Another great Shaye original that defies the ages. This tune sounds like it came right out of the 20s or 30s. Her interpretation and feel for this music is astounding.....................
Agreed. My favourite moments whenever they play this are those arpeggios in which four of them take a note each, at 03:09 - 03:13 and 03:18 - 03:22. That must be so tricky to get spot on every time. It seems to me that the entire piece is in the key of B flat and that the Second Theme (first heard from 01:10 to 01:30 and then again from 01:30 to 01:50 ) uses the popular V - I - V - I chord sequence. At 01:47, Shaye's hand-on-the-head signal tells them to go back to the First Theme but her finger signal at 02:08 returns them to the Second. By the way, they are playing the piece at a quicker tempo these days than when they recorded it for their 'Blue Chime Stomp' CD in 2016.
@@PopsCoffee Yes I agree with you. Maybe I am wrong, but somehow these arpeggios reminds me on another fine composition by Shaye. Some Kind a Shake. Only my thoughts.
You are so right, Davee402! In 'Some Kind-a-Shake' the use of such arpeggios is even more amazing. You have Todd, Barnabus, Shaye and Craig over a period of four bars playing just one note each in turn through rising arpeggios. I have tried to work them out. They may be G flat diminished, topped by a G; and then A flat diminished topped by an A respectively; but I am not at all sure. They are always brilliantly executed.
Let only music rule the world fans, you are doing a great job indeed, let's dedicate this cute cheerful track those who need to become your supporters from now on & never let bad guys win to screw us the joy of life Ok? I am the biggest supporter of yours guys
