After vehemently disagreeing with joey for years over bare bottom tanks I finally made the change and I love it ,the tank looks and is cleaner ,the fish look better as the background is black it makes the base quite dark anyway like a blacked out tank …I look back at my old sand filled tanks now and they lack that HI def clarity my tank has now …the wood dosent look as natural against a bare bottom but it’s a worthy trade off

Crazy to think youve been on youtube for so long. Ive watched you since the very beginning. I still remember your first fish youve had on here and how devastated you were when your sting rays had the unfortunate accident and arowana jumped out. Even the gar when tou had that. And not gonna lie, i loved your building vids. Your creativity showed alot then. Still dont know how your scrawny tail was able to lift some of those builds. Either way, im glad you you kept with it. I love your vids and always will. One day i will get to come to your new gallery and finally meet ya. You've inspired me to do much, and taught me so much with the aquarium hobby. So id like to say thank you for doing what you do. We all appreciate what you do. And if some dont, they can stop watching. They dont know what youve all gone through, all the floods you had to clean up, and all the joy as saddness youve gone through all these years. Im just glad you can keep on going and grow in this hobby. (Still think you should open a small store tho and breed. Think that would be amazing to watch and get some of your babies that we can grow along with you)

watching this video was like sitting with my buddy telling war stories.. remember that year when all of us were asking if you had fish anymore.. that video you posted about what happened to the string rays has heart breaking.. yet also what exactly what was needed. Hopefully that picture of your stringrays (believe someone drew it for you) makes its way to the gallery... maybe even a nod to Buddy and Frank. Id rather see the new space setup in a way that makes it so you can engage people in the gallery more vs having to clean a tank.. maybe some sorts of easy water change system .

I seen your fix for the plate glass lid and I have to share this with you…. I have the glass sliding canopy on my 6 foot 125 the annoying ones that have 6 panels running between 4 tracks and one day about 6 months ago I dropped one while changing the water without anything else to fix it on hand I used a generous amount of original gorilla glue the brown/amber stuff that foams as it cures I applied it to the broken edges of both pieces as well as on both sides I then put wax paper over it and stacked some heavy books on top of it… keep in mind that it broke in half so i didn’t even have the ability to use it as is anyways I let it set up for two days and it’s been in place ever since I remove all the panels when I change the water because the tank has to be almost full making it bulge out before the tracks will fit so it’s not like I just set it there and forgot about it and it’s held up really well it doesn’t look very pretty however it’s fixed and it’s been about 6 months and I haven’t had to replace anything yet so hopefully someone will get some use from my experiment

I am so glad to finally see you happy and enjoying what you do again. Keep it real and just Joey doing what you enjoy most and it will be great. Sure some people want you guys on RUclips to do what they like but what made me subscribe and start watching your videos was your passion and joy in your fish buddies. It expanded my interest in them that I already had and made me start thinking about having some tanks of my own after watching you and some of the other fish RUclipsrs. I am glad you are going to start a bigger place so you can keep your fish from now on too.... I was almost as sad as you seemed when a regular was being rehomed to make room for a new fish, I was so sad for you because I could see how much you care for your fish...they all have such personalities that are varied and some just downright entertaining...lol. Anyway I am happy to see you doing it your way again and hope you get to enjoy your aquariums and find your beautiful happiness and love of your hobby again.
