    When something like this happens, the suspect's medical records should have to be released so we can see what medications he was on. Maybe something can be learned from it.

      Thats a very general statement. The US has 360,000,000 people. There were 574 mass shootings in the US as of 12/07/2023. That includes gang shootings. So out of 360,000,000 people only .000001594% of the population commit mass shootings. "is no hope for a sane society?" I think we're doing good. Most places age discriminate. It’s not surprising that a white collar professional position, does not want to hire a new-hire that’s 67 years old. Now I can see if this guy was 37, 47, or 57 and going postal. But it’s a fact of life, that it’s very rare, to find a high paying job at age 67. (Yes if you’ve already been employed for many years and you turn 67, and they’re trying a force you out, then that’s a reason to be pissed) but not getting hired as a new hire to 67 is pretty common. Unless you’re looking for a low paying substitute teacher job, seasonal election poll worker. Those places often hire senior citizens.

      yes age discriminaton cant be proved or inforced usually

    • @MikeCee7
      @MikeCee7 11 месяцев назад

      @@rogerrosen2323 No I’m not. I guess there’s multiple ways of reading it & interpreting it. The point I was trying to make, is that it should be apparent that at age 67, he’s not gonna be hired as a new-hire at a university. (Maybe someone like Neil Armstrong, or Thomas Edison, or Steven Spielberg, would be hired as a (adjunct) professor at age 67 at Princeton, for example) (to teach one class)
      -
      That’s beyond the age people retire. Some places force you out at age 65. CEOs of many Blue-chip Fortune 500 companies you’re forced out at age 65.
      (I know from working in one, and getting the emails when the CEO is getting to be at retirement age)
      -
      I don’t know what the agent is for airline pilots. But I think air traffic controllers, are forced to retired at age 60. Granted, teaching is not as strenuous as being an air traffic controller, but it’s not a surprise that you’re not gonna get a new hire at that age. He had tenure at his previous university in North Carolina.
      -
      (yes, and don’t throw in the presidential candidates who are in their late 70s. because that’s something people have to choose you for, That’s not going into the interview, and some interviewer age discrimination you, right as soon as you walk in the door)
      -
      Like I wouldn’t be surprised if Taylor Swift turned me down, but if Cher turned me down, I’d be a little bummed out. 😂

So much going on here, the police seem to do nothing proactively or any crime prevention. We know when they have a flag football game. We know when they receive awards. We know when a class graduates. We know they react a lot after the fact. Criminals roam the neighborhoods all night, steal packages all day. Give me 10 officers and I’ll make arrest after arrest. It is not an excuse that prosecutors won’t charge. It is not an excuse that judges and magistrates release the criminals. The police cannot opt to do nothing. And that’s the way it appears.
