    I dont give likes often..But this one is well deserved.. Theses guys saved me several times.. A few months ago I suffered from severe pain in my left shoulder, left side of the neck, left arm and upper back. I used these type of videos and the pain went away after 2 weeks of doing some of these drills. I work in front of the computer all day and I always knew I am not sitting properly. I was constantly slouching. And when checking my phone (which happens a lot) I look down for extended period of time. These drills helped me fixed the way I sit. And as I said previously relieved the pain substantially after every repetition.
    Although the pain is now gone, now I started to feel a strain in my left bicep. I dont have any pain but its really stiff. Once again, I turned to Bob & Brad and that is how I ended up on this current video. And let me tell you, I just followed Bob (while sitting, not even laying down) and I can see the effectiveness of this movement.
    Keep up the great work guys! Thank you so much. You save people a lot of time and money by putting this information out there. Thats a beautiful thing.

    I just want to thank Bob and Brad. I had pain in my right shoulder/bicep for about 5 months. It wasn’t anything too painful but sometimes a 6 or 7 at night. It wasn’t noticeable during the day. I did every PT exercise for months and no change. Did this for 90 seconds the first night and my pain went down to a 2. The next night I forgot I had pain at all. This really works.

      I am a 75 yr old woman, I’ve been a T Rex my whole life, little short arms, great legs, good energy. Sports my whole life. My husband said this injury was inevitable: from a pickleball match a month ago! One too far reaching forehand and I felt it “go”. Have been following these famous PT LADS since then. They are very helpful. Also, TIME is your friend, as the body needs time to calm down after an injury like that. It’s a shock to the whole system, not just the one area. As I am older, I know this is gonna take longer to heal. Having these guys around makes you feel more in control tool of your fate. Don’t rush it and never give up. Play with JOY!

    I just wanted to say- I have had some sort of a very painful left distal bicep tendon issue for 6 weeks. Lifting weights is like my version of church. It is one the most important things in my life and the most helpful thing for me to relieve stress. Anyway, this injury has been a huge source of stress because it was impacting a lot of my lifts, I had to have my training partner help me lift dumbbells for my overhead presses etc. Anyway, I've been scouring the internet for some remedy and found this video. I tried this stretch last night and then again this morning and sitting here tonight the pain is absolutely gone. I know I still need to take it easy and am not going to go do preacher hammer curls or anything for a little while, but I cannot emphasize how helpful this was to me. Thank you both!

    Guys, this video is brilliant! Strained my arm the other day through over exertion pruning a tree! Treated it as a pulled muscle but by yesterday was in agony. Then, I came across your video, realised I had damaged the tendon so did the exercise twice before bed; the pain had decreased a lot so did not have to take painkillers.
    Woke 3 times in the night and did the exercise again each time. When I woke in the morning, the pain was about level 2 but still with some soreness. Will continue with the exercise whilst it heals, but I am so glad I watched your video. Thank you.

      So what was your out come? Did this work?

    • @Michaelw777.52
      @Michaelw777.52 2 года назад +1

      @@fernandom783 It didn't for me. I didn't try it for more than a few days though. I literally could not do the exercise exactly as shown as it was too painful, but did the best I could. I absolutely did not have the range of motion to do this exercise. A few weeks later, after one especially painful aching night (I learned the true meaning of _ache_ !) , I went to the doctor. Got a corticosteroid shot a week ago. That has helped. But the bottom line (for me at least, I totally can't speak for others): it's a slow healer and the doctor hinted it could take months. My age might matter at 68: the older we get the longer it takes to heal. The exercise might be more useful now than when I first pulled it. Part of the pain was undoubtedly from some swelling (though the swelling was never obvious in my case), pushing the tendon out of its normal spot. And I know that, after hearing the doctor explain the snap/crackle/pop (yay Rice Krispies, lol) that I also got moving it around. If that is the case, the exercise wouldn't do much where the swelling was concerned.
      So I'll bottom line it now and say that the exercise probably works, but that right after the initial injury, you should apply cold to keep the swelling down, and then a day later start applying heat in addition to the exercise. Since I did neither, that may be why it's healing more slowly. For me (I feel I have to keep saying that), the best healing has come from simply not using the arm much, resting it as much as possible and certainly not in aggravating it by pulling anything with the arm outstretched. I can pull and lift things with the elbow against my ribs. I should be a bit more detailed and add that the tendon I pulled was in the right deltoid area. And I learned just using my right hand - even for typing as I am right now - tires that deltoid area out and will eventually cause pain too. It's an interesting lesson - and my wife had to point it out. It is interesting how the muscles in the fingers and hand/forearm affect the deltoid area.
      I'll add one more thing, a lesson aging has taught me that has been a big surprise. Old injuries that I thought were healed from decades ago have come back to say Hi! Still here! So when you're younger, you "heal" in part because the body adapts around the injury, not necessarily that it heals back to its original self. And as we age, we tend to start to lose muscle mass, which for my old injuries seems to be how my body adapted.

