markets they would just use different badges.

    • @djoetma
      @djoetma 3 месяца назад

      @@BSquare1989 Is that true about the different badges? I know certain cars share a lot of parts, but different badges like Honda/Acura, I never heard of. Which models are we talking about?
      But the point behind my question is that he doesn't do this with other models, so I wondered if something particular about the RZ was more Toyota than other Lexus'.
      Btw, in case of most cars, the base isn't even shared. The UX shares a basis with the C-HR and is not that much different, same with the LBX which is a Yaris Cross so 'luxury Toyota' makes sense there.
      So is this since it shares a basis with the bZ4X like those cars? Or more like how the ES shares a basis with the Camry but is still a completely different car?
