- We're following developing news that two Nevada State Police troopers were killed Thursday morning on I-15 near Charleston Blvd. State police tell us the troopers stopped to help a motorist when they were hit by a driver who then left the scene. Follow updates to this story at ktnv.com
Many Las Vegas drivers DRIVE TOO FAST, are VERY disrespectful, and RUDE to other drivers. No signaling, swerving to get”to the front” as fast as possible, because they’re completely self-centered. ….It’s AWFUL.

Deepest sorrow for the troopers and family. Las Vegas has more than it's share of inept drivers who hit & run, DUI,
speed and are distracted every day. Then an asinine judge releases them with no bail and later gives them probation
to go drive again and reoffend.

Sad news, being a cop in today's world is super challenging to say the least.
So many cop families are scared their husband/father won’t come. Luckily he usually just fell asleep at his girlfriend’s house.

Such a senseless loss of two people who were just trying to make this world a better and safer place for all of us. Drivers need to slow down, pay attention and stay the hell of their ell phones. We do not know that yet so let’s not assume. Maybe it was someone driving and texting or someone that loss control of their car or maybe it was someone drunk or maybe high on some other substance but at this time we really do not know what happened

Our heart felt prayers for the families of our two murdered Brave Nevada State Troopers who were killed while assisting a driver on the side of the freeway. Did I read this correctly?! The driver who hit these two officers left the scene. Guaranteed the driver was drunk; at three in the morning! If they find him/her then the penalties should be very, very severe. No excuse.

Whenever I hear that a LEO has been killed, my heart breaks for the families knowing their husband, father, son, uncle, grandfather won’t ever walk through the front door again. May God give everyone affected by this tragedy strength and hold them in the palm of His hands.
For a majority of those families that may be a relief. Pretty sure if it was looked into the amount of abuse these husbands or wives put their families through I'm sure is mind blowing.

This is really sad and it just shows we have to be more aware when driving. There are many people working on our roadways from construction to emergency people. Keep your eyes on the road and be aware of your surroundings. I assist people on the road just because I like to and it can be scary at times.
We need to take a stand as a community and say this is enough. We need to hold these judges accountable when somebody gets a DUI we need harsher penalties and DUI leading to death should be life sentence mandatory. Any judge that does not comply vote them out this is getting out of hand and ridiculous and it's way overdue

This is sad, however, when the bad actors see this procession with all officers participating, it tells them it is time to go to get busy stealing, robbing, etc.

I’m all for showing respect but that stopping the freeway sucks for a lot of people trying to live their lives. In addition don’t we have record level crime, missing woman and children. That’s a lot of officers not addressing those issues. Prayers for the families.

Wow, a very similar thing happened in Philly. Two state troopers and a pedestrian were struck and killed on I-95 as the state troopers were helping the pedestrian who was reportedly walking on the highway. My condolences to the families.
