- Americans celebrated Independence Day on July 4 with a parade in Washington, D.C. in a celebration of patriotism, not politics, said U.S. President Donald Trump.
The celebrations kicked off in Washington late in the morning, with a parade featuring marching bands and men and women in uniform.
The parade also attracted some protesters who say they are unhappy with the president’s military-themed events. They inflated a giant balloon depicting Trump as a baby wearing a diaper and let it float nearby the parade route.

We have nothing to learn about military from any country ....sometimes in the past, we have made errors like everybody but we always brought correction
We only have the army our economy is able to back and we waist less mony than some super powers.....
Unfortunately a lot of liberals think military parades are something fascists and third-world countries do so they won't let us have them :(

This is utterly laughable.... Compare this to the ticker tape parades of the 60's when America was genuinely great not the embarrassment it is today.
A civilian parade with some military is very American on July 4th but the Trump version is vulgar and un-American. It is a rally for his important donors. This is really a Trump campaign event; not a July 4th for everyone. Hopefully, we can return to the good taste of the traditional 4th next year. The display of "might" is more appropriate in Moscow's Red Square.
