She'd probably scoff & call me an idiot for saying so, but I always find myself getting very emotional listening to her talk so openly about these absolute low points in her life. She's such an inspiration, & not just for her music. Amazing woman, long may she resist! xxx

In reading three of her books Marianne is just as lovely today as she was yesterday.
Marianne is very intelligent. She make it through he additions and we are lucky to still have her.

I see her as a woman of extraordinary courage who came to grips with the terrible facts of her existence and turned at a critical moment to the light. She is an inspiration to anyone who has ever battled the forces of depression and despair. For someone who was written off as the hopeless addict (against the early image of the golden girl at the top of her game), the hard life finally lost its hold on her soul. Brava. Brava.

Her performance as Marie Antoinette's mother in Sofia Coppola's film about Antoinette was excellent! I've seen her do other good work as an actress, too.

Marianne Faithful was considered extra special when she first came out, a real lady and attractive, her voice special, sad her life was mostly would end up in drugs and her son went to live with her ex, ...she lived while many others died, she is factual about how drugs make her life a living hell, hope all listen, as this was the 60's era of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, drugs are not the way to go in life, and it will not make you happy at all, it is only and escape that the problems are there when you come back to normal again, ......

she was Punk before punk was conceived, holy shit this bitch the influences the sex pistols, her life style, her dark songs and soul was a generation before the punk explosion. She saw the epiphany of hell and walked back. i have fallen for woman like her who i had to walk away from. more vicious lustful with angelic faces that will rip your heart right out. very impressive lady.

She was a bad influence for young girls in that era. A drug addict, loads of money, a waste of space really. Hard working decent people would not want to listen to this saddos nonsense

I think you both need to really think about the things you say. Playing the blame game is juvenile. Marianne was young, impressionable and she made many mistakes. Everyone fucks up, and the fact that she came out of it like she did is a bloody miracle. She made her choices and she survived, and now knows better.
