What of ears?
I am a pancreatic patient. Take a potent pain med thru out the day, zofran for nausea very infrequently, and a small dose of xanax a few times daily.
SO-- I have had a very long lasting cold. Super bad sinus issues, unlike never before... some coughing,... but mostly a runny nose and lots of phlegm coming up, esp in the morning.
...SO,... What about ears????
(Speaking mostly of my right one basically), as it is draining a VERY, VERY TINY BIT, off and on... and ALSO,.... I am getting this BIZARRE “sounding”,

.....like an odd crackling is occurs when using a qtip?
I never have ear wax, by the way. Ears are always super clean...
I’ve just had this very bad (and VERY productive) cold,... with lots of sinus activity
but,... the ears do not hurt at all,
And there is this very odd, new crackling-like sound, when cleaning (say... like right after a shower, especially)... but ANYTIME I place a qtip in there now, it makes that sound....
And, it is almost as if soap or shampoo has dried up inside,.. leaving a layer... but its NOT shampoo. (I have rinsed and rinsed... to no avail)...
And it is not dry...but almost so......
And, what IS wet, is barely so,.... and is almost a sticky discharge,... but again,.. AN EXTREMELY LITTLE AMOUNT that barely wets the tip of a qtip...
THE SOUND is almost like a very thin layer of soap that has dried BUT THIS IS ONLY HOW IT “””SOUNDS””” as I am cleaning my ear...
So yeah.... it only SOUNDS as if something is dried in there... like a layer of something that I’m somehow breaking through with my qtip...but there is only this extremely small amount of liquid...
NOTHING DRY OR CRACKLY IS ON THE QTIP, OR COMES OUT...
Its only this very small amount (incredibly small amount) of that wet, sticky stuff... IT IS SO ODD
One day, I had a incredibly tiny pin-sized dotting of blood but that was the only time thats ever occurred ever....
And all of this began approx 2 & 1/2 weeks ago as I have have a horrid cold with lots of mucus coming up, a runny nose, sometimes runny eyes...
But not often with the eyes...
And I did have a fever at the beginning of my cold, but not since that 1st day.... everything else appears to be getting better except this odd ear thing...
It almost sounds like a plastic or some sort of a wall of something extremely thin (like the dried soapy/shampoo theory) is being touched and broken down, whenever I place a qtip in there
Or
Even sometimes, I can replicate the SOUND,... like when I rub the area of my ear from the outside...