    Thank you guys so much, been watching for years, been having a hard time figuring out weather my current pain was rotator cuff or bicep tendonitis and this video helped me realize ive been doing several exercises that could irritate my bicep tendon in the shoulder area, its not very painful, and it was difficult to pin point, but can feel the inflammation. The pain was worse while training so, now i will change some exercises and utilize this, I need the gym and exercise for my mental health and it i destroys my confidence and enjoyment when I get repetitive injuries, ive been doing exercises to prevent rotator cuff tears so it was very upsetting when the shoulder pain came on. Anyway thank you so much 🙌🏼 whats confusing is that I don't feel pain when curling, instead I feel pain when lateral raising or bent over lateral raises

    • @AntstrengthUnlimited
      @AntstrengthUnlimited 3 года назад +2

      @@bv2799 im about 94% healed , so I have really focused in on how I perform my rotator cuff exercises, I was most likely over extending and hitting the center back more than the actual rotator cuff, its a difficult movement to master , but getting better , I also have been focusing on my lower traps, which is another muscle responsible for helping to keep the shoulder back and down. For a while there I was only training upper traps with shrugs, they are powerful muscles so I can see how easily a muscle balance could occur , its my theory that many injuries such as repetitive ones stem from muscle imbalances , because even when relaxing, the muscles are constantly pulling on your skeleton, so over time and agrivating bad habits like poor posture, or forgetting to train the smaller less noticeable muscles muscle imbalances occur, and tbh that's been the cause of many of my injuries all of which I've been able to recover from and be just as good if not better than before , catch is being self aware enough to catch it early and act to correct before you get past the point of no return , ive had the same injuries come back years later, and new ones pop up and most the time its due to laziness, just not performing the exercises correctly enough , or neglecting the smaller ones like I said. So for now I will continue to strengthen my lower traps & rotator cuff, work on staticly stretching the upper traps( to keep them from pulling my humerus up into my bicep tendon) keep working on shoulder capsule flexibility, and utilizing some of these realease techniques ect, where ever the pain is located, the problem is around it, ive come to notice over the years so any other techniques I pick up along the way I will continue to utilize what I feel is helping and drop what isn't. While remaining patient and consistent. Also utilizing heat to help draw blood to the area and cold to help reduce inflammation when needed. MASSAGE ect also feel like having my arm bent all the time typing on my phone is aggregating aswell. Taking tumeric, msm, ect. Also my left arm is the one I had mrsa infection in that needed surgery and thus a piece of bicep was removed unfortunately, feel like the left side of my body has always been beat up lol also changed my bicep stretching methods to fully supinated

    I will try this and see if it helps. My current issue is all around the elbow with the forearm and bicep. then shooting pains on occasion up my arm to my shoulder. I know it is all related. The most pain is from when lifting a water bottle in a hammer curl position. Mainly the upper 5% of the lift. Also pain when I rotate my from palm up to palm down. As far as I can tell it is mainly a forearm muscle issue. I have been using a thera-band and doing curls and rotations. Trying to move slowly and going through full range of motion. I have also been doing some forearm stretches because that one muscle does feel sore and tight. The majority of the pain is in the lower bicep fully curled upwards making me very weak in the arm.
    Any suggestions for exercises and or a sleeve to help support the muscles and tendons??

    I've been having pain in my right arm for about six months now, consistent with distal bicep tendinitis, and I'm getting fed up with it. Going to try this and see if it helps! :)

    When I did this for rehab I tended to hitch my shoulder up towards my ear. That tendency was from the chronic pain from bone spurs that had been removed. I had to focus to not do that.

    Thank you for the great info. Much more valuable than what I'm getting now. Going to Therapy for a torn bicep tendon and supraspinatus tear, I am a Pilates instructor that rehabs many body parts and was hoping they would give me specific exercises like you guys just did but sad to say they do not have a clue. It feels like most give everyone that has had surgery or paid the same exercises :(

    What the... How did this work so well?! After doing some chin ups a few weeks ago, I've had this nagging bicep pain near the elbow whenever I supinate my forearm. Yesterday I lifted some luggage weird and it really hurt.
    After this exercise it doesn't hurt to supinate my forearm anymore.... HOW? Magic?!
