This is an honest part of the hobby. Good for you for rehoming him and not allowing on of them to kill the other. You did the right thing. I enjoy watching, thanks for showing fishkeeping the humane and honest way. You aren't just throwing a bunch of fish in a backyard pool to get likes.

I dont get why people get angry or mad at people because of something like this.
You only did whats in the best interest of the animal and thats what a responsible owner has to do.
Its sad to see the fish go but thats what had to be done in order for it to not get bullied by the other fish.

I'm not a big fan of rehoming and I kinda get where people are coming from, but each and every time Joey makes sure to find a good new home for them. He doesn't just dump them on some selling site or anything.

Hi Joey! I started my freshman year of college in 2016, and been following you through your youtube videos. Now im finishing my senior year with a degree in Environment & Sustainability, and your videos have always inspired me to keep up in the hobby! I currently have 4 fish tanks in my small college room, but you large aquariums have always satisfied my craving for more. THANK YOU! for putting your life and fish journey on RUclips for us to follow. Ill miss the arowana, big time. Buddy was our friend too, and we miss him. Thank you again for everything! love from Minnesota.

I think that is one of my favorite things about your channel Joey, is that you show us the good, the bad and the ugly. so that we can learn thru your experiences. You made the best choice possible for that fish. I think it is awesome that you always keep a backup plan, just in case. That shows you are very responisble & that you do truly love your fishys. Keep up the great work, and we will keep tuning in.

Takes courage to be this honest. I’ve been in the hobby for 12 years now and bad things happen. Even when we feel we’re prepared for them. It’s amazing what happens to you this far in that’s completely new. That’s why watching Joey go through this adventure is interesting. There will always be something new that happens good or bad. I can only imagine how hard this video was to make... Buddy was the best and loosing a fish like that is like loosing a best friend. I live the respect you have for the animals you keep. It take an amazing person to part with a fish like that Arrowana with his stunning colouration. I’m sure he will adjust well to his new home. I don’t care what others say what you do is real and I have great respect for you. P.S I got your book for Christmas and was over the moon with all the information you packed into it. Thanks to you, we have learned a great deal about the aquarium hobby (and finding additional resources through some of your fellow YT buddies) Now we have multiple freshwater predator tanks.
Hearing you go through things we face in our daily lives, it is reassuring for us as hobbyists. :)

Your a badass joey... idc what people think or say about you as a fish keeper/hobbyist and or a person in general. I have seen more then my fair share of your videos and it shows you put your fish on a very high pedestal and they mean a lot to you and you would only do what's best for them or what ever it takes to keep the safe whether its transferring them to a different tank or finding them a new home....(never regret any decision you make that pertains to your fishes safety) I personally have a very large respect for you and your videos/information you provide to us as fellow aquarium keepers.. I look forward to watching your videos at the end of the day to see what I can learn from your extensive knowledge of this hobby... have a good day buddy.

The journey the gallery been through has been eye opening compared to what we initially imagined. I think we all thought it was going to be smooth sailing, but it's unfortunate that the random accidents happened, changing the trajectory of what was planned. You've done an awesome job adapting to the hardships, doing some of the most difficult things not many would be willing to do. We're still with you with whatever the outcome. Also hope you have a Happy birthday, Joey!

Totally respect the transparency. There is another popular fish channel (Nick Bingo) which gets new fish every single week pretty much and rarely addresses what happened to his other fish when they vanish (which is very often)
Your losses are miniscule when you consider how many fish you keep an any given time.

Its hard to re-home fish but sometimes its what's best. Rather that than have then killed by a tank mate. You did what was best. Respect 👍

My god Joey I haven't realized how long I've been watching your video until you told the timeline omg time flies by when you're curious to see what's gonna happen next. I've been watching since maybe a year or so before the gallery announcement I remember telling my dad about it and stuff. He used to run a "store" with outdoor natural ponds with rainbow trouts that customers could fish themselves and then my dad would clean them and wrap them up on the spot for the customers to take home and cook. Would love to see the gallery one day tho I'm in North East New Brunswick but one day I would love to see it with my own eyes 🤩💙

Thank you for this video. I had a 100gal mature community tank. One night the heater malfunctioned and cooked all my fish while I was asleep. I was devastated. But I started over and now the 100gal has S.A. cichlids, and I have a 60gal African cichlid tank and a 60gal community tank. We're talking about trying our hand at a salt water tank next.

Oh, Buddy..♥️ We loved you so much. So sad seeing this over again.... And Frank too, we miss you♥️
I'm sorry that it didn't work out as you planned with these new Arowanas. You're a good guy. And we understand that thing's happen, and thing's do change. I think you made a great choice, rehomeing that Blood Red is going to make him a happy life with lots of space and love!
We love you, Joey. Keep it up!♥️

Tough one to watch but life isn't always easy... you have made the right decision in the best interests of the fish, something to be proud of, because it's clear to see how hard that decision was. Took balls to do that.

Do what’s best for the fish. Sometimes it’s tough to let go but it’s in their best interests. I need to rehome a pair of Leleupi due to aggression in the tank but can’t find anyone to take them

Joey, love your vids and your complete honesty and transparency with everything. Although mistakes do happen, you rarely see anyone making vids of them for others to help learn from. Just an idea for a future vid is maybe try and get with your friends that have helped you rehome some of your fish and do a special update on how they are all doing.
